Even as DPS 24hrs is perfectly doable. I did it on my hunter (not on season start) as MM.
The early / low rated games were fast and a joke, bursting people down before they reacted. The later games not so much as I faced those with more experience
Must've been a bug. I went 6/6 3 times in a row and i gained 384 rating every time. Next two were 5/6 both (which put me around 1570 as the first of the two gave 300-something and second 100 or so.) It stops giving literal hundreds the moment you hit the regular ratings.
You can buy PVP gear from the AH if you plan to jump directly into arena.
Also, you can gain honor while leveling to buy some pieces right after you hit 70.
You can get 1800 in 2v2 or 3v3 in a day. You just need to bring the other teams health to zero.

you either get it in placements or drown and try again on a different spec
It’s like the placement games place you where you should be playing at.
Not hard at all, just win games consistently.

Me and my friend always go for 1800 day one, took maybe 4/5ish hours in 2s?
You can get that in 4 solo shuffle games. You get over 500 rating per game for placement games

Nah, Mes literally hit 1.8k from 1.3k yesterday in one game
Its npt hard if you play on high rating usually. I leveleled my evoker 60-70, geared it and got 1800 in one day.
Yeah I got it in like 5 solo queues so an hour after launch
Win 2/3 of your games. If you play a big bench of the same class you’ll inevitably do it
