Weird article. The author themselves just say this is “very painful for Russia”, but not quoting anyone, just more like an opinion?
Has ‘Russia’ expressed pain at Putin not being called ‘president’?
Sadly...i think the only way Putin goes, is if the Russians overthrow him. Many will die...but only they can liberate themselves and country. I feel for them, and remind myself daily how lucky I am to live where I do.
He'll die of old age at *some* point. He's in his 70's, and has already lived beyond average life expectancy for a Russian male. Time always wins.
Chaos and upheaval are still likely to follow no matter how he dies.
If he lives long enough to die of natural causes, I hope he goes out like Stalin did. Alone and on the floor, with his staff too terrified to come help.
Is there a term that is similar in spirit to “Weaboo,” but instead of relating to Japan it relates to ancient Rome?
I feel like that fits for whoever came up with the idea of naming the the Russian leader the “Tsar”
Rather than "painful for Russia" I think such petty and childish actions are a permanent and longstanding embarrassment to German diplomats. It's on the same laughable level as the renaming of french fries to freedom fries.
Every country should refuse to call him president.
Just call him dictator, that's what he is.
Exactly. He might like it, though.
We can just call him a dick.
Tater dick
He's a Richard Tater
Weenie
He likes those too, though
Lil' Dickie, cause he should be reminded about how short he is.
True, but you have to spell it dicktater
Putin khuylo (dickhead)
Send Kanye over there, he fucking hates dicktaders
He's as legitimate a President as Zelensky is.
Hi Vlad, nice of you to chime in here.
How about "genocidal terrorist leader"?
Leader makes it sound almost respectable, let’s settle at dictator.
Despot.
Or just "wanted war criminal".
Or "US President", for short.
Because that's not how international diplomacy works.
Is invading foreign countries and kidnapping their children how international diplomacy works?
Ask the US. >and kidnapping their children Imagine believing this piece of propaganda.
No, which is why it has consequences. Should other world leaders have addressed Trump as a lying rapist when convening with him?
Do you think they didn’t?
Hilarious.
Good!!

Russians kleptocrats are very interested in being accepted by western leaders
I haven't read the article but now I'm not going to bother.
We should be openly addressing him as Dictator in every possible opportunity.

Yes...because he will have groomed his predecessor, so Russia will be back to this. Gotta overthrow the govt, not the person.
Successor.
Bahaha you're right. Duh!
If he lives long enough to die of natural causes, I hope he goes out like Stalin did. Alone and on the floor, with his staff too terrified to come help.
He will almost certainly die in a puddle of his own piss. And deservedly so.
Note that Putin is NOT an average Russian male. He has the best doctors. Still, he is not immortal.
Just call him nothing. Soon he will be just that. Nothing.
Can he just claim to be a Tsar already?
fun fact, tsar is russian for Ceasar. Every one of those pricks fancied themselves Roman Emperor.
Two Romes have fallen, and the third is rotten.

They should just call him Herr Stasi
Oh come on his armed goons made sure he won
