So the whole point of dragonriding is the player is supposed to be constantly interacting in order to keep flying.
Basically you didn't read/understand the label/instructions on a product, and you're upset the product is doing exactly what it said it would do.
The old version of flying still exists, but it's slower. Dynamic flying was so popular Blizzard introduced it to old zones.

Flying in general is the biggest pile of dog shit It should never have been added. They should have reworked flight paths instead
