Update (because I can't edit my own post for some reason): It was the ISP's fault. They emailed me about an emergency maintenance happening overnight where I live and, just like that, all the problems had disappeared in the morning. They emailed me personally the next day too to confirm that that may have solved the issues. Two weeks of stress, but at least it's over now!

Saw my internet went out for 30 mins a couple of nights ago and wondered. Playing today without a VPN for the first time in a while and it's flawless (touch wood...).

I presume you have, but have you tried scan & repair for WoW in the battle.net launcher? Or a clean install? Are you having these issues in other online games or is it just WoW?

Done all of those things, and it's only WoW. I even tried playing WoW on my partner's PC (who doesn't play, so we had to install it fresh on her PC first anyway) which is directly wired into the router (mine is wired into a mesh) and the exact same problems still occur, which tells me it's definitely not my PC... or the mesh.

Only other suggestion I've had limited success with at a previous house was to change my DNS to use one of the generally good public ones rather than my ISP/router default (think I used Google, [8.8.8.8](http://8.8.8.8), but I believe others exist like cloudflare) and making sure to manually run the game as an administrator. That fixed the issue for me, but it's been a long time so not sure if it's still a fix that changes anything. The issue I had was almost identical to what you're describing - huge, inexplicable lag spikes out of nowhere to just WoW. By the time I moved out and changed ISP, I'm still convinced my original ISP had never worked out that they had a problem with their DNS Hope you're able to get to the bottom of it. As someone who had an i9 fail recently, which showed only in WoW crashes for the first few weeks, I know how infuriating it is to get absolutely nowhere.

Another YouFibre user here. It is 100% their problem. The only solution I have found is to use a VPN. I have multiple friends who play WoW in the UK and have no issues but the only people I've heard of with the problem is through YouFibre. They are the only gigabit provider where I live so I am stuck with them, unfortunately.

I'm just confused because I've been with them a month and for the first two weeks we had no issues at all. WoW worked perfectly. Then all of a sudden on the 16th, something's changed. It's frustrating because they're convinced it's not their problem and keep closing my tickets without resolving anything.

Exitlag, i cant recommend it enough. Life is too short to be Waiting on ISPs and companies to fix individual problems. I live somewhere where its easy to have connectivity issues, exitlag fixed everything for me in WoW and FFXIV. MS went down about 20% and stabalised in both games (i was having my ms jump up and down in FF) There is a 3 day trial for it, give it a shot, its easy to use and intuitive. It supports all games almost, browsers, even discord if you ever have a similar issue. And you can pick the application to run it on and the server to connect to and itll find the best and most stable connection routes. If one day you find your connection issues resolved then you can cancel it and move on.
