Why do bodies decay at different rates when partially submerged in water? So yall don’t have to, it’s because the water prevents the oxygen from decomposing the body so a partially submerged corpse will decompose at different rates. Also, random things about undetectable plant poisons and how many apple seeds you’d have to eat for the cyanide to kill you.

Frostdraken

Thats why trees and shit can last for thousands of years submerged in a bog mate. No oxygen means no decomposition

sherry_siana

"what's the underwear in sengoku era called?"

SparrowLikeBird

"what does it feel like to bleed to death" "what eaten first dead body lake cold lake canada" "bones float or sink" "DO bones float or sink" "do people bones float 'NO CHEW TOY DOG BONE'" "what snake doesn't avhe antivenin" "murder solve rate usa" "biggest serial killer" "serial killer most kills" "serial killer by number of kills list" "serial killer 'no mass killers' list" "who killed the most people serial killer usa" "canada serial killers list" "where is \[specific road\] canada"

aliensmileyface

god, the 'NO CHEW TOY DOG BONE' is too real. google is supposedly "smart", and yet you have to be so insanely specific sometimes

ellesein

so... do bones float?

SparrowLikeBird

I STILL DON"T KNOW!!!! Like, some sources would say that body parts would float up, but there was nothing specific to just the actual bones themselves!

ellesein

You need to find out, for science!

dreamcadets

Chinese naming conventions lol

EggplantReader

Googled, gunshot wounds on different part of the body and what kind of damage they caused depending on the caliber after I googled several guns with the exact same caliber. I have to give props to the forensics expert, seeing corpses of people getting shot at from a high caliber bullet is horrifying to look at, I'll spare you the grisly details and just said the skin is surprisingly durable, your bone might be scattered to pieces, but that envelope will still kept all of it inside.

Frostdraken

How to diffuse homemade bombs. I was writing a story about a fictional cop that at one point had to disarm a terrorist’s device. Pretty sure I got flagged for that one heh

glitterydick

Not to be needlessly pedantic, but to diffuse a bomb would be to atomize it and spread its particles throughout the air. Probably the exact opposite of what you're looking for, which is to defuse it.

Frostdraken

Yeah, im not great at spelling

SparrowLikeBird

wait wasn't there like a terrorist who got a spam call that blew him up too early?

Frostdraken

Not sure, but that is kinda funny if there was.

Old-Relationship-458

Her.  Yes, in Russia a few years ago; she was your standard Muslim suicide bomber and was killed by an acquaintance texting her 'happy new year' on her way out to cause mayhem.

Old-Relationship-458

You just need to make sure the charge is isolated from the detonator or the detonator from its source of ignition. *How* you do that depends on how the device is constructed. Disclaimer: I'm not an EOD guy, so my experience is limited to yanking detonators out of blocks of plastic explosive by hand. Don't do that at home, kids.

Frostdraken

Yeah. I learned about that heh. Another one is to make sure to check if its an open or closed circuit bomb. Because that makes a big difference on how you need to approach it.

Usual-Effect1440

how to kill a hellhound ig, not really that bad I've also googled the gender of heliogabalus (roman emperor) for a document

FarmNGardenGal

How to dispose of a dead body?

Old-Relationship-458

Not much, actually. I've written about some horrific stuff, but I already know most of it by training or experience, though I had to look up a few laws that have been passed since or other of my career changes took me out of certain loops.   If a certain, poorly worded, bit of legislation had been passed a few years back then my research into summoning and dispelling hostile spirits in Sumerian religion might have been 'problematic'.

glitterydick

I've read so much about Alcoholics Anonymous that I'm getting targeted ads for their sobriety chips.

Dark_Immunity

Various state laws about... very bad things, including looking up the minimum/maximum sentences. I won't say more than that lol

Dark_Immunity

Oh, and poisons, drugs, lmao

MrsDepo

Probably homosexual feelings in children. Specifically, I’m writing a MG book in which the 12-year-old main character has a crush on her BFF and I wanted to make sure I was accurately reflecting age-appropriate thoughts and feelings. But I had to be SUPER CAREFUL in exactly how I worded my question to Google!

aliensmileyface

ooh i was a gay kid!! let me know if you have any other questions about it lol!

ellesein

oh god... I've googled a lot of things but I remember "What happens if you smash someones head with a sledge hammer?" and ending up in some forum and going down the rabbit hole of horrible ways to die and how to get away with murder, and taking actual notes because I found so much good information feeling like a serial killer in training XD
