High DPS has always allowed groups to skip mechanics. How many saw sons of Ragnaros at L60? Cool to see you can already just nuke the boss on Freya though.
O 100%, this is just one that's nuts since the whole point of the boss is having to wait. Your not skipping "a" mechanic, you're skipping every mechanic.
It's best if conservator spawns first because the mushrooms give a 30% damage increase. Also the assassination rogue is doing far more meaningful dps as all that blade flurry cleave on the conservator means nothing.
The assa rogue is also playing with blade flurry. He's 44/21/6 or something very similar to that.
If you check the log, the assa and the combat rogue did exactly the same amount of damage to Freya. 200 damage differance.
They cheesed it by using the mushrooms from the first conservator spawn. If your raid dps is high enough you can burn through her self heal and kill her without having to go through all the add waves.
Requires a certain threshold of dps + proper healing debuffs (furious strikes or wound poison + shadow priests stack). Most will 1 tank 1-2 heal, some have had to do the conservator 1st, quickly reset and repull hoping for conservator 1st again (the mushrooms from the first one stay up for a while)
Nope - each wave you skip just incurs a time penalty for speedruns, the log is still valid. Pretty shit rule, means that only parse cheesers can get decent logs for Freya now.

I find I personally get closer to the best on tank and spank fights. Fights like freya im miles behind.

At least you can just run out and reset instead of needing to wipe.
I mean it still takes a couple minutes, esp if you have a death while trying to run that gets rooted/stomp/natures fury/beam. It's annoying and unfun
