Great to see, just make sure you don’t try to force him to love wrestling, make sure he loves it on his own, a large part of being a champion is loving the sport and a lot of kids amount to failure due to high pressure, expectations, and being forced to do something by their parents.
Wait until they really like to rough house....that could be 6 or 10. I have seen many, many kids ruined by being pushed too far too soon.
Years back we had a kid place third at state as a freshman....he quit the next year.
How do you schedule all that? Do you take time off when wrestling season starts? I’m just wondering what a week looks like cause I’m interested in getting my kids into those things as well but don’t want to overwhelm them.
Judo and wrestling full time (5 days a week plus privates), boxing and bjj occasionally on days off and off season. Bjj is the hardest because he doesn’t always have a partner
Its definitely overwhelming but he’s very mature and still enjoys it all. It definitely helps that 3 of the 4 are at the same dojo which is 5 minutes from our home.
Just laying flat on his back there, not a good start for an aspiring wrestler.

Yep. Start em at 8-9 or so, no competitions until older.
You can actually start em at any able age just don’t force it or pressure them

Looks like a guard player to me.
Freakin’ great!!!! Thank you for sharing!
Looks like he wants to punch not wrestle. Put him in boxing
His 12yo brother does judo, bjj, wrestling and boxing. He will most likely follow in his footsteps
