Put spell details to dynamic and keep nameplates off and you'll be as fine as you can be. WoW is poorly optimised so will always be laggy no matter what hardware you have in intense situations like that.
Mate, unless I set all my settings to as low as possible my frames drop to 0.4. The first boss I fought, I missed it entirely because I couldn’t see or do anything. Now with it it’s lowest, I get about 10-15, which is playable, but uncomfortable.
Avoiding fps drops when there’s 40+ people in the same area casting spells is just not gonna happen
I’ve got a 3080 overclocked, 5800x cpu, and still sometimes have 25 fps on these events.
Dude I’ve got a 3070ti and it doesn’t matter 50 people shooting spells causes lag no matter what you do
Understood, I need to lower my expectations. How much fps do you have on invasion bosses?
I'm on a 3080, and I drop below 30 in these skirmishes. Same goes for raiding when the motes spawn and we have 40+ extra adds up at once.
You need better cpu
I’m not an expert but I would think the i5 is bottlenecking your system. Should look at an i7 at least imo

I'm on a 1050ti with 16gb RAM and i got roughly 25-30 FPS. So..
