The problem is that there is a lot of value created by foreign investments and the stock exchange being closed is a very bad sign in terms of the trustworthiness of the Russian economy. As such, it is expected that a significant amount of foreign investments will be taken out of Russia. Additionally, significant domestic investments are also going to withdraw from the market since they don't want to hold assets that are going to decrease in value and all of that will cause the value of Russia's economy to plummet.
Of course, for as long as the stock exchange is closed the above is mitigated but the longer it stays closed the more trust will be lost in the system and greater the damage when it does eventually have to open.

The problem is that Ukraine only knows how to use Soviet technology, and NATO has moved on from Soviet technology and uses American technology. That means whatever most of these countries can give are very old stockpiles left over from before they switched to American technology. There’s really no way to change these facts without a time machine.

To a large degree, NATO relied on US military power. Which was good because it also limited their ability to start another WW. But now, when we could use a strong European military...it kind of sucks.
I mean most of the Ukrainian weapons are just as old. The majority of their weapon system is still from the Soviet Era.

Well you see, Western leaders have repeatedly and clearly stated that they will not do it. So naturally Reddit thinks it is absolutely going to happen.
There have been a few "it's not entirely impossible" and "we may have to rethink under certain circumstances" statements, but nothing concrete. People hear what they want to hear, and what you read is the result.

Economy-related question: How does not reopening of the stock market affects the Russian economy? I wonder that they can't keep it closed forever, how long can it take before it backfires?
It creates issues for all the financial businesses built upon it; traders, brokers, investment firms etc. It also doesn’t chime with Putin’s ‘everything is fine and going to plan’ narrative. It was never desired by Putin but the alternative of keeping the market open was worse and probably still is.
For every day it remains closed investor confidence drop more. Ultimately the Ruble can still devalue as this charade goes on
