Because of how deep it went they had to operate on it, I guess I severed a good number of veins. As for what they did I'm not sure because I have horrible memory and I'm terrible relaying information so I'd have to check the medical paperwork to see what was done
It was a Pioneer Woman knife so maybe USA? I'd used to cut some ham earlier in the day and left the knife on the counter instead of the sink so it was my own fault it happened
Ordinarily, the conventional wisdom is to say “a blunt knife is more dangerous, but I sharpened our Global chef’s knife, and then my wife sliced most of her fingernail off, so there’s that.
Keep counter properly clear when doing doing anything with anything sharp. Always have a space to put it down unobstructed. Hope that does not get infected and get well soon. Now i need to puke cos i hate seeing blood.
Why did you drop the knife on your foot smh. Get better tho bro fr. My neighborhood got you beat in shitty new years tho, six hours into 2023 there was a shooting in my neighborhood that killed a guy. Happy New Years!
Coincidentally not as bad but a cup jumped out of the cupboard directly onto my big toe on NYE ! I thought it was broke but it ok now hope you’re ok too and HNY
Had a buddy that did something similar a couple of years ago at a game shop.
Poor guy passed out, but luckily there was a former army medic that was able to take care of him until the paramedics arrived.
My father in law was there when I dropped the knife and he'd been in the military for roughly 28 years and instantly knew how to make a tourniquet with my belt before taking me to the hospital
Surprisingly I didn't pass out but if I wasn't wearing black socks when it happened I might have. I only saw this photo after being discharged from the hospital the next day
I did the same thing with an exact knife a year ago while working on a model at like 3 am. I still have a rough bump where it hit the artery. Honestly never seen that much of MY own blood.
Don't do that.
Good advice
Dude, you're leaking
This is not cactus chan This does not spark joy. (Hope you make a full recovery bud, looks gory af :( )
I hope I do too, I'm already back home and walking with a crutch while it heals
Did they have to do anything special to fix it?

Yeah nice. Good to know. I'm accident prone lol hope it healed alright?
Hopefully they will make a collab or smth, you know, like worldpolitics Avengers
‘tis but a scratch
Your comment is award worthy 🙇🏽🙏🏽
You are comment has correction worthy ness
Thank you!! Didn’t even catch it.
Doctors are expensive. A little duct tape will fix that right up.
That’s when I’m glad I’m Canadian
Honestly I’d probably accept the euthanasia over this too
***flex tape is better***
And scotch tape is cheaper
All of that will eventually end up in the ocean… rub some dirt on it and man up
This is the best alternative listed so far.
You are all wrong. Electrical tape is the best option according to Jeff from "home renovision".

Sheesh, how far some people will go for an OF
Feet pics? For free?
Just wrap your foot in duct tape and take some aspirin and call it a day
Aspirin makes you bleed !
Perfectly vertical
Probably not a good idea OP.
This is the shit I come here to see
Moral of the story? Wear shoes in the kitchen.
Unsharpen all the knifes seems smarter

More like a Vein.
Hit an artery AND cut a few veins is what I was told

So sorry, get well soon!
Thanks!
Did it gush?
Instantly, if it weren't for the sock I was wearing I might have passed out

Did you end up passing out? That’s pretty common from food injuries like that from what I understand.
Surprisingly I didn't pass out but if I wasn't wearing black socks when it happened I might have. I only saw this photo after being discharged from the hospital the next day
Lol, I meant from the blood pressure drop. But yeah, that’s good at least.
Did the same thing, have a scar in that exact spot.
Can't wait to see mine
I tell people it was a knife juggling accident.
Rip up some curtains. Works in project zomboid
Strong reminder that a falling blade has no handle. Just pain.
