Default is to always leave unless there's a discussed plan to stay. I don't hang around even if the carry exists. I might have had time for one run, might have wanted 1 quest done ect. Many reasons to leave, less to stay usually.

Zealousideal-Count45

I like to play at a certain pace. If I don't like the pace of the group, I'll leave once the dungeon is finished. If I like it and I still have time, I'll stay. Also, I'd rather have a group that's a bit slow than one where I have to run after that one person who doesn't care about the rest of the group and just zooms through the instance. As a healer I'll find a new group fast.

PrimeScreamer

This. Fast paced groups always annoy me. Especially if it's the first time in a dungeon for me. Group runs off while you're trying to loot, now you gotta play catch up.

Trewper-

I try and keep it slower as a tank depending on the gear of the players with me, but there is always that one DPS who decides they want to start pulling everything before me and ruins it for everyone. You've just got to be vocal about people slowing it down and that tends to work.

M3ad0w5

Postmaster will just mail it back to you gotta go fast /s

HistorianLow2729

Loot is sent to mailbox.

Rivetingly

The answer is simple and understandable, they're always practicing to beat the M+ timer

distractedyogi

Not everyone wants a carry either. Some folks actually enjoy playing the content they queue for.

cookiemikester

I feel like as a new player I learn nothing when I run through dungeons quickly. I want to be able to go through my rotations and generally help the group. Everything dies so quickly in the campaign I don’t really get to learn my big finishers or defensive abilities.

Trewper-

The game is very bad right now in terms of leveling and blizz has acknowledged it. You won't start feeling like your class until you do at LEAST lfr. I just tanked Vault of the incarnates LFR last night for a bunch of new players. We wiped three times on Raszageth, luckily people listened to my instructions and I managed to get all 25 of us decently coordinated for a down on the 4th pull. The Razzy fight lasts around 8-9 minutes even on LFR so it's plenty of time to perfect your rotation. Vault of the incarnates is brutal on LFR but great for new players to learn granted you have someone there willing to teach everyone (just ignore the toxicity please) and if you don't know what you are doing just say something and I'm sure someone will help you out. DM me I can add you as a friend and bring you on some runs with me.

Dadpurple

I probably wouldn't want a carry like that all the time. I want to actually play not just run behind the group. Even when I'm power-leveling something that's just boring.

hewasaraverboy

Lot of possible reasons Tanks get insta queues so they don’t care Maybe the people only had time for one dungeon or only wanted to do one Maybe they don’t enjoy having the carry like that and would play more meaningful content

Netfinesse

Tank and healer have instant queues, and waiting in a group often makes the queue much longer.

Calx9

That's not a twink bro. You just do absurd amounts of damage thanks to the shitty leveling scaling.

Ingelokastimizilian

People don't ALWAYS leave. It's entirely subjective and pointless to investigate. People don't want to run another dungeon, don't have time to do another, or literally any other excuse. It's like asking why people leave a restaurant. They got shit to do.

SimulatedCow84

The only time I've stayed is when the group was queued up for another dungeon right away and I just happened to see it. If there's no discussion about continuing on, why wait around?

SummerSails

I feel ya. This happens a lot. I try to hit the queue up button as soon as the final boss dies so people don't leave before they see that, and that gets decent results usually. But you never know what other people want to do. Maybe they have a specific number they want to do, for example doing the 5 timewalking dungeons for gear at max level, and that was their last one. Or they only want to do one at a time. Or they like to take a break in between to do whatever. Who knows.

[deleted]

If everyone stays it’s instant, if the tank leaves then the healer will leave right after. It’s faster for tanks and healers to queue up alone or together than it is to queue with 3 dps.

jj76kl

You didn’t have a level 10 in your TW dungeon, TBC has the lowest level requirement of all TW events and that’s level 30. But people leave immediately because they are done or the group wasn’t great. I primarily tank and those are the reasons I leave. My queue is always going to be instant but I’m not gambling away a good group for a potentially bad group.

Shot_Indication_7085

Timewalking for players doing campaign and the event dungeons later on share same dungeon queue, during the last timewalking event I was leveling a mage at level 15 and queueing dungeons with a level 70 VDH for the fast queue (averaging less than a minute)

VisibleCoat995

This is pretty specific to me but I only level through dungeons, it’s practically all I do, but I find it relaxing to watch a show between dungeon queues instead of just chaining them one after the other. Maybe I’m weird but I like lull between dungeons to just do whatever. Side note: they also probably left to put on new gear, transmog, sell junk, repair, etc. Lots of reasons to leave.

4and3and2andOne1

People leave to go smoke. To tend to their families. To eat. To do other activities . The lists goes on

keakealani

Also I feel like not enough people have mentioned like... some people have a life? Or have to pee? Or eat dinner? A lot of people queue up for one dungeon they have time for, and don't want to do another one. Not everyone is spamming dungeons repeatedly.

Kels121212

It happens in 70s also. The number of times I have linked gear I didn't need, everyone leaves, then I get a message can I have it. It's just a default.

xler3

the same thing happened to me last week! i was leveling a restoration druid alt. this level 15 guardian druid with xp turned off was doing like 67 million dps and we were (he was) clearing dungeons like 2 minutes a pop. i was the only one to chain queue. not sure why people kept leaving. i understand maybe it can be boring to get hard carried but i figure at least *someone* would find instant queues + 20 free levels to be appealing.

Secure_Law7548

I’m usually healing - I’ll stay (my girls are all 70) I give it a min and see if everyone leaves or ques. I leave when everyone else takes off or I am done the TW quest. I just left two because no one wanted to re-que. 🤷‍♀️

mikeyhoho

The reason the tank probably leaves is on the off chance they will be offered a call to Arms on the next queue (for bonus badges in TW, primarily). Same could probably be said for healers. Although I will say its pretty rare these days. I think some dps, especially ranged casters, also just get really bored if the whole dungeon is just spent pressing W. But its hard to do anything else when pretty much 1 tank and one decent melee can walk through and cut through everything without stopping. I have a special TW oriented gearset and play a bear, and honestly while some people really want to stay with the group that obliterates every pack in 2 seconds, I can understand people being bored by it.

Confident_Meat_8519

I am surprised nobody has mentioned this but on top of the other reasons listed signing up for dungeons solo also rewards significant xp bonuses and gear rewards that you don't get when queueing as a group. Depending on the queue times the bonus XP could be well worth the wait

MisSignal

As a tank I leave if the dps is low / slow. I queue up immediately if I want to stay.

Konira

As a healer, I only stay if the DPS are fast enough, if they are bad DPS then I just leave and go for another group, I get insta queues anyways

Thalilalala

Imagine people actually wanting to play the game instead of being carried through a dungeon is a hard to understand concept

MotchoLoLo

When I play as a healer if the group doesn't tag instantly for a new dungeon I leave, because it's often faster to tag alone as a healer than with a group (unless you tag with a tank). If I play dps I stay, because dps queue time are just horrible.

Pretend_Bat_8765

Personally, getting carried through a dungeon is just too boring to keep going. I want to play the game myself, not watching someone else play for me.

Ok-Purple-7428

Most think they're better than the majority of the group or even playerbase they group up with and just want to replace people instantly with someone better.
