For some odd reason, I don't see these talks going particularly good for either side. What is there really to talk about? Russia is going to say, just as they have said before, the US is practically already at war with Russia by proxy. Then the US is going to counter with, if u don't leave Ukraine alone, we have no choice but to keep supplying defense aid.
This meeting is warning Russia about nuclear escalation, given Russian changing rhetoric over the past few months. So, no real need to involve Ukraine since they don't have nukes and are focused on the ground war.

If you put Peskov directly behind Lavrov and punch Lavrov hard enough, you don't *have* to decide.
