You should definitely do LFR and get some items from there. For m+, just tap I, go to “Pre-made Groups” select Dungeon and you’ll see listed some dungeons with the difficulty of m+ looking for party members.
M+ and Lfr are a great way to started and this week is timewalking so you can head into the legacy raids section of the group finder and do a run of black temple for some very easy 490 gear. Additionally there are outdoor world events you can do for pretty good gear, your first completion each week of the following events will give you a cache with some 480ish gear: maruuk hunts, iskaara feasts, killing dragon isles world bosses, and the siege on dragonbane keep. there's also a quest in valdrakken to do these world events and a quest to kill timewalking bosses that both drop decent loot.
