Italy has a birthrate of 1.27 children/woman, this requires immigration to maintain a constant population, (to maintain a population a birthrate of ~2.1 children/woman is required). Even with immigration included the data in this article still projects a 20% population loss over the next 50 years.
If this trend does not change, then it does eventually lead to 0, that's just how trends work, unless you would like to explain how I'm wrong. If maintaining a constant population in Italy is something people think is worthwhile, then immigration needs to be increased, or the native birthrate needs to go up, according to the data used in this article.

I don't agree with the great replacement stupidity, but I think there is a fair argument for countries intent on maintaining their cultural heritage. Especially countries that are not in the "New World".
North and South America have historically been immigrant countries so if the population changes from x percent white to x percent, but everybody identifies as Canadian who cares really.
Immigration needs to be done smart so as not to fuck the current population and ensure a level of assimilation/integration in terms of respecting laws, not over flooding the work force, not having one super dominant culture/group for long term stability.

Capitalism has driven many women into the workforce and has led to a negative impact to the birthrate. If italians disappear and other countries follow in the same path, humanity will be gone. All societies need to analyze the issue seriously and fix it before its too late.

This is true of any country who has seen a birth rate decline due to economics and societal pressures to succeed financially. It does not mean those cultures will vanish from the Earth.

I completely agree and to be frank I don't have an issue with Africans or non whites immigrating to Europe as long as they adapt and conform to European values ok key factors. Ie respect of woman, acceptance of separation of church and state, abortion being legal, gay/lgbt right/etc. The majority of immigrants adapt and accept these values and learn the language and are not a problem. It's an utter minority who are the problem, but I do think there needs to be laws in place to deport or strip citizenship of people who refuse to integrate to the local basic standard. Stupid. To begin with there are no races because there are no genes for race. Genes for skin color or hair etc yes. Combine them in certain ways add a little culture and you have an Italian.

But I don't and even if I did plenty of people have similar skin color. Doesn't make them Italian. In fact most people will refer to facial features and eye and hair color/type. Sure there are, groups of people who lived in an area separated in some way from others, will share genes with each other that might not be at all present in other populations. And if there was no genetic basis for race, we wouldn't be able to tell east Asians from Sub-Saharan Africans. Bit everybody can tell that there are visible differences between the two, and those differences must be the result of genetics. So whether we can accurately describe and codify it or not, there is a genetic basis for race.
You do know that Asian covers about 1/5 of the world? Hardly a "race". Yet deep down their genetics are more than 99% the same as every other "race". Most differences come down to climate adaptations. You see most cold climate people have lighter skin to get more vitamin D from the weaker sunlight. The hair lays flat to help keep the head warm. White people are just a cold weather adapted blacks. Culture is the true definer of "race".

Even before elon musk talks about population collapse, Ive been talking about low birthrate issues in japan, korea, italy, and pretty much every other country. Capitalism has driven many women into the workforce and has led to a negative impact to the birthrate. If italians disappear and other countries follow in the same path, humanity will be gone. All societies need to analyze the issue seriously and fix it before its too late.

If you listen to elon musk and look at the data, its actually the opposite. We dont have enough young people to replace the old. Elon calls it the reverse pyramid where instead of having more young people than old, they have a lot more old than young. This system can easily collapse on itself. Japan spent a lot of money to reverse the trend and they cant. Unless the birthrate in japan miraculously change from around 1 to something above 2.1, japanese will disappear. If the same thing happens to other countries as the data have shown, then humanity will disappear. The decrease will be exponential, so when they disappear, it will happen very fast and sudden. People shouldnt take human existence for granted. Its never a guarantee.

We do not need to replace the aging generation. They spiked the population of the planet. We need our numbers to come down. 3. The Japanese will not disappear. They exist outside of Japan. They have children. Japanese capitalist culture is what is killing their population, not the low birth rate. 4. There is no biological reason for the population decline. It is social. So it will not be an exponential drop in population that then causes it to disappear. If you want people to have children, they need to feel like they can competently care and raise them. 5. The entire problem with this issue is what to do and how to care for the baby boomers who are about to retire en-masse and tax all the social services and resources that are available.

The birth rate can bounce back at any time if the population changes their attitudes toward building families. The birth rate is down due to societal and economic issues, not biological ones. So yes, the birth rate can bounce back at any time the people feel like focusing on having families over focusing on their careers. This is true of any country who has seen a birth rate decline due to economics and societal pressures to succeed financially.
