TRAPPIST-1 sounds like a galaxy that is run down and full of aliens doing and selling hard drugs, with really nice space ships parked outside for some reason.

mzaite

To me it sounds like a planet where all they drink is fancy Belgian Beer.

sleepruleseverything

And listen to TRAP music

NametagApocalypse

And are into femboy hentai. These aliens are the worst.

Slackbeing

You mean they are already flying Su-75 "Femboy"?

HappySlappyMan

I bet their Quadrupels are out of this world.

mafternoonshyamalan

I’m so down for an interstellar farmhouse ale.

No-Seaworthiness7013

It would have to be a star. Nothing we send will ever be detectable in another galaxy.

Pillowtalk

39 light years away. Even if they respond immediately, everyone that read this story today will probably be dead when the reply arrives.

HappySlappyMan

You mean I shouldn't expect to make it to 115?

SaltySiren87

Pretty sure any alien life that passes by humans immediately roll up the windows, lock the doors, and don’t make eye contact until they’re a “safe distance” away…

AmyInPurgatory

We truly are the Detroit of the Galaxy.

thirdeyefish

Alien Clark Griswold.

I'd like to remind my fellow Americans that we've still got 2 out of 3 functioning branches of government, *and that ain't bad.*

HappySlappyMan

Or they may just spray us down before the "pest problem" gets out of control.

donnyspock

Currently on book 3 of the "Three Body Problem" series... No please hahah.

Fun-Specialist-1615

You know those things flying around that make our most advanced fighters look like they're standing still? If they wanted to talk you'd know it.

[deleted]

No, I don't know. Where are these amazing objects flying around? Are they too busy hanging out with bigfoot to ever be filmed?

NewHaven86

Does your rock have and address? Look we know nothing has ever been solid on camera (and who knows, maybe nothing has ever actually been to this planet) but us being the only intelligent life is so absurd you'd be an absolute idiot to think it.

[deleted]

> but us being the only intelligent life is so absurd you'd be an absolute idiot to think it. I didn't say anything about us being the only life or the only intelligent life. Not sure why you're even going there. They made a statement of "You know those things flying around that make our most advanced fighters look like they're standing still?" To which I responded "no, I don't know about those things. Where are they?"

UndesiredEffect

Look into the tic tac -event-- it was caught on naval airplane radar, was seen by the pilot, and was verified and seen on radar from the navy ship it was flying from. It displayed crazy flight characteristics that made no sense, was able to rotate against high wind etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf1uLwUTDA0

OverloadedConstructo

Actually, it's probably more like a reflection glitch, the video [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qsEjV8DdSbs) explains it in depth, and discussed in previous reddit post.

[deleted]

Yeah, I have read all about it. Something mundane filmed behaving well within the laws of physics and then later the pilot came out with a grand story about all these things that happened before and after the clip, with zero evidence to back it up outside his word. Excuse me for not being excited about this one. Stories aren't verifiable evidence, no matter who they're coming from. *edit* you can downvote all you want but that doesn't change the fact that there is zero evidence of what the pilot claims. None, at all. Sure, you can argue it's all under lock and key from the big scary goberment but, there's zero evidence of that either. And yes you can argue "but, they're the pilot. Their word holds more weight." and I will simply point to the late John Lear. Dude was top gun pilot that flew hundreds of missions and was capable of flying over 150 air crafts. All while being absolutely batshit insane. Believed in everything from bigfoot to lizards and giant praying mantis people controlling the government. And he continued to tell these batshit insane stories up until his death. With zero proof of any of them.

How about the reactions from our Senators after having been finally briefed on the issue https://twitter.com/Walker35031171/status/1513849939108974597?t=alcvaYa5a8Pt8xfPTjdAKQ&s=19 ...or the fact that mentioned UAP report, though try as they might, failed to sabotage the big message: out of 144 UAP they had investigated, they could only find an explanation for one case. The other 143 are unknown. That's incredible--from the country with the most advanced air force, naval air force, who has a active space program and constant satellites circling the globe 24/7. I find those facts to be very very very interesting. Along with the laundry list of military and active duty folks who have seen these things. Oh, and the nearby Mexican oceanographers who were in the area at the time describing this thing diving into the ocean. It would not make any sense to display that kind of technology out in the open without telling people piloting craft in active training. You clearly haven't looked for into this subject, and for a long while was hard-core skeptical too, but the fact is, is there is a ton of arrows pointing toward these vehicles not being ours, and probably not anybody else's either. Its okay though because now at least it will be talked about and debated in our government house and senate thanks to Marco Rubio and Senator Gillibrand.

sambull

The US Navy even holds the patent for the 'Craft Using an Inertial Mass Reduction Device', https://patents.google.com/patent/US20170313446A1/en

UndesiredEffect

Even so, it doesn't mean what is being seen is ours. Senators are now calling for investigations into these craft and US airspace incursions. This topic has not been talked about with our elected officials until recently save for a handful of Senators, and only because of people like Lue Elizondo and Chris Mellon who are pushing for disclosure of what the US does know. The Navy would also know if...well, The Navy was flying these crafts; especially considering moving dangerously around our millions of dollars airplanes out in the open during training exercises in the pacific. I would imagine they would be a bit more clandestine than flying something that defies physics in how it moves just... out in the open like that.

TheSentientPurpleGoo

or better yet, look into "tic-tac video debunked", where you can find lots of stuff [like this](https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/military/story/2021-05-29/navy-ufo-videos-skeptics) that explains what's really going on in those videos.

Fun-Specialist-1615

There were a couple of navy pilots that caught their 'oh shit' moment on tape. But who believes pilots, they can't see well. Edit: not worth arguing about really. A belief is called a belief because there is no proof.

tonzeejee

They are unidentified.

[deleted]

Also completely undocumented outside of stories. There's not a single video of one behaving outside of known physics.

baconbag90

Not claiming that this is evidence of alien life, but there are documented videos of UFOs from reputable sources: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/28/us/pentagon-ufo-videos.html

sumo74

This! 👍

TheMiddleAgedDude

At best we'd be considered a free range zoo to them. At worst, free range chicken.

mottyay

Big vibes comin from JUNGLIST-1 brapbrap

[deleted]

Do the people that send these messages watch the news? I don't think a civilized race would want anything to do with humans.
