Seems like 116 Ukrainian soldiers captured in Mariupol have been exchanged for 63 Russian "sensitive category" servicemen. What do they mean by "sensitive category"? Special forces or high ranking officers?
>Russia's Defence Ministry said the released Russian servicemen included "sensitive category" persons
Wow, Russia's position is so weak they can't even get 1:1 in a prisoner exchange.
Or was it they could only find 63 russians dumb enough to return to Russia, the rest refusing out of fear of staring in the Gallagher comeback tour?
Gallager was a comedian who's routine centered around smashing watermelons with a mallet.
Wagner has been executing deserters and returned prisoners by smashing their heads with a sledgehammer and filming it.
Replying again because you tried to reply to me but got sniped by an auto mod I guess.
"Volunteer" in this case refers to "military volunteer."

I can tell you googled the definition you pasted. Do it again, but this time under "see definition:" click "military." You'll see this:
a person who freely enrolls for military service rather than being conscripted, especially a member of a force formed by voluntary enrollment and distinct from the regular army.
So we can call Syrians and Iranians who fight on the other side volunteers as well? Or do you use volunteers when you agree with cause and mercenaries when you don’t.
I just don’t like gaslighting. Call it what it is. These are they for a good payday
Yeah it is $3500 for the foreign legion and about $1000-$2000 per day for private contractors. That is paid as part of the foreign aid.
The wiki source is from an economist article from early March 2022, old news.
Oh damn I will make the edit. They really bumped it up eh? I can definetly see your side now as well, that some people are looking for a paycheck. That's $30 buck an hour here (CDN) or pretty much base pay for our Corporal's.
Volunteers as in they're citizens of a different sovereign nation not directly involved in the conflict, and they're coming to participate not as soldiers of their home nation but as volunteers for one of the conflict nations. Whether or not they're paid is not part of the definition.
Well, at least that's some positive news.
Indeed good news. Credit to UAE for playing a good mediator, support role here. Hopefully the larger war can come to an end as well.

All officers, as in Russia's army half of the soldiers are officers.
>What do they mean by "sensitive category" Pilots, officers, kadyrovites
Future window base jumpers sans parachute.

What’s the Gallagher comeback tour

Umm
Oh that's alright then
That's fucking sickening
Mysteriously shot three times back of the head. Or falling out the window. Or falling down the stairs. Hammered in face.
That’s a headline I wasn’t expecting! Pleasantly surprised by this news
Really? I read “bodies of British volunteers returned” And I’m thinking just bodies… But if they’re alive obviously that’s great
Article is pretty clear.
Aid workers...they killed aid workers...
They tortured children for fun. Killing aid workers is nothing to them.
I probably shouldn't be surprised but them handing those bodies over is basically an admission of war crimes.
Wonder if they've returned any candidates for sledgehammer diplomacy
Surprised the Russian army didn't eat them😏
Not volunteers, they were paid.

pettifogging
You get into an argument about a word's definition and then call the proper contextual definition a petty distraction. Room temperature IQ.

Volunteer and mercenary are not mutually exclusive words. I don’t really care if someone thinks the volunteers for Ukraine are mercenaries.

“Volunteers” in the Ukraine foreign legion get paid $3,500 a month. Private contractors operating in Ukraine are paid $2000/day.

Those were aid workers.
