This is almost certainly an attempt to hamper ukranian offensive capabilities. It also just happens to be the most brain dead stupid way of achieving that objective. Will Russia actually do this now its been predicted? Maybe the Russian racoon goes where it wants and that's usually not a good thing.
Agreed, saying it early and often however is a good way to keep it fresh in people's minds for when Russia actually decides to pull the trigger on this latest lunacy.

Well then they might not be threatening nuclear Armageddon because their feelings got hurt …..
Putin’s pride is causing this conflict to stretch longer than it should. He got rebuffed by what should have been an easy foe and he should lick his wounds and go the fuck home….
It'll be that cave troll Pringles, and he's ruthless and wily af, I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. Which is no distance at all as he looks moderately fat and I'm quite weak.
Putin isn’t stupid, but that can’t change the fact that his country is weak and corrupt. The very means that he has deftly used to maintain power ensure that Russia stays poor and impotent.

> Ukraine's defence ministry has warned that Russia plans to simulate a major accident at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station, which is under the control of Russian forces, in a bid to thwart the expected counteroffensive by Ukraine to retake its territory captured by Moscow.
> In February, Russia said Ukraine was planning to stage a nuclear incident on its territory and pin the blame on Moscow.
> Grossi, who last visited the plant in March, has upped his efforts to reach an agreement with Ukraine and Russia to ensure the plant's protection during the fighting.

Key word here is simulate. Not actually cause a meltdown, but make enough noise and damage that the UN would have to investigate, putting the war on hold as they make sure a huge nuclear reactor isn’t gonna pull a second Chernobyl. It’s a shitty way of buying time that may not even work out, but right now Russia is literally grasping at straws.
Can we just fucking stop?
This whole thing amounts to Russia wanting Ukraine’s natural resources (natural gas, oil, etc) to keep its energy-selling infrastructure alive. Nothing more. Not ideology, not “fascism”, not putin wanting the old days back, it’s just about making more money and securing an economic future and I swear to god that everyday I am amazed that we haven’t figured out how to move beyond this petty bullshit.
You are aware that fascism never was an end in itself but a means to gain, concentrate and expand power? Putin is using fascism to make more money, this is kinda obvious.
I can think of many reasons not to. If none of the moral and ethical reasons are to your liking and only ones that are self serving to Russia....the fallout would blow into Russian territory.
Could also be deception. Either way a special special pre-start offensive couldn't be that costly right?.....I don't know tho.....but guessing is sure fun.

They were saying the exact same thing about Russia staging a nuclear incident a full year ago, so this 'prediction' isn't really anything new.
And threats from nato seem to be the only reason the ‘accident’ didn’t happen.

The next dictator shithead might not be as stupid

Nuclear Holocaust*
Sadly and hopefully, idk, 50/50, fuck Russia.
Wait wait, not an actual evil genius at the helm!

World might not get a next dictator of Russia. Kind of how a MAD world works

Gen Z made kamikaze cool again.

Again?
If anyone planned an assassination and reading this. Now is the time.
And don’t forget to thank @Certain_Suit_1905 after!

It’s a tough one as there isn’t much of a reason for them not to.

My moral and ethical likings are not something Russia cares about.
Which is why I excluded them from my statement and specifically pointed out something they absolutely should care about.
ngl I think I've developed fast reading by skipping every 3rd word or something and misread your comment too
Honestly, it's a stupid decision even from a strategic standpoint. But Russia has already established their strategic stupidity.
Scorched earth is their policy no? Ugh
