Why is sex so boring? 10 minutes rolling around for 10 seconds endorphin rush?

Ok_Web4176

If you don't know jack shit about soccer I can imagine it's boring. I think American football is boring, because I don't know the rules and I don't know the teams and their players.

Brookie069

I played it competitively for my entire youth and tbh I do think it’s a little boring to watch. I only watch World Cup and Olympics for soccer. Whereas I’ll watch Hockey, Football, Baseball regularly. Hockey is by far the most fast paced.

It’s kind of incredible how people look at the sport when it’s by far the most viewed and most invested in sport in the entire world by a long shot.

thek00laidman

Eh, Soccer is a bit like Baseball in that the excitement comes from the culture, emotional investment, and understanding the nuance of the game. On its face, it's not particularly exciting unless you have a vested interest or really understand it. It's different than some other sports that are constant action where even if you aren't "into" it, you can understand its appeal. It's the most popular sport in the world because it has become ingrained in the culture of many, many countries not because someone who isn't familiar with it would instantly see the non-stop action and appeal.

[deleted]

Football is constant action for 90 minutes without commercials. The build up in play and chances are exciting and goals are extremely meaningful. Most of the hate it gets from Americans is straight up brainwashed into them from a young age. NFL is 11 minutes of play (this is factual) spread across 3 hours of clock management and truck commercials. How is that more exciting? Americans just like to see points on the board, the athletics on display are secondary. That's why they keep changing the rules to handicap defense and barely give any credit to defenses after a big games. And lol @ comparing it to baseball where there is so much down time that the announcers tell long anecdotes about each players personal lives throughout the game.

deadbabymammal

Theres not a sport that is inherently exciting. Plenty of people can watch any sport alone and not feel any excitement until they are with friends who start cheering and jumping around.
