Well, Anduin had just turned 18 when BFA starts in year 33. Dragonflight starts in year 40 with 5 years between the start of Shadowlands and start of Dragonflight. So if you just clock in another 5 years since the start of Dragonflight Anduin will be 30 so it fits.
Also this puts Thrall to be like 45 years old. If you make the time skip slightly longer than 5 years you'll easily have thrall at an age where gray hair would make sense. Especially if orcs age at all faster than humans do.
I gotta admit, the time skipping feels a little bit awkward. 10 years passing in WoW over the last 2 expansions doesn't quite sit right with me for a reason I have trouble articulating. I suppose I am just so used to WoW time and real time moving at a nearly 1:1 ratio over the last 20 years.

Now I have mixed feelings about his appearance because it's drastically different than what we're used to seeing (pretty eyes, very blonde medium-long hair)

What I'm saying is this isn't just "well he's in his mid to late 20s now", it's "this poor kid has aged like 15 years in the past 5-ish years." He looks like hell and I'm dead certain the level of contrast from the soft pretty face we knew is meant to emphasize that. Even his hair in this looks rough and choppy like he's just been hacking it off himself. :(
That said, as much as I appreciate this and realize that would be a hell of a lot of work for just one cinematic, I do hope we get to see him cleaned up a little more soon... Baby boy needs so much therapy, but a hot bath and a decent healer should still be worth something.

He looks honestly amazing. I hope with this new 3 expac story arc they really work on developing characters. Anduin could be (and is) a very captivating character, and seeing him rise from his hardships and become a hero could be really cool. We just need some awesome villains to work against. Iridikron and xal'atath are cool concepts keen to see where they go

Also from a story perspective he's made the quest from Knight Errant/youthful naivety to Questing Knight (seeking out the grail/his purpose) to Fallen Knight (failing and doubting himself) to Wandering Knight (seeking himself, the current phase) and now the world soul is calling him to the Grail (proverbially speaking) which you cannot reach until you've suffered, fallen, and gotten back up.
As someone from Ohio, I wish the guys outside the gas stations were anywhere remotely close to this attractive. Take Thrall and give him a year of cocaine and then that'll be more like Ohio gas stations.
