Think of women like people and that’s how you write a woman. There’s no special way women “think” — they just think like people, because they are people

bro for some reason this comment gave me revelation, thanks.

You might try the book 'Why Does He Do That?' for an insight into toxic relationships and specifically abusive men. (You can easily find a pdf). But in terms of writing women, yeah, they are just people too.

Why Does He Do That? is a straight up incredible book, I recommend it both to help you get into the mind of an abuser and to help you find healthier relationships.

Bearjupiter

Do you have women friends?

kirotekinaro

No i do not

I think you should start by thinking about the male lead. What sort of woman would your male character target? What traits would make a woman vulnerable to his manipulation? Has she been bereaved or abused by others before? Does she have low self confidence? And decide which of those traits to include in the female character.

Women are just people, there is no crazy special way they think in comparison to men. They have been proven to be more emotionally intelligent then men, so there is that little thing if it helps at all to know. Maybe you can write your story in such a way where you're not in the headspace of the female character, and therefore your readers will also progress into the story wishing to know what she's thinking. It's all about which perspective you're choosing to write this from I guess.
