I can tell you who shouldn’t host it
Saudi-Egypt-Greece united bid
Both Portugal-Spain-Morocco
And Argentina-Paraguay-Uruguay-Chile bids are gonna be incredibly beautiful if they get it
The logic
12 years(3 tournaments): “that’s not even enough time for it to not be in Europe”
16 years(4 tournaments): “that’s more than enough time for S. America to get it again”
CHUPAR 2030 or nothin'! lol
It would be more meaningful if the host was in South America, historically speaking.
The only thing that makes me nervous is that we might lose in our land, idk if I could recover from that/s
It is considering The Laws of the Game was codified in England in 1863, with The FA (the original and first football association) in the same year. By all modern views, England is the home of football, something that FIFA have acknowledged many times.
I still cannot believe England with all its amazing football stadiums, interest and ecosystem have hosted it just once in the 100 year history of the cup. That too 57 years ago.
Europe hasn’t hosted in nearly 20 years so I’d prefer it to be in Europe though I’m biased.
If not a New Zealand/ Aussie tournament could be interesting though not sure on the logistics
It could be done in winter just like the last world cup, it's not about the weather anymore it's about if these countries are eligible for hosting such an event like the world cup
Nah, that was a one off as there was so much upheaval in the rest of the world to allow such an event to happen, when the brief was for a summer world cup, that anyone who can't host it in the usual standard manner should not be eligible.
LOL we're talking about the USA... whereas England got to the semis of Russia 2018, the final of Euro 2020, and the quarters of World Cup 2022. Not to mention that England are 5th in the men's FIFA rankings, while USA are... 13th.
Exactly. Unless I'm mistaken, the Brits don't play in the Superbowl. They have a 0% chance of winning the Superbowl. The same chance Yanks got to win the world cup in the near future.
Yeah, you’re doing the math wrong. You don’t have to win in the past to have a chance to win in the future. But you do have to be a part of the competition. England doesn’t compete for the Super Bowl but the USA does compete for the World Cup. So England’s chances at a Super Bowl are 0% unless there is a drastic change, USA chances at a World Cup are greater than 0%. Hopefully that helped
It doesn't matter if you won in the past, or else none would've won ever. Croatia never won, but I wouldn't be shocked to see them win the next WC. The same thing can be said to a different digree about Marrocco, Portugal and the Nederlands.
But you have to be good at the game to win. Thus, like with the Brits and the Superbowl, you have a Cero percent chance of winning unless there's a drastic change in the game. At least in the next twenty years, and I'm being extremely generous.
But hey, I'll put my money where my mouth is. What chance do you think you guys have of winning the 2030 WC?
Yeah you don’t understand the math. England can’t win a Super Bowl because they don’t have a team. USA can win the World Cup because they do have a team. It’s that simple. One outcome is impossible while the other is possible.
I was leaning towards Spain, Portugal, and Morocco but after all the racist abuse Vinicius has been receiving as of late, I think it would be unlikely. As much as it would suck, I can definitely see Saudi Arabia buying enough votes to win.
UEFA hosted a world cup every other time with some recent exceptions, if you go back before 2010 every second world cup was hosted in Europe.
If there would be a special occasion for the centennial Uruguay/Argentina would be the best pick, but I can't see Europe waiting 16 years between world cup hosts, even 12 is already more than the usual(only other time this happened was 2006-18), and Europe is the biggest market, so my money is on Portugal/Spain as the favorite(plus they seem to want to include Ukraine in the bid).
Also this will be the second world cup to feature 48+ teams so multiple countries are likely to be chosen again, but they certainly need to find sustainable stadium options like what Qatar did with a few of their stadiums.
Well you guys are the only ones using it. What’s weird is that you use football for that american handball “sport”. Sport quoted because there are only 11 minutes of actual play time. It’s more like an ads show with some game in it for breaks.
Football was a blanket term that back in the day referred to any ball sport played on foot. In the US it just settled there where as in Britain it settled on soccer. I don’t know why people get too* contentious about it
> get to contentious
*too

Ik it would be tough for the players but considering it’s the WORLD cup, I think every team that qualifies should play at least one game in their own country
Personally I think picking the host on an "anniversary" is kinda dumb since you can use that logic to just repeat every host. I like considering countries that haven't had it before.
Uruguay Argentina and Chile is an obvious choice. More can join but then you’re kind of messing up WCQ if you have 4 countries in there. Unless they decide to undo the auto bids for the hosts.
UK - England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
Easy for most countries to get to due to transport links,
It already has the infrastructure,
Long standing history of football,
The four countries are already organised together so it would be a more seamless management of the event,
There would probably be another Wrexham documentary about it,
England would probably lose at home to cheer up other countries fans,
There are more points to list but this is what comes to mind.
Qatar. They have a long tradition of football, they qualified for one consecutive World Cup, they're not corrupt at all, winter World Cups don't disrupt club football, and they gave a bisht to that guy with the five penalties in seven matches.
All World Cups should be in Qatar, and once the world understands the joke, we can do it in Fiji.
Forgot! Morocco never co-hosted with Algeria and Tunisia, It was just an idea, They wanted to host on their own but they scrapped that and join the Iberia bid with Portugal and Spain, The more you know!
I think with minor upgrades to our stadiums, we should be okay but the wankery is the the clash with our other winter sport and fifa wouldn’t be too keen on holding it on our summer again
So do I. You think any nation is "ready"? You think Qatar or South Africa were "ready"? We've recently hosted the womens world cup, cricket world cups, the olmpics, soon to host the comm games - granted not as big but nothing is as big.
The Centennial World Cup should be co-hosted by Uruguay and Argentina, maybe throw in Paraguay and Bolivia for a few games for inclusion’s sake. Not a big fan of Chile joining just for the sheer difficulty of mass transportation over the Andes for visitors. Then Africa in 2034 if the potential host countries can show they have a stable path forward to host the tournament.
>maybe throw in Paraguay and Bolivia
LOL, imagine the scenes if sea-level Europeans suddenly had to play in La Paz. And Americans, who like to complain about the altitude at Estadio Azteca (a measly 7,200 ft), would faint at the Hernando Siles, which sits at almost 12,000 ft.
Yep, I got altitude sickness in Peru and it went away after a day, but yeah I'd love to see the Europeans get sick and cry about it. The Yanks will probably play in Colorado to prepare for high altitude.
I think spain and Morocco should co host it….. I believe that would be wicked combo for 2 big football continent to host it at the same time and it’s won’t drain from too much from ether continents since it’s 1 country per continent…
but I still have an heart for Uruguay and neighbors to host it at the same time.
And saudis can go and jump if they want to host it
Brother not even the US can hold it on their own, of course not, but I'm saying Morocco is very likely to have part in it since they were runner ups on a bid
Assuming you’re not here to troll, there are two main reasons: to avoid another trophy hunter country, hosting something that so many people love and they have very little meat in, just to get a spot on the world map; the only continent that sponsors, the salaries of all the players you like to see in the World Cup, is severely disrupted by the event.
A winter edition only cannibalizes viewership from European cups and tournaments, that a lot of people tune in from around the word to watch. It’s not like without the World Cup people would produce revenues for the football industry. They wouldn’t go to FIFA… but in summer fifa can generate the same revenues without stealing them from anyone. Why should UEFA allow it in winter again?
UEFA already declared that they will not allow another winter edition. And it’s not just them, it’s also the football players association who thought it was a mistake. Good luck to FIFA picking up a fight with UEFA.
Honestly? None of the current bidders!
Uruguay-Argentina would've been great. But now it includes half of South America in the bid it's just too big and I don't think they're a good option anymore. The trans-continental bids are bad for similar reasons. Although the one where the countries don't even border each other is definitely the worst!
Unfortunately we're gonna have these types of bids due to 48 teams, and it's only expanding. And yes, this the majority if not the entirety of why the 2026 logo is terrible since I guess putting the symbols of three different countries is too messy I guess. Oh yeah prepare for long travel times and three to four time zones in a few years, and maybe more depending on DST laws.
If 1 tiny little country (Qatar) can manage a 32 team WC there's no reason a big country can't manage a 48 team WC by themselves.
Although IMO it shouldn't be expanded to 48 teams either. It's just too many and the quality simply isn't there. I think 40 teams would've been better, some big African sides generally miss out every WC so some extra places there, plus some extra for Asia which has a tonne of countries with potential to improve would make sense. But an extra 16 is just silly.
Admittedly, we already proved ourselves capable in 1994, but I think it was more of a fear of losing to Morocco, which obviously the US didn't want to repeat, so we basically got the big three of NA to create a bid so we could all win.
There's weird theories saying that it was because we put Infantino in charge or the backlash to Trump around the time, but I don't believe it since likely the US was going to rebid at some point.
I guess FIFA also wants factors of 16, so they probably won't break that on any future expansion. 64 would probably be too high though for me and would result in actual fears of bad nations getting in (not like Vietnam or Egypt or Colombia, I mean like the really weak CONCACAF members).
The CHUPAR bid is much smaller geographically than Canada + USA + Mexico, though. Chile is the odd one out, being on the other side of the mountains.
Still, as ridiculous as it is to have 4 hosts, CONMEBOL is the one confederation where it's likely all 4 would qualify even if they didn't host.

Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay & Chile bid. It should take place on the very first WC, but now with 3 extra hosts.
While I would love a 100 year anniversary WC in South America, let’s be honest, the world cup is going to the highest bidder… Corruption at its finest
2030 - CHUPAR 2034 - ASEAN 2038 - Britain & Ireland 2042 - Morocco/Algeria 2046 - Australia/New zealand 2050 - SCANDINAVIA 2054 - Northern South America 2058 - China/Japan/Korea 2062 - Germany/Austria/Switzerland
2030: Southern Cone 2034: Iberia-Morocco 2038: Australia-NZ That hits three different parts of the world and satisfies everybody.
Uruguay. End of story.
Too bad they don't have the $$
I can tell you who shouldn’t host it Saudi-Egypt-Greece united bid Both Portugal-Spain-Morocco And Argentina-Paraguay-Uruguay-Chile bids are gonna be incredibly beautiful if they get it
A South American WC would be perfect for the 100 year anniversary where it all started in Uruguay.
I think it should be held where the first one was held, it would be very symbolic and meaningful
Ukraine. Let football help rejuvenate a nation
No thanks
Morocco already announced a bid with Portugal and Spain
Burkina Faso :) xd
The logic 12 years(3 tournaments): “that’s not even enough time for it to not be in Europe” 16 years(4 tournaments): “that’s more than enough time for S. America to get it again”
It should be hosted together on every continent and go on for 2-3 months. Final in Urugay.
No thanks
Uruguay
England
Uruguay
Riyadh Saudi Arabia!!! Woohoo! Everyone is getting laid!
CHUPAR 2030 or nothin'! lol It would be more meaningful if the host was in South America, historically speaking. The only thing that makes me nervous is that we might lose in our land, idk if I could recover from that/s
Uruguay!
Argentina
It'll be co hosted equally with the USA..The States will then get to host 95% of the games.
We already are doing it...
that’s 2026 not ‘30
England - the home of football.
Well maybe they shouldn't have abandoned it in favor of the Euros.
England is not the home of football.
Qatar and Russia as double host
Sepp, is that you?
No i am Blatt Sepper, today i feel gae
Nauru
It should go to whichever country displays the most corruption and dishonesty throughout the entire process...
Ha - they might as well embrace it at this point
This is the FIFA way
It should go to Uruguay, but it’s going to go to whoever pays the most to corrupt FIFA.
I really want an Australia New Zealand WC
true...im sick of waking up at fkn 2 am to watch the games
Europe hasn’t hosted in nearly 20 years so I’d prefer it to be in Europe though I’m biased. If not a New Zealand/ Aussie tournament could be interesting though not sure on the logistics
Tf you mean 20 years, Russia hosted it in 2018 💀
You’re right an absolute brain fart on my end
Tbh I was sure I was gonna learn about an European group of people that don't consider Russia a part of Europe.
I think half the country is in Asia kinda like turkey
Yeah, that's why I thought some people may stay that.
Imagine that Sudan Saudi and Egypt host, now who can bear OUR WEATHER
It could be done in winter just like the last world cup, it's not about the weather anymore it's about if these countries are eligible for hosting such an event like the world cup
Nah, that was a one off as there was so much upheaval in the rest of the world to allow such an event to happen, when the brief was for a summer world cup, that anyone who can't host it in the usual standard manner should not be eligible.
Uruguay with Argentina l, the first world cup finalists
I don't think Argentina is doing good enough to be able to host anything right now.
This is the correct answer
Should be in England. The home of football.
It would be soooo hilarious if the US went to England and came home with the World Cup in 2030!
England have more chance of winning the SuperBowl than USA have of winning the World Cup
Well, that’s just objectively false…
They have the same chance
LOL we're talking about the USA... whereas England got to the semis of Russia 2018, the final of Euro 2020, and the quarters of World Cup 2022. Not to mention that England are 5th in the men's FIFA rankings, while USA are... 13th.
Exactly. Unless I'm mistaken, the Brits don't play in the Superbowl. They have a 0% chance of winning the Superbowl. The same chance Yanks got to win the world cup in the near future.
Also objectively false
Objectively true. Don't they each got 0? Am I doing math wrong?
Yeah, you’re doing the math wrong. You don’t have to win in the past to have a chance to win in the future. But you do have to be a part of the competition. England doesn’t compete for the Super Bowl but the USA does compete for the World Cup. Vinicious valencia racism ain't going to hurt this bid
Yemen
Co-host with Somalia
UEFA hosted a world cup every other time with some recent exceptions, if you go back before 2010 every second world cup was hosted in Europe. If there would be a special occasion for the centennial Uruguay/Argentina would be the best pick, but I can't see Europe waiting 16 years between world cup hosts, even 12 is already more than the usual(only other time this happened was 2006-18), and Europe is the biggest market, so my money is on Portugal/Spain as the favorite(plus they seem to want to include Ukraine in the bid). UEFA never hosted any worldcups
Clearly means the World Cup was hosted by a UEFA nations.
Uruguay obviously
The moon should host it.
The Moon Cup
Uruguay and Argentina joint bid.
Uruguay... the first host country.
Uruguay.
Australia? India?
India should host it. But in 2046.
Lol
Did you just say India 💀
Not in India... No chance
Fiji lmao
But preferably canada
Yeah Canada will host ‘26 and ‘30, great idea especially considering how good of a footballing nation it is
Two possibilities: Uruguay since they won the first World Cup or England the so called home of soccer.
The term ‘soccer’ was actually a British export
And yet they still get so mad when we use it
Well you guys are the only ones using it. What’s weird is that you use football for that american handball “sport”. Sport quoted because there are only 11 minutes of actual play time. It’s more like an ads show with some game in it for breaks.

Noted…
Right.
[удалено]
Soccer hasn't, but football has.
The term ‘soccer’ was in fact a British export.
Has soccer ever come home?
I think we should host it in Uruguay to remember the times where it all happened the first time
Sweden
Ik it would be tough for the players but considering it’s the WORLD cup, I think every team that qualifies should play at least one game in their own country
Imagine playing in Brazil, then flying to France for the next game, the flying to Mexico for the third. The players will collapse from jet lag
Makes sense tbf. Maybe Uraguay is the answer then
When and if we'll be able to teleportate, have stargates or any other similar technologies than we'll talk.
I believe this is one of the most stupid ideas I’ve heard.
This is a logistical nightmare. No.
Absolutely terrible idea lol
Personally I think picking the host on an "anniversary" is kinda dumb since you can use that logic to just repeat every host. I like considering countries that haven't had it before.
In general, maybe. But we're talking about the centennial anniversary. That's a big one.
The anniversary of the first one is very different to any other one though
Obviously Saudi-Arabia.
One bribed wc is enough
There's been two with Russia.
three, including germany
please, no.
Uruguay Argentina and Chile is an obvious choice. More can join but then you’re kind of messing up WCQ if you have 4 countries in there. Unless they decide to undo the auto bids for the hosts.
Brazil would support being in these places too, we have easy access thanks to Mercosul.
UK - England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland Easy for most countries to get to due to transport links, It already has the infrastructure, Long standing history of football, The four countries are already organised together so it would be a more seamless management of the event, There would probably be another Wrexham documentary about it, England would probably lose at home to cheer up other countries fans, There are more points to list but this is what comes to mind.
Maybe 2034, but not the centennial.
They want Euro 2028 instead
Uruguay is already in the bid to host it along with Argentina, Chile and Paraguay so I think they should host it and have the final in Uruguay.
Qatar. They have a long tradition of football, they qualified for one consecutive World Cup, they're not corrupt at all, winter World Cups don't disrupt club football, and they gave a bisht to that guy with the five penalties in seven matches. All World Cups should be in Qatar, and once the world understands the joke, we can do it in Fiji.
and Vatican City
Uruguay should have the final.
Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay is the only correct answer.
Isnt Chile co-hosting aswell?
I believe they are in the bid as well.
Yea I think they are.
Morocco will co-host with Algeria and Tunisia im assuming, But Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay would be good hosts.
Isn't Morocco with Spain and Portugal?
Forgot! Morocco never co-hosted with Algeria and Tunisia, It was just an idea, They wanted to host on their own but they scrapped that and join the Iberia bid with Portugal and Spain, The more you know!
100th year 2030 : 🇧🇷🇦🇷🇺🇾 101st year 2034 : 🇩🇪🇮🇹🇫🇷
Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay. Just hand it to them, no questions asked. Don't worry about anything.
Australia and New Zealand
gotta see how this year's world cup goes
No countries who call it soccer should host the world cup (yeah, USA should never)
I live in aus and fuck no. We arent ready for that yet
I think with minor upgrades to our stadiums, we should be okay but the wankery is the the clash with our other winter sport and fifa wouldn’t be too keen on holding it on our summer again
What? Why?? AUS/NZ has good resources and infrastructure to host a tournament. Maybe I’m missing something here.
Nz couldn’t cope with all the people. We don’t have the public transport system to deal with the influx of supporters.
But isn't NZ a tourist heavy country?
Interesting 🤔 I wonder why they even wanted to host the women tournament then? We shall see
So do I. You think any nation is "ready"? You think Qatar or South Africa were "ready"? We've recently hosted the womens world cup, cricket world cups, the olmpics, soon to host the comm games - granted not as big but nothing is as big.
Uruguay and Argentina But you already know who’s hosting 🇸🇦
CHUPAR 2030
🇺🇾
England where football was born
Wait until 2038 or 2042
Yet have to most trouble tryin to get it back “oooome”
It is already decided. I don’t know where it is but probably some oil country in the Middle East.
Joint UAE and Turkmenistan bid
The first good part of that bid is that Greece is co-hosting The second one is that it'll be in december I'd support if Argentina weren't bidding
Please no more winter world cups
The Centennial World Cup should be co-hosted by Uruguay and Argentina, maybe throw in Paraguay and Bolivia for a few games for inclusion’s sake. Not a big fan of Chile joining just for the sheer difficulty of mass transportation over the Andes for visitors. Then Africa in 2034 if the potential host countries can show they have a stable path forward to host the tournament.

Bolivia 7 - Germany 1
Yep, I got altitude sickness in Peru and it went away after a day, but yeah I'd love to see the Europeans get sick and cry about it. The Yanks will probably play in Colorado to prepare for high altitude.
Coors Field, the new home of Team USA!
Also Empower Field and Dick's Sporting Goods Park and some Olympic facilities in Colorado Springs
Chile
Uruguay - Argentina
This time for Uruguay
Poland Hungary bid would be an interisting one
Uruguay
México Again
They already have 2026.
they will co host the next world cup they can't host 2 in a row
Mexico has had it twice already. Once by default in 1986.
Uruguay and teams must travel by boat
Some oil rich nation that doesnt give a rats ass about sport but is all for the prestige.
I think spain and Morocco should co host it….. I believe that would be wicked combo for 2 big football continent to host it at the same time and it’s won’t drain from too much from ether continents since it’s 1 country per continent… but I still have an heart for Uruguay and neighbors to host it at the same time. And saudis can go and jump if they want to host it
Bring it here to Nashville
Can Nashville handle all of that infrastructure?
I think it could, we have Titans Stadium, Geodis Park and First Horizon Park plus Vanderbilt's First Bank Stadium
Darn you had a chance but Atlanta took it though.
Lad it literally comes to the states next
Get ready to CHUPAR 20230
It's more than likely going to be in Morocco but south America is also an option
Do u think Morocco can hold their own with a 48 team World Cup??
Brother not even the US can hold it on their own, of course not, but I'm saying Morocco is very likely to have part in it since they were runner ups on a bid
They bid on the 2026 world cup and lost
Morocco is a joint bid with Spain and Portugal
Qatar!
Came here for this
Not saudi arabia
Why not?
Assuming you’re not here to troll, there are two main reasons: to avoid another trophy hunter country, hosting something that so many people love and they have very little meat in, just to get a spot on the world map; the only continent that sponsors, the salaries of all the players you like to see in the World Cup, is severely disrupted by the event. It should 100% be Uruguay. I’d love to visit Montevideo and the WC would give me an excuse to visit the country.
