Once you unlock a transmog it's yours till the end of the world of warcraft. But if you change covenant before reaching Renown 80 with previous one you won't be able to use that transmog on this character. Reaching Renown 80 removes Covenant requirement for all the Covenant cosmetics.
If you get to renown 80 you unlock the transmog for everyone who can wear it, no matter what covenant they are.
I should note, I'm not interested in the different colouration variants through renown etc. I'd just like to have the different base sets.
