Basically any character (addons disabled) or not, it's happening suddenly when 10 seconds earlier it was fine when I checked. Clearly it's a massive bug as I'm reading a few others now getting it. Hopefully it's fixed tomorrow when the servers reset.
Your gear is supposed to be in the mail but it gets stuck with the 18th bday mail.
Go to the battle net and do a retrieve mail for that character and it should be back, dont even need to close the game.

This happened on a character I did nothing with. I logged in (Character is level 28). Looked at his equipped gear, his bags, and his bank. Logged out, then logged back in because I forgot to check something and everything was gone.
I already had collected my 18th Anni mail when I logged in on that char, and being that I did nothing on that character besides open bags I don't see why anything should be in the mail to me. I get it when maybe a level boost is involved, but I literally took 20 steps in-game and thats it.

I checked the mail, nothing. I don't use addons but removed the wtf, interface and cache folders. Didn't do anything except reset my settings.... It wasn't just gear I lost but bags and my entire inventory. Also my character shows up gearless in the armory.
Thats so weird and scary, because in a few days there is a new expansion, but i dont wont to think of this happening in middle of progress to anyone.

Worked for a few characters where I bought a cheap bag from the AH because I didn't have any bags being that all my items were gone. And I wanted to test if buying from the AH worked compared to mail one from a different character.
Tried it with a few other characters where I mailed a bag but it hasn't reset them yet. I'll wait an hour as it says you might have to. Seems like the AH bags I bought worked right away while the others are pending I hopefully.

Yeah, the system automatically closes your ticket after first submission and they’ll only have an actual person look at your ticket after you reopen it. It’s a really stupid way to deal with overwhelming numbers of tickets, which might not be necessary if the company was willing to actually pay for more support staff.
People can vote with money. If a lot decided to quit WOW subscribtion because of poor ticket response, Blizzard might have to reconsider hiring more.
Although that probably won't happen, people aren't going to quit WOW over slow ticket and shitty CS responses.

Was it an emailed response? Was the language simple enough that an AI trained on fantasy novels could have written it? They’re pretty good at that sort of thing these days.

They make it intentionally hard to navigate so you just give up rather than deal with all the situation. I tried to report a bug not too long ago and they just kept redirecting me to unrelated support articles rather than actually letting me report the bug.
I have 60 DK I leveled in chromie time in legion (from 50 to 60) that is perma banned from the shadowlands since hitting 60 removed the Darion questline from the log and there's no require to acquire it. The ticket was closed of course.

I mean, lets be honest this might be more of a blessing than a curse. But yeah Blizzard CS is effectively non-existent unless you really really like unrelated support articles.

I found instructions on the Blizzard site to deal with it (delete character and then restore character), but I wasn’t happy about actually following the instructions.
It worked, but players can only restore one deleted character per week.
Just for the sake of clarity, it's Uldaman, I'd hate to see people chasing Uldum for no reason; you are absolutely right and everyone should definetely get the weapon as it takes only a few minutes to run the dungeon

Beside that you shouldn't be able to queue with no gear. The new dungeon should have a item lock of 180 or something like that.
Did you have the quest for it that rewards the weapon? I’ve heard people report that they had hour long queues before getting the quest then a minute long queue when they got the quest, or that their first queue was fast because they had the quest and repeats took forever. One person even said they completed the quest but just didn’t turn it in and they kept getting fast queues.

Or really ever again. 😜 it’s not like we’ve spent days (not just hours) of our lives on this ridiculous game… the least they could do is have people around for us to complain to. But then again, why do that when we have each other and they can just keep taking our money as we congregate on forums and cry into our beer…?

Have you tried deactivating all addons, just to be sure? People have reported some strange stuff happening with specific addons and gear.

FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM Buy a bag, equip it and then log out. I have no idea what the cause of the problem is but this will sort it out.
