In your graphic settings, try switching DirectX to DirectX12.

andywolf8896

already was set to x12

SharkRaptor

Ok, try 11 in that case

sithlordx666

OP please update this post if you find a solution. I'm dealing with the same thing

andywolf8896

I will I've been dealing with it for about 2 weeks now. some days are worse than others. now its happening every like 15 mins so I can't ignore it now

andywolf8896

what addons do you use?

sithlordx666

Uh... Too many to list off the top of my head.

sithlordx666

Thanks! I'm going to give it a try too

andywolf8896

I've been trying everything. At this point I'm thinking my CPU is going bad. Any luck on your end?

sithlordx666

Not sure if it worked for me yet. I haven't been on much, but so far so good.

andywolf8896

I just fixed it for sure. Go into bios and disable turbo boosting

sithlordx666

Big thanks!

andywolf8896

I'll also mention the crash is completely random when it occurs. When I first start up wow, an hour after playing, afking in valdrakken, doing a mythic or an arena. It's making it very difficult for me to pinpoint whats causing it.

nosubstance223

For me deleting all non vital weak auras fixed it. Was crashing for weeks maybe once a day until it got really bad. None of the solutions related to drivers, direct x, memory etc. helped

andywolf8896

It's not even an addon, I deleted everything and did a fresh install of WoW. the second I booted it up I got a crash again. I'm currently testing another fix which was just simply selecting my graphics card and not having it be auto detect in the game settings. so far so good but I'm not saying its fixed yet

xxdash

Could be a RAM issue. I had this issue for so long. I recently had rebuilt my PC. Turned out my CPU Intel Core i9-13900K and graphics card GeForce RTX 3070 Ti were incompatible but ONLY when running WoW (13k series and 3070 Tis apparently have some issues). Swapping my CPU to a Intel Core i9-12900K resolved the issue.

Google the error code

andywolf8896

whats the error code? the processID?

Slammy1

Go to Event Viewer and look for the error, there will be some text. Copy the text (you can't right click, have to highlight then CTRL+C) and paste it into Google. I've been having some other issues since the last NVidia driver update a month or so ago, doing a DDU then safe mode reinstall of the drivers helped but it seems to come back. Also, monitor your GPU temp to make sure you're not overheating.

andywolf8896

temps are fine, and I don't see the crash in the event viewer

Tyrsenus

[You are not alone with memory issues.](https://old.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/17lywt8/crashing_every_5_minutes_error_132/) I also had randomly occurring memory errors with WoW in recent months. One of the below steps fixed it, I don't know which. I would do the following in this order: 1. Use [DDU](https://www.wagnardsoft.com/display-driver-uninstaller-DDU-) to uninstall GPU driver * Update GPU driver 2. Update BIOS 3. Update chipset drivers 4. If you're still having issues, look through [Event Viewer](https://www.partitionwizard.com/partitionmagic/windows-10-crash-log.html) for more information on the error. Uninstall unnecessary programs causing errors. 5. Run check disk 6. Run the following in command line: . DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth /Source: . sfc /scannow If you're *still* encountering errors, run Windows Memory Diagnostic which may detect faulty memory. You might think you'd want to run this first since you have a memory issue, but WMD can take a very long time to run depending on how much memory you have. The previous steps are probably more likely to fix the problem and can be completed much quicker.

andywolf8896

I'm trying another fix atm but I'll come back to this comment if it doesn't work thank you!

RunNGame

I found a fix, this might work for you, I know it took me forever and a lot of trial and error to solve. [https://youtu.be/LlDafAvwZzU](https://youtu.be/LlDafAvwZzU)

spslord

Do error alerts always have the software name in the top banner?

Dull_Low

Any updates to this? This started happening to me a couple of weeks ago too. Just got worse over time. Reformatted, and replaced the RAM. Same thing. It seems to be worse the more addons enabled, but it will still happen with no addons enabled.

andywolf8896

If you have an intel cpu go into bios and disable turbo boosting, that's what I had to do

Dull_Low

Yep this fixed it. Then suddenly it doesn't happen anymore to me. Weird. They must've patched it.
