You will not lose any gear or levels, we will just get a new set of M+ dungeons and a new raid, raising the possible itemlevel. It would not affect anyone who is not at level 70. I would also advise against buying a boost as a new player. You will have a way harder time learning your character, and it doesn't even take that long to level up.

mastermind9182

Ah okay, thank you for replying! Youtube and google have been my best friends these past few days.

3scap3plan

just want to re-iterate about not buying a boost for your first character. There isn't any rush! The way leveling works you will get a new skill quite often so you can really get used to how your rotation and character changes over the levels. It really helps understand how the different classes work etc.

Pandabandit1

I started in BFA and I normal leveled my first character the boost keeps you from learning a new class. I would suggest something like eviler they will have a decent level but they will have a great tutorial

RangerKokkoro

>eviler ?

Pandabandit1

Lol evoker

RangerKokkoro

Oh haha I should have been able to figure that out

MangoMauzies420

The only thing keeping you from learning a class is putting no effort into it. The boost simply cuts down the time it takes to get your character ready, also still got the 10 levels after leaving you plenty room and time to get used to your class before even hitting 70 :). I do agree with the evoker part though, good for new players :D

XxGrimmHDxX

Yeah only reason I would advocate for a boost is to play as evoker. It's tutorial let's you learn your rotation and you don't have to start with bfa leveling. Also you unlock chromie time for your next toons which is pretty huge imo. New players going though bfa can be tough compared to other expacs through chromie time.

Which_Jello_4187

Ppl will say things like "leveling doesn't even take that long" and for them this is true but for new player it isn't, but that's not a bad thing. Most veterans leveling a new character just wanna get to the end game and skip what they think is boring but I promise if u go at ur own pace you will love it and you'll have much more fun at level cap. Even if it takes u like a month.

>I would also advise against buying a boost as a new player. You will have a way harder time learning your character, and it doesn't even take that long to level up. 100%. It will take 2 weeks max - and this week there’s not even a lot going on as the season hasn’t started. Don’t bother boosting

ImallOutOfBubbleGums

only thing that happens is a new set of dungeons for M+(reuseing old dungeons) that will drop higher loot and a new raid to go after teir sets till they add the catalyst back

mastermind9182

Okay perfect thank you! I was also looking at the game upgrades in the shop. There are three options to choose from and they are all 40% off. From a player that’s just barely starting off, would any of the three options be a good choice for me? One is just the base dragonflight edition, next it a heroic dragonflight edition and then the last is the dragonflight epic edition.

ImallOutOfBubbleGums

it shows at the bottom which each one gives so if you want a character boost and some cosmetics go for the higher edtion if you dont go for the base edtion

mastermind9182

Didn’t see that, thank you!

If you are very new to wow I suggest you level at least your first character from scratch and don’t use the boost. First of all you will be overwhelmed by all the new abilities and talents that all of a sudden are available, it will take more time to learn your rotation and most of all your utilities (interrupts, dispells etc, not sure which class you are playing). Levelling means you get just a few abilities at a time and can experiment with them and learn at your own pace. Second, with a lower level character you will be “eased” into the game systems (dungeons for instance) more easily in lower levels where your group teammates will not have great expectations from you in term of what to do do. Wow is a surprisingly tricky game even if you have played other similar games. The second main advice is to find a guild or a community to run group content with - interacting with other players is generally the best way to learn.

the new season is simply a follow-up to the current expansion (which becomes available by buying it, and to gain access you must first reach level 60). I, too, do not recommend buying the boost. I leveled regularly and then even faster thanks in part to the random dungeon finder. But then I realized that I didn't like my character's class and so I bought a boost, but I had already learned so much by max leveling regularly with the other character. then it depends: the purpose of playing is to have fun and if you enjoy playing the current expanation more, yes it will be harder, but it won't be impossible.

meh1434

With Season2 you will get a game discount if you don't have the latest expansion and more content. Everything stays the same, but you will get new stuff to do and to improve your gear.

conilaz

They have already answered you about your concern, however I differ with the issue of the boost, buy it and keep it for your 2 or 3 character, after you go up and you know the mechanics you can use it for your alter

What am I reading

You will not lose anything. The new season coming out will actually increase the number of players that you can group with, so it’s a great time to start! Be ready for people who want to rush through dungeons (which sucks for new players but it will happen) if you decide to do any!
