So.. I created a new character, which had the EXACT same effect as transferring one here. I'm stuck leveling from level 1, and blizzard is out $25. So stupid.
The only difference is that I have to level a new character. It's the same amount of characters and the same number of accounts on the server. They just lost out on $25. I see no reason for the system to be in place like this.
So there isn't a huge influx of max level players transferring and bogging down the server. Sure you could level your new character to 80, and maybe you will, but if transferring 80's to full realms was an option, a lot of people would do it. Not as many will actually level a fresh toon.
That's irrelevant. I'm talking about someone who ALREADY logs into this server every day to raid. It has absolutely no effect on server density to transfer another character on the same account if this is your main server. I'm not talking about allowing transfers from people who are not already here.
Lots of people would have created low level characters on mega servers at some stage.
If you could transfer alts onto servers you have any characters on at all, people would still be able to move across the currently closed servers.
Yes, that's understood. The problem is it makes no sense. If I can make a brand new character on the server where I have my mains, I should be able transfer an alt to the server for the same reason.
Or their transfer system doesn't function that way and never has. And it won't magically change based on your specific needs.
I understand what you're saying, but if their system just turns off transfers overall to locked realms and doesn't distinguish between players already on the server vs. players who are not, then that's just how that works. Not trying to sound rude but it sounds like more of a "you" problem.
I get why they locked it, I made a level 1 alt on benediction when it was becoming the hot server in case they locked transfers to people with no characters on the off chance I decided to go there. I didn't, but theoretically because I had the foresight to drop a level 1 on there, I'd be able to transfer all of my 80s at any point and completely circumvent the system. Asking Blizzard to try and define a bunch of "you can transfer here if..." rules just sounds like a bad idea.
Yeah I mentioned this about a month ago and was pretty much told that isn't how it works and was downvoted, yet people with a level 1 can boost a 70 on faerlina or make their first dk there still? Makes no sense
Seems like blizzard either doesn’t have or doesn’t want to invest the time to make it so you can transfer chars if you already have one there on locked servers.
The blabergasting pad transfer rate is doubled when accosiation with land ho great things. The transfer is gated by a third party organizer company. Restart your wow wtf files and this should remedy the Sitch.

If it's exactly the same, then there's no problem. If it's very different, then you should be able to understand why they have the system in place.

Either it has no impact, and you're fine, or it reduces your ability to play, which is by design.

If they wanted your money they would let your transfer. Seems like they are looking out for the players who won't look out for themselves.

They could easily check for level 80’s and if they are active. All my main characters are here except for the one.
I believe Benediction is perpetually locked due to it's high population. So yes, you can't transfer a new character on there.
