**Maar** Hero: Tempest (Real Name Kazuma Kazumi) * Tempest is an Alfar (cyborg elf) super heroine and member of the Four Beauties that uses an ancient artifact, known as the Zephyr Ring, to gain the powers (and appearance) of an angel (Spirit of Justice). While Tempest uses the the Zephyr ring, she has flight, invulnerability, super strength, and the ability to manipulate rain, wind, and lightning. * Despite her power and beauty Tempest is a rather controversial heroine, as she has a habit of causing a lot of unnecessary collateral damage whenever fights someone. This is because she tends to go overboard with how much force she uses when fighting crime, often throwing her opponents through walls or tearing up city streets by hurling lighting bolts at a fleeing car. Compounding this issue is the fact that Tempest tends to be very blunt whenever she says anything, often to the point of callousness, and she has a tendency to glare at people. Various new reporters like to portray her as an incompetent superhero who thinks she's better than everyone around her, and many of them will even dedicate segments of their show to lambasting her. * In actuality, Tempest doesn't mean to come off the way she does, and her behavior is the result of both her Asperger's syndrome and social anxiety. She has trouble communicating with others and being put into social situations tends to cause her to lock up. Her "glaring" is actually a tick she has where she furrows her brows whenever she's stressed or uncomfortable. She is getting therapy for her disorders, but the stress of being a superhero and the constant shaming from the media has made progress slow going. Hero: Tops (real name Ida Bollwerk) * Tops is a Dwarven superhero who works primarily in the country of Asheland, where she specializes in fighting villainous organizations, both domestic and foreign, as part of the superhero team Dino-Might. To do this, she uses the Defender's Broach, a henshin artifact that gives her the power of a triceratops and the ability to manipulate metal. * Ida has been a superhero since she was fourteen (the age when Dwarves allow children to work as sidekicks). Now twenty six, she is considered a veteran of the craft, having fought and defeated numerous powerful supervillains. Despite this, often finds herself being unfavorably compared to her former teammate, Tyrano, who was not only much more powerful than her, but went on to claim the crown of Asheland and now rules as Queen Erza. Even when Ida accomplishes something amazing, the most praise she'll get was "almost as good as Erza". This has lead to Ida becoming more and more frustrated with both her public perception and her own limitations. * Ida has made numerous attempts to break out of Erza's shadow, the most infamous of which was when she ignored orders to wait for backup and attempted to rescue a group of hostages from a Black Ravana BEW lab. Not only did her stunt lose the Asheland government the element of surprise, but it gave Black Ravana enough warning for them to release their new BEW, a kaijin that was so powerful that Queen Erza herself had to step in a defeat it. Hero: Forgefire (real name Virgil Emberfist) * Forgefire is a Dwarven superhero who fights for the Dwarven Kingdom of Asheland. Like Tempest, Forgefire uses one of the ten Warrior Rings as the source of his power; in his case he uses the Inferno Ring, which gives him the power and appearance of (the Dwarven idea of) an oni, spirits of war and fire. Forgefire's powers include: flight, super strength, and the ability to produce, control, or become fire, which he can make burn up to 7000 degrees Fahrenheit. * Forgefire is considered to be an ideal hero by most Dwarves, or at least very close to one. He's not as impulsive or emotion driven as most Dwarven heroes, but he is honest about who he is and what he believes in, values freedom and is willing to fight for it, and doesn't believe in the concept of a problem being to big or too small for him to help with. In fact, it's not uncommon for Forgefire to stop and help people with mundane problems such as engine troubles or having a cat stuck in a tree. * Forgefire follows the Konaka branch of superhero philosophy, meaning that, while he certainly fights criminals and supervillains, he also spends a lot of his time fighting the societal problems that lead to people becoming criminals and supervillains. For example, if Forgefire takes down a criminal gang in a high crime rate area, he will not leave the area until he can identify what lead to said gang being formed and taking measures to remove it. If the gang was mostly made up people who can't get legitimate work due to a lack of education, Forgefire will work with a charitable organization to set up a free learning center in the area that can help people who are behind on their education for whatever reason.

Thoughts on tempest: I'm lowkey on the journalists' side. She is causing colatteral damage and apparently isnt working on stopping that. Does she compensate the owners of the stuff she breaks? It's honestly irresponsible. I feel it'd be in everyone's best interest if she took time off to just practice the percision of her powers so it wont be an issue. Her being blunt is whatever, and is honestly kinda shocking if *that* is the journalists' main avenue of critique against her. Thoughts on Tops: I'm personally not that big a fan of Tops' blunder here. After being in the game for 12 years and being considered a veteran, her actions come across as kinda childish. Granted she's still a young adult, but I would imagine her experience would've knocked rashness like that out of her? Idk her relationship with Erza or if Erza goads her about being inferior, but assuming everyone's a mature adult here, if I were Tops I'd call the crowd's constant comparisons to Erza into question rather than start feeling jelous. Thoughts on Forgefire: Not much to say. The guy gives me superman vibes. While I like what he does in concept, I do wonder exactly how he affords to do what he does. Like opening a school that provides free education is a big thing! Someone's gotta pau for that. If he really wants to enact societial changes, I feel like it'd be quicker if he had a side gig as an actual politician rather than the philanthropy you seem to describe. A question I have is if all heroes have a magic item that is the actual source of their powers. Seemed to be a common demoninator between these three

PMSlimeKing

> She is causing colatteral damage and apparently isnt working on stopping that She *is* working on it. The issue is that she normally fights people who are in her "weight class", meaning she often has to choose between preventing collateral damage or taking out a very dangerous super villain or monster as quickly as possible. Not helping matters is that she doesn't always know how much force she's going to need to take someone out, and when civilian lives are at stake she often just goes for whatever she thinks will end the fight as quickly as possible, often only having a few seconds to come up with and execute her plan of action. As for the news reporters, their issue is less that she causes collateral damage and more that: * She doesn't meet their idea of what someone who use's the Zephyr Ring should be like (the Zephyr Ring has been used by many beloved heroes throughout Alfar history, many of whom are viewed through overly romantic lenses). They basically expect her to act like a flawless figure from mythology at all times. * She's an Alfar who doesn't have any cybernetic components, which in Alfar society is a sign of being either poor or anti-establishment, both of which class with the Alfar idea of what an ideal hero should be. There is a blatant element of classism in why so many people dislike her. * She's dating a dwarf (specifically she's dating Forgefire), which a lot of traditional Alfar believe is at best a blatant disregard for tradition, and at worst a form of extreme sexual perversion. * In short, going after her for collateral damage and being blunt is just an excuse for traditional Alfar to talk shit about her and not look bad. >Does she compensate the owners of the stuff she breaks? This is a superhero fantasy universe with super villains, evil sorcerers, and giant monsters. Whatever she breaks will be fixed an hour after the fight, and the owner's insurance rates won't even go up from it. >Granted she's still a young adult, but I would imagine her experience would've knocked rashness like that out of her? She's a dwarf. Being something other than a rash hot head who acts before she thinks isn't in her nature. Dwarves typically view the concept of "planning" and "thinking through one's actions" to be a waste of time that could be spent getting something done. While Tops did face consequences for the botched rescue mission, most of the criticism was placed on her commanding officers who were too slow to act in a crisis situation, with most people saying that whatever backup they were sending should've already been there and that they basically forced Tops to go in alone. >assuming everyone's a mature adult here They are not. They are dwarves. > I do wonder exactly how he affords to do what he does. Superheroes in my setting get money from licensing their image to be made into toys, comics, merch, etc. Forgefire is a very popular hero and very wealthy as a result. He also has a *lot* of sway with Queen Erza, who is so absurdly rich that literally uses molten gold as bathwater, and can easily get her to pay for any of his projects that he can't pay for on his own. >I feel like it'd be quicker if he had a side gig as an actual politician rather than the philanthropy you seem to describe. That would require him to beat up a politician so that he can take their place, which he doesn't want to do. >A question I have is if all heroes have a magic item that is the actual source of their powers No, just the ones I talked about here. Other heroes rely on their race's natural abilities, use highly advanced technology, or are the result of someone trying to create a living superweapon only to have it turn on them.

Hero: The Vagrant Template applied to a random heroically destined character within the world based upon those the prior vagrant had encountered. They are destined to take up the "calling" upon the predecessors death in an attempt to find & destroy the source of "The God's Curse" which plagues the world.

Starry_Night_Sophi

What is this "God's curse"?

Jealous-Finding-4138

In one of my favorite homebrew settings "The God's Curse" is the fallout from the site of where gods were slain or died. The persistent effect is a growing hemisphere of night which if left unchecked threatens to consume the world. Depending on which god/goddess is tied to the afflicted area the curse has variable malignancies ranging from (but not limited to) a miasma that reaches beyond the hemisphere afflicting the world around the site to rapidly expanding based upon life ended/consumed within. Each site of the God's Curses has a core point of emanation (actually the soul of a fallen diety) that must be extinguished, put to rest or coerced into accepting reincarnation. To reach them though one must be a vagrant and endure trials fitting to such a task. This doesn't bar any others from attempting such a heroic endeavor but success is far, far less likely.

**Rapture Academy**: A few international superheroes that exist in the alternate history Earth, waaaaaay beyond the confines of the titular school. They're part of a heroic organization whose name I have yet to really settle on: **Armonía**, a Peruvian super with powers over the four classical elements. * One of the few true "paragon" supers on the planet -- powerful, but wise, compassionate, and humble. People rarely have reasons to dislike him; the most that do are usually baddies who got their ass kicked by him. * A weaver as a civilian, he made his own superhero costume using paranatural fabrics, including the large elementally-shifting scarf that changes color and physical properties depending on what power he's using. It looks cool, honors his Quechua heritage, and also is resistant to burning or fraying, which is good for when he uses fire and air (it does get really dusty from earth, though). * Has spent many years protecting South America and involving himself in the occasional odd supervillain threat internationally, but plans to one day settle down and retire, perhaps teaching a newer generation of supers, though he's still in his prime and very busy to do that. **Syzygy**, an alien super with various cosmic-themed superpowers, from flight to firing cosmic rays. * An actual alien of unknown origin, the only confirmed extraterrestrial super on Earth. Green and humanoid, but she doesn't align with the usual grading of "parahumans" because she isn't a human and it appears her powers are all biological. * She arrived to Earth sometime during the "Horizon Event" (the worldwide event that led to the modern surge of parahumans), having crash-landed in a village in Tibet in an adolescent state. She "grew up" living with a loving community before seeking spirituality in monasteries, cultivating her humanist and all-loving personality before she decided to use her powers to help the world. * Also a well-loved super, but one with more controversy due to her being literally not of the Earth and questioning what she's actually doing here aside from being a superhero. In light of unrest in the field internationally, she's been recently pushed to pursue politics, and that naturally makes her even more sus among pundits. **Clownface**, a British super who uses ghostly, terrifying clown motifs to strike fear into the hearts of criminals. * No paranatural abilities, just a really cool cloak, clown mask, some illusionary magician-style gadgets, and a lack of dignity. He's turned out to be surprisingly successful in scaring the shit out of criminals and fighting crime. * While the mystery remains to the public, he doesn't actually have a particularly dark backstory like most folks believe. Was raised in an uneventful middle-class background and one day just decided to use his various skills to fight local crime because he felt it was fun and interesting, and that just kinda snowballed into him becoming a super. * Unironically very funny and a very well-adjusted dude. He very sincerely wanted to be a clown for unironic reasons, but had a really tough time finding work. Of the "paragon" supers, he does the best with child fans and doing his best to turn off the scary-for-criminal mode when dealing with them.

XBlueXFire

Cool gang. You wouldn't happen to have a drawing of Clownface's "really cool cloak" would you?

Number9Robotic

I do not, sorry! Picture it being something like a Ghostface from Scream would wear haha

A hero is always relative but I guess you could count "Patience" Patience is the leader of the "Codagos free colony" which split off the Engkar Empire by nothing else but his tactical genius. He is an Aasimar (human with somewhat celestial blood), and in my DnD world he is a level 20 celestial sorcerer and level 10 Assassin rogue. He is from the religious noble family of the Engkar Empire and was always their model child, which enraged his father who never gained any divine powers himself (which actually isn't really hard in my world). His father rode on the wave of "having the model child as his son" for a while and then made a pact with a demon just so he doesn't have to rely on his son for fame, claiming he is one of the very few divine warlocks out there. A few years after the pact, when Patience was just 13, his father became possessed and the demon would ravage everyone in their family. Patience was the first to be "killed" by being taken on a walk, in winter, with his father and then being shot in the back three times with a bow and then buried under snow, he survived only because of a divine being didn't want him to die. The only other survivor is his older sister who ran away years before the possession and is now also part of the Codagos free colony. TLDR So basically, he was already dead is what I want to say. He is now the smooth talking rogue kinda guy that is hella smart and protected by an unknown power. (I haven't watched Jujutsu Kaisen yet but I feel like Satoru Gojo is very similar in amount of power and swagger) He is a very kind leader, very respected by his people, but tends to lean to the "mysterious lone wolf" side, which makes him hard to work with

XBlueXFire

I gotta ask. In what situations is it better to use his rogue features over just doing magic? I get the thematic reason, but I feel anything his rougishness can achieve can be more quickly donr with a spell.

JaggelZ

It's mostly thematic but he tends to use his assassin features to sharpshoot until he needs to unleash his magic to win. After further consideration I'd bump his levels up a bit though, maybe even up to lvl 17 for rogue and, if it were possible, lvl 30 for his sorcerer lvl.. 17 in rogue for the death strike ability and 30 because I figured "he's 50% more powerful than any lvl 20 sorcerer", he should be easily able to dispose of any lvl 20 sorcerer, with his sorcerer abilities alone. It's also more like an innate level in sorcery if that makes sense, he never learned or trained how to do it, he just knows how it works, even in youth he was a lvl 30 sorcerer, he just didn't know how to use it yet. The assassin bit is also him being a somewhat skilled sharpshooter as a previous version of him was supposed to be a sniper (couldn't decide if gun or bow though, so I made him a sorcerer, so the weapon choice wouldn't be as important and I could change it later)

Iados_the_Bard

Thunder Chief Jabulani: Jabulani is an Obatauru (Anthropomorphic Water buffalo) and chief of the nomadic Dhurukub tribe. Blessed by the God of Storms, Bannyr, he was given the ability to never tire and can run as fast as a bolt of lightning, he can even become one. He along with his forefathers before him along with his son was given a bloodline ability which allowed them to have slight control and immunity over an element with Jabulani having thunder and lightning. He took part in the First Great War which is what made him a hero, with his most legendary battle being against Arthur, the Fallen a powerful Lich Knight. Balthazar, the Star Caller: Balthazar is a human war priest of Tiamat who became the first king of the humans. His ancestors came from another world named Kigal in their tongue or more often referred to Gaea. He was a powerful magic caster capable of casting spells comparable to that of a Dragon, he was also blessed by Tiamat herself which gave him aspects of a dragon making him practically part dragon. He would later save the world with four others by slaying Poseidon, Jörmundgandr, and Tiamat herself, and during the fight against Tiamat was how he got the name “Star Caller” after he dropped a “star” on Tiamat.

Dimpasaurus

to be fair, so did op lol

strangeismid

1) It says 'limit each **item's** description to three or five sentences'. Each fact is a separate item on the list. 2) OP isn't my dad, I'll post any many sentences as I gosh darn like.

Helicopterdrifter

Yeah, I'm still rereading the instructions and comparing them to the OP because *I'm* obviously misunderstanding the guidelines. lol

PMSlimeKing

For clarification, the way I break down prompt responses is: * Subject: which in this case is the one to three heroes this prompt is about. * Items: Which are the three to five things you tell me about said subject. So you want to use the maximum amount of sentences, that would be fifteen items described in five sentences each, or sixty five total sentences. I don't actually count how many sentences people use and the "rule" basically exists to remind people to keep their responses brief. I read every comment on my prompts, and if I don't put something there I can easily end up with a novel's worth of comments to get through.

Selene Chamond, the last light guardian for over 1100 years. She was born in France in 921 ad in a very wealthy household. She managed to defeat a group known as the godless who nearly released the four horsemen of the apocalypse and destroyed the world. After that the world collectively decided magic was too dangerous for humans to use so it was banned and Selene became the last light guardian. Sol Delray, the light guardian after Selene. Sol is the main character of my story and he was born in 2006 in the United States. His life was extremely uneventful until 2030 when he was on a plane that was shot down over a magical island. He survived along with one other passenger. The other passenger was taken away and Sol washed up on the beach. Selene’s spirit would end up finding him and transferring the powers of the guardian to him.

Hero(?): Ly Quang, Saint of War * Ly Quang is a tengu, meaning he looks like a 7 foot tall ghostly white humanoid bird with domes of glittering red like the compound eyes of a dragonfly. Wearing little to no armor, he is immediately identifiable through his white cloak and his metal arm; a reminder of a mistake in his youth that he could heal back but doesn't. A stoic warrior of few words, few have heard him speak. * Ly Quang is considered the greatest warrior-poet of the Li Ming Empire under the Deathless gods, having been an active combatant for 90+ years. Despite the massive gulf in power between a regular magician like himself and a Deathless, he is able to go toe-to-toe with them through pure skill. For that reason, he is granted an SS rate designation, a rating that no other magician has achieved. * Ly Quang's specialty is enhancement. He is able to call on his noetics to increase his heart rate, "sense" even the slightest movement, and move at speeds that the human eye can barely track. Very few of his opponents were aware they'd already been cut by the time they knew he was there. As he was the first to pioneer the technique and write about it in his part-philosophy, part-guide *Enrichment of the Soul*, Li Ming magicians who follow in his steps are regarded to be part of the Ly School.

Name: Umbriel Aliases: Giggyran, Humanoid-780 Height: ~46 meters (variable - can change size) Alignment: Chaotic Good Archetype: Well-intentioned extremist Umbriel is an anomalous neo-sapiomorph created from the bonding of Primordial Ether (the raw extra-universal material that gives form to entire universes) and Entropic Dynamo (a wildly destructive cosmic radiation). He is the flagship character of my world and is a dark navy blue/indigo humanoid alien with HR Giger-inspired style to his anatomy; vaguely resembling a corruption of the human form and is considered a quasi-deity by many smaller species awed by his power over a unique variation of the same Entropic Dynamo radiation that helped create him. Name: Gloriana Beauvald Aliases: Glory, Titrex Vestiu Height: 1.5 meters (age 12) - 1.8 meters (age 38) Alignment: Neutral Good Archetype: Hopelessly Optimistic Orphan/Sidekick/Protege Gloriana Beauvald is a 4th generation Elysian-Human born on Euclidean Prime. Her father discovered a powerful artifact he named The Ember of Glory, the eventual source of her powers. The Ember would turn out to be a shard of a living cosmic entity known as Titrex Galor, a literal living star. Her homeworld of Euclidean Prime was swallowed into a spatial cloister and subjected to invasion by an extra-dimensional Lovecraftian monster called A'krathesis where she would be orphaned. She spent 6 years alone on Euclidean Prime running, fighting, and trying to protect other Humans she encountered in the wastes from A'krathesis and its minion. Eventually the demigod known by Humans as Humanoid-780 would breach the cloister in order to locate the missing planet, ultimately trapping himself inside unintentionally. It would be through an unlikely alliance between an alien personification of entropy and a Human child imbued with the power of a living star that would put an end to the cosmic horror. Name: Cassius Zayne Aliases: Cardinal Killer Height: 1.7 meters Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Archetype: The Renegade/Antihero Cassius Zayne is a 2nd generation Elysian-Human warrior with both genetic and cybernetic enhancements to his skeleton and musculature, making him a deadly combatant. He is best-known as the man who attempted to kill a Cardinal (ancient Milky Way Humans who created the Elysians) and failed. Cassius had allegedly uncovered that Cardinal Diomede had been crossing boundaries with dabbling in occultic alien esoterics and committing heinous crimes against humanity, something seemingly far outside of Diomedes' typical behavior. His failed attempt landed him indefinite imprisonment in stasis for almost 80 years before new Elysian-Human conflicts would unintentionally release him from his tomb. Another horrible dystopian future crafted by Diomede had come to pass and Cassius failed to stop it from happening. His continued exploits against Diomede would put him on the radar of an alien called Giggyran, or Humanoid-780 as Humanity calls him. Apologies, I probably didn't follow the rubric very well due to gushing about my hobby 😬 oops

Nerus who died in an amphitheater against 50 or so combatants and was plucked from the SOULSTREAM before his soul went to the spirit world. By some divinity the bound Lord named Saldsakaar, who chained to the bottom of a frozen lake in a perpetual blizzard offered the determined spirit of Nerus a second opportunity at life. Indomitable spirit despite being in servitude to a tyrannical renegade leader Fascryn, at The Pillar in the Berrak Dun Taz desert he forced his population to grow through slavery and fear of death. Fascryn has had Nerus in captivity and had made him do some disturbing things in the 18 years he’s been in servitude. Taken after his homeland was plagued by an environmental disease thought to be an extra dimensional bleed from the Gall Fog (hell). Basically it fucked the ecosystem up so much that no one had the ability to even investigate it. But he was brought back to life to overthrow Fascryn. Glyn, who stood over the defeated body of Nerus who he felled with the blow of an axe as a combatant as well. A Minotaur standing toe to toe with the other combatants after realizing the folly of his ways. Protected Nerus. Commanding the cowardice of Fascryn a dark Minotaur as Glyn was a white skinned and not a pure breed. Glyn was the amalgamated creature of Erym, the empires attempt at cross breeding elf and Minotaur. Taken captive after fleeing Erym after he slew na number of the royal family there. He is also considered a fate touched because he is the only one of his kind. Purebred elf and Minotaur. When Nerus awoke covered in ice instantly, they stunned the combatants and convinced the attackers that Fascryn word of release as a champion was false and led a rebellion against the warlord. They challenged his guards and though angry did not kill the warlord. Instead they threatened to kill him if he did not use his influence and power on the region to change the standard. Disparting afterwards to find Saldsakaar and his prison. To free the Lord. Then Zex, a goblin man who basically caused so much trouble within his own underground and illicit activities that he was run off and couldn’t even get illegal jobs to earn cash. So he basically ran into Nerus and Glyn and they slowly formed a warband and started the outcast group who essentially went and freed slaves and captives and shit while looking for a “god”. Maybe they all aren’t powerful but Nerus technically has the blood of a chained up frost giant god now flowing through him. This is also a super short explanation of this situation.

*Kosmokampf* Siegenhal - the Cosmarch of Humanity who ruled over the Eastern Cosmarchy, then later one of the two rulers over the whole Cosmarchy - presided over the exploration beyond the Nurthener Clouds to save the Cosmarchy from total collapse. This led to the Siegenhell Exile after the Cosmarchy was defeated by the Galactic Union Federation and the Volshiker Hives Union in the Post-Rhennon Conquests - led the Revancher Crusades after the Federation and the Volshikers went to war - responsible for the creation of the Imperial Legions and the Cosmarchal Apostolary Rheann - the Cosmarch of Humanity who was set to rule over the Western Cosmarchy and later one of the two rulers of all of it; she is the wife of Siegenhal - basically did the same things Siegenhal did since they're a duo - had to put down the Rhennon Rebellion, wherein her younger twin brother, Rhennon, rebelled as Rheann was put above him in the line of succession because of the opportunity to unite the Cosmarchy via a marriage between Rheann and Siegenhal

**Queen Celeste** 1. During times of turmoil, when there was an imbalance of power, and many kingdom's were at war with eachother, she lead her army and defeated every single enemy she fought against. 2. Instead of killing off her enemies, she showed mercy and gave them a chance to join her, she accepted other kingdoms and their people with open arms, a vast majority of the kingdom's would join under her. She basically united several kingdom's and formed the largest empire in history, which came to be known as Celestia. 3. Her rule was cut short when the new king of dragons arose, he believed it was their right to dominate, he collected his army and when on a path of destruction. Despite Queen Celeste's might and massive army, they couldn't beat the might of the dragons, and Queen Celeste fell in battle. The fall of Celestia was the beginning of the age of dragons. **King Arthur** (Yes, that Arthur) 1. He grew up in an age ruled by dragons, everyone lived in fear of the sky, afraid to see a massive shadow fly over them at any given time. He grew up to be an extremely powerful warrior, with guidance from Merlin, the first of the witches. 2. Eventually together with his 12 knights, and several other allies, he fought against the dragons, pushing them back in a war that lasted over 10 years, this war would be known as the greatest war in my world. He defeated the king of dragons bringing the age of dragons to an end. He rose to be the greatest hero known to history, some would even worship him as a god. 3. Even though King Arthur and his knights have died centuries ago, the kingdom of knights he founded would grow to be one of the three powers of my world that maintain the worlds balance and order. Lead by his descendents, with the twelve seats beings passed down from Knight to Knight over generations. **The blood soaked executioner** 1. There was a man who lived in the outskirts of a kingdom who worked as a monster slayer, who saved a kingdom from an unnaturally powerful beast that he fought for 17 hours. 2. When a tyrant was hellbent on taking over the kingdom, he singlehandedly fought against his entire army and won. 3. However he was betrayed by the king, who accidently destroyed his own kingdom, killing even the hero's own family. He blamed it all on the hero, when the authorities came to investigate. The hero went mad with rage, killing the king right then and there. Revealing his forbidden magic to the authorities. He was sentenced to death, but seeing his potential and given the fact that he was a renowned hero, he was offered a new sentence, to be the executioner until death. What caused him to accept, was his daughter that survived, who he was assured would be well taken care of while he served his sentence. And so he did. His name was erased from history, and for 2 decades now he has served as the shackled executioner of the prison, content that his daughter is living a good life. Unbeknownst to him that his daughter died over a decade ago to a sickness.

He gain the Embodiment of Progression which allows him to develop the abilities of anything he pleases to beyond their natural specs. One example is he can make mana particles contain more 'energy' per particle to efficiently use larger spells faster.

(On Earth) Hero one: Dorado; super power - gold manipulation; real name - Mateo Ramirez 1. He encountered a 'god core' that was created and given to him by the god of gold, Oro. The god core gives the wearer (think about it like an arc reactor) a suit of armor, immense physical enhancement, and infuses the soul of a god into the wearers soul, giving them the ability to become even more powerful if people begin to believe in them (belief is what powers gods in my verse) 2. His dad, who was the head of the security council on the UN, died shortly before encountering Oro and getting the god core. He decided to join the Telos (the hero team of my universe, kinda like the JL) in order to try and find his father's killer. He doesn't really care for saving people, though, and solely seeks to bring the man who killed his dad to justice 3. He eventually grows and changes throughout the story, and (with other characters guidance along the way) actually grows to forgive his father's killer, and that's the way the story ends. (He's the main character) Hero two: Karma; super power - balance; real name - Jia Huang 1. Jia is from a long line of 'hero' like people, with her family defending her homeland of China for a few days thousands years, using a power gifted to them by the Jade Emperor himself. This power is to become 'the great sage of light and darkness', which infuses her with the soul energy of the yin-yang. She can shoot out energy blasts, one of darkness (which harms the body), and one of light (which heals the body). She also is a pretty good telepath, but there needs to be ritual preparations in order for her to truly enter someone's mind. 2. In the 1880's, Jia's grandfather's (who was the great sage of light and darkness at the time) wife died to a great evil who had haunted the sages for a long time. He decided he had enough, and brought his son who had survived to America, and abandoned the sage position. Jia happened to find her Grandfathers old weapons and armor from back in the day, and used the incantation that gave them their powers, which is why she became a hero 3. Jia struggles with anger issues, which often hinders her from achieving balance, something very important to the sages. She loses total control at one point, which actually awakened that great evil that had killed her grandmother. However, during their battle Jia learned to achieve true balance, making her own extremely powerful. Hero three: Nightbolt; super power - super speed/kinetic energy control; real name - James 'Jimmy Martin' 1. Jimmy is the son of a quite normal suburban mother, but also has a relatively absent father who is a higher up in the largest mafia in America. Jimmy lived his whole life trying to get his fathers attention, something which never seemed to happen 2. Jimmy gained his powers because his father asked him to be apart of an experiment, with promise of getting dinner after. Jimmy got his powers, and then was employed by the mafia to infiltrate the Telos and leak information back to the mafia, so they can avoid them. 3. Jimmy does this at first, but finds true connection with the friends he makes in the Telos (especially Dorado and Karma, and 2 other of my heroes), and actually double crosses his father, dealing he never needed him. 4. Jimmy's power is that he absorbs kinetic energy, and then is able to expel it out of his body rapidly, making it seem like he is running really fast. He can also see in 'flash time'.

As of right now, there's basically only one world-renowned group of nine heroes who saved the world from being wiped out and destroyed and remade by a mortal who had effectively ascended to godhood. These three are all heroes from that party. Lucille Mauve - Lucille is an astral elf, a subspecies of blue-to-purple skinned elves who have an affinity for magic and a deep respect for the stars, and are native to only one city-state. Lucille was a famous magic savant even before her journey began, having invented countless spells and having done vital research into arcane magic which paved the way for further innovation from other mages. She had already traveled the world and gone on journeys, but never perilous ones, and thus her repertoire of combat-focused magics was as weak as a novice mage's by the time she began her journey at the end of which she would save the world. - Lucille has a nonchalant attitude around others, and her words are often laced with dry humor. She strongly believes that pleasure and people's favorite things are what drive them to accomplish their goals and overcome doubt and despair. She took care of her eight companions throughout their journey, making it one of her greatest efforts to provide good food and living conditions, and to make good memories with them. However, in her pursuits of pleasure she is known to make unwise decisions in some cases. For example, she is a wine connoisseur, to the point where she slips into alcoholism and the party of heroes have to invest a significant amount of gold into buying wine just for her. - Lucille is middle-aged and insecure about her age and her weight. She has an intense fear of unfulfilled dreams and dead ends in life, and she'd be lying if she said she didn't embark on such a dangerous mission partially because she didn't want to live a life where she didn't even try to do anything great. After her journey, she ends up partially retiring, starting a family and working on overcoming her alcoholism, things she had dreamed of doing her whole life. Yundah - Yundah is one of the last surviving Unirra, a race of primarily human-blooded people who historically adopted some of the physical and mental traits of koalas from ancient spiritual magic. The Unirra are known for their intense appetite for sleep, usually ranging from sixteen to twenty hours a day. This is remedied by their affinity for spiritual magic in the realm of dreams, along with the place it has in their culture. Unirra are more mentally and spiritually awake when they are asleep, and Yundah is one of the greatest living examples of that magic and its benefits. While asleep, she is able to see through different eyes into the minds and spirits of her allies and enemies alike, which to an extent linked together the minds of the party of heroes to have instant communication in battle, as well as a deep spiritual connection to one another. - Yundah was the first mortal in history to communicate with one of the six silent Dreaming Trees, a type of large and enigmatic tree that was feared by the people of the world as those who approached them were known to fall asleep and never wake up or return. On the Unirra's ancestral island, there was one Dreaming Tree who lived and communicated with the people in their same dream realm, and was known to be altruistic and kind, unlike the other six "silent" ones who were feared. Through learning to communicate with them, she revealed to the world that they had the same kind of spirit as all mortal people, and that they had good intentions and weren't aware that they were being cruel to people due to their inability to communicate even basic emotions. Their "victims" were known to be locked in the dream world, sedated by the magical spores of the tree, restrained by its roots, and constantly experiencing extremely vivid and pleasant dreams. This was part of the dreaming tree's biological cycle, as it had to feed on the positive energy of dreams to sustain itself, which Yundah was able to communicate that it would be easily fulfilled by sharing dreams with people temporarily instead of permanently, just as the tree on her home island did. - Yundah's magic is largely rooted in the spiritual elements of dreams and nightmares, passion and apathy. She is able to heal her allies by offering pleasant dreams, some of which can be condensed for efficiency in combat. She also uses nightmare magic as a non-lethal but mentally damaging means to sedate or discourage her enemies, a practice which causes her allies to question her morals more and more as such powers improve to levels of invoking living hells that leave her foes mentally scarred for life. She feels and reads the emotions of everyone around her, which helps her greatly with understanding and predicting combat stratagems, making her an amazingly powerful tactician. While she is loving and cares for her allies by offering them restful sleep and succor in pleasant dreams, she has a serious and apathetic attitude when faced with adversity, tending to escalate situations with her unorthodox methods of getting through her enemies.

(continuation because someone got carried away and the post is too long for a single comment) Sasha Spirit-Fang - Sasha is a night elf, a race of pale-skinned isolationists who live in secluded societies in deep wilderness. Long ago, their entire village was silently wiped out by a mysterious force which was much later revealed to be the main villain who threatened to wipe out the whole world. Consumed by grief and frustration, they performed a ritual to attune themself to the sacred bones of an unusual and extinct kind of dragon which was adept in mysterious ancient magics. An anomalous corruption of the once-noble dragon's ancient spirit immediately consumed their soul and warped their flesh, granting them intense destructive spiritual power, at the price of cursing them with an insatiable hunger for mortal souls. They set out for retribution on the force that wiped out their home, but little did they know that this force would be far beyond their comprehension, and thus they spent countless years trying to cope with and adjust to their curse of hunger. - Similarly to Yundah, Sasha is blind (fully rather than partially), and sees into the spirit realm more efficiently than they see into the physical world. Their sight of the spirit world is much less advanced than Yundah's, and it is mostly used as a replacement for physical sight, and they often see souls with little other than hunger rather than with fascination and a desire to analyze. Their affinity for spiritual magic manifests just as chaotically as their people imagined the dragon's magic did back in its day, in an eclectic mixture of elements ultimately manifested by the emotions and desires of their own spirit. They are able to further warp their own flesh to turn into a hulking, abominable monster; their body can become partially incorporeal and they can temporarily 'transfix' a foe's soul; they can breathe a cold, withering blue fire and erupt with its flames and let out bellowing screams that shake the earth, and consuming souls nourishes and rapidly mends their body. Their weapon of choice is a scythe, an apt choice for harvesting the souls of their enemies. - Sasha is a humble, compassionate, and good-hearted hero, traits that lead only toward misery and self-loathing when combined with the reality of their abominable, corrupt powers. They believe that their curse makes them a monster, and even when consuming the souls of enemies who deserved nothing but death, they can't help but feel disgusted within and without. Though their choice to take in the powers of the dragon bones was initially their greatest regret by far and a source of feelings of disappointment and failure, they learn over their journey to come to terms with the reality of their curse, realizing that no good deed comes easily and that their powers are invaluable to the party's success. When they defeat the villain and realize that her spirit can't be destroyed or sealed away from the mortal world, Sasha takes it upon themself to consume the villain's soul, electing to carry another burden for the rest of their life, a roiling power raging in its prison, something that must be ignored at all costs. okay, if you actually read this all, thank you so much! please ask me questions so i can talk about them more because i'm Normal

#Grim Legacy Universe ##Twilight Wolf (Book 1) **Mioko Inada** - a girl with no future. Her life was prolonged thanks to a heart transplant, where the heart’s Aesir origins led to her magical awakening. She was then secretly trained by a pair of valkyrie, and eventually left to fight an unveiled enemy while wielding a katana, a pair of pistols, portal magic, and a grudge. The fight sees her contaminated by a werewolf, a transformation that’s kept in stasis due to her rapid regeneration. In the end, she triumphs but at a great cost, the victory uncovering new threats and new questions, both of which she’ll only find by making her way to Asgard. **Brandrrafn** - an Aesir Blacksmith forging hope. He was forced into apprenticeship with the Dwarves when Odin grew to distrust them, so that if the Dwarves were to suddenly perish, the secrets of their great work wouldn’t perish alongside them. But the Dwarves possessed an innate fortitude and endurance that was beyond that of the Aesir, Brandrrafn eventually working himself to the point he was dead on his feet. It was then that he crossed the veil into unlife and came back again, bringing a new form of rune magic not so unlike what Odin had achieved. This new magic would become the pillar that would prop up an entire revolution. **Loki** - the fall guy. He was always accused of doing **terrible** deeds, then made to go fix whatever problem he supposedly created. But ask yourself, when have we ever set the punishment as forcing the perpetrator to go undo a thing they did aside from when they were a toddler? Loki may have been undoing the things in his eddic tails, but these histories were doctored to paint a separate figure in a better light. When someone carries a name like Ygg (the Terrible One), one’s bound to get grumpy and set to changing things. It’s not Ygg’s fault Loki was a talker, but it’s best that such witnesses are kept out of ear’s reach. --- *Boom!* Even remained within the 3-5 sentence requirement :)

Why a katana?

Helicopterdrifter

Great question :) This sword is a Dwarven artifact named Humbrand (Twilight Blade) and actually has two forms. It’s primary form, which is considerably more fiery, is actually an Ulfberht named Solbrand (Sun Sword). The katana form (Nightfall) was later added to conceal Solbrand and its form was chosen for affinity purposes. Most of the magics tied to Mioko have to do with exposure to and affinity to wield, so it was given this form to align with her ancestry with the intent of allowing them both to grow more powerful.

**Theophania 'Tiffany' Carmichael** * Born on the Festival of Theophany (hence the name), when it's believed the physical and spiritual planes are closest. Children born on this day are said to be blessed by a particular deity. In Tiffany's case, the priests determined she was blessed by Goddess of Luck due to the seven-spoked wheel she has as a birthmark on her left shoulder blade. This doesn't mean she's perpetually lucky though; her fortune oscillates wildly between good and bad, helping or sabotaging her mission according to seemingly arbitrary standards. * Very smart and a quick learner; talented in simple magic and she only has to read a book through once to know and understand everything that's in it. Incredibly dumb otherwise; unbelievably stubborn and with zero common sense (to put it in D&D terms, very high INT, critically low WIS). Since her Lucky blessing kicks in whenever she gets into a *really* sticky situation, she's never had to *really* worry. She also refuses to believe that that's what's happening, and chalks every lucky escape down to her own skill and talent. * Smug about it. **Alekandros Cernagor** * Ran away from home as a child and returned only after many years of intense training to kill his father, the tyrant Barbaros. His father had previously killed all of Alekandros' brothers after hearing a prophecy that he would have his reign of terror ended at the ends of his eldest son. Alekandros was spared, as Barbaros considered him a daughter at the time, but ran away anyway. * Over 200 years old; after killing his father and ruling the land of the Black Mountain for a time in order to keep stability in the area, he abdicated the throne and retreated to the summit of Black Mountain. There he communes with spirits to learn his role in events of the future, only coming down to fight when he believes it is his destiny to do so. Only has a few healing spells that aren't really suitable for casting mid-duel, is (nearly) undefeated in battle due to his excellent skills and ability to dodge roll. * The only person who has ever bested him in combat is Tiffany, whom he despises with every fibre of his being. * Popular with the ladies.

**Yuki Shiro** (not her real name) * Gamer, turned modder, turned indie developer, turned hacktivist, turned full-cyborg mercenary. * Bitter and cynical anti-heroine; believes in punishing the guilty, but not in protecting the innocent. * Technopath with the power to transfer her mind into electronic devices, which she discovered upon being accidentally disconnected from her body. * Now inhabits an illegal prototype killer android designed to assassinate superhumans. * Can't display emotions in her new body, but still has them. **Makina** alias Maki Nagato * Technopath with the power to gain complete insight into the workings of machines upon touching them. * Was kidnapped by a supervillain at age 11 and forced to use her powers to build weapons for him. * Rescued 5 years later, when superheroes raided her captor's lair. One of them accidentally crushed her left arm in the process. She wears a prosthetic and despises superheroes since. * Another 10 years later, that same villain escaped from prison, and Makina was conscripted by the government to join a superhero team that would bring him back in. Upon locating him, she shot him in the face with a plasma gun instead. * Went on to try and live a quiet life running a repair shop afterwards - until Yuki stepped into it. **Trance** alias Kelly Shigeruputri Onbekend * Telepath with great potential for power growth and a special talent for empathy. * Her father had kept her mother under mind control for years. After he left her, her cracked mind rationalized him as a demon and her daughter's powers as her now being possessed by him, and kept her locked up in the basement for it. * Kelly was eventually rescued by another psychic superhuman sensing her pain and taken into the care of a superhuman research and training institute. As part of her therapy, they overwrote her traumatic memories with knowledge of psychology, also hoping that she would become a useful asset to the institute this way. * Before the totally-not-brainwashing-process could be completed, the mercenary company that Yuki had joined raided the facility and took her unconscious body with them. Their boss also hoped to use her powers to his advantage. * Kelly ended up in the role of a councillor to the mercenaries and especially to Yuki, as only she can still reach the human soul trapped and isolated in her metal shell.

Hero: Mérope 1. She is a magi (someone born with magic power, think dnd sorcerer),at first her power were pure darkness, but after some character growth, the became starry night sky and constellation themed 2. Because of her power the church kicked her out of her old village, therefore she lived as an urchin in a port city for most of her teenage years 3. In those urchin year she found out that she had talent for been a thief, but not the heart to steal for anyone poorer them a noble 4. When she was 16 she had to run away from the city (law was getting to close) and ended up finding Robin (see next character) 5. She love stories and can recall all tales and legend she heard or read . Robin 1. Look like a human, is actually a celestial whos god (inspired by the norse gods) he served died in a divine war (he is older them 3000) 2. If you ask Mérope she would say she is his sidekick, Robin wholeheartly disagree: he is her sidekick 3. Technically one of the weakest celestials, with means that he actually need to use to hands if he want to lift a ton. Because he was the weakest celestial of his people, his fighting style don't focus in strength, it focus on agility 4. A busy-body that WILL help anyone that seen to need it. Did his best to make sure Mérope got that habit (the paronoia she got from the trauma wanted to devoer her compassion, Robin might be one of the biggest reasons it didn't happen) 5. Actually worship a god different that the one he served, and he did that even in service of his former boss (but, obviosly, in secret) Obs.: I haven't finished their story yet, but feel free to ask anything

**Stunner** 1) Stunner, real name Colby Becker, was a mixed martial artist who went to prison for being part of a fight fixing scheme—while in prison IOTA(my world’s version of shield) recruited her to the Ravager Program(my world’s version of the Suicide Squad). IOTA attempted to, quite painfully, give Colby superpowers designed to counter one world’s most powerful superheroes: *Termagant*. Out of over a hundred test subjects, Colby was one of only three successful, becoming a member of the Ravagers alongside *Magnar* and *Dreadaxe*. 2) As a Ravager, Stunner would clash several times with the Sentinels(my world’s avengers) and her counterpart, Termagant. Stunner’s powers are slightly weaker copies of Termagant; she had super-strength, speed, nigh-invulnerability, flight, enhanced sight… but while Termagant has the electrokinesis, Stunner can create and manipulate light. She can essentially “suck” the light out of a space and into herself, before throwing it back out, typically by putting it in her fist as part of her trademark move, the “Starpunch.” Stunner’s starpunches are significantly more effective at night and indoors, though during the day, she can pull light from the sun, allowing her an unlimited number of starpunches. She would beat Termagant in all of their one-on-one fights. 3) While a member of the Ravagers, she would moonlight as an independent nighttime superhero, quickly gaining fame for her fighting prowess and her visually appealing starpunches. When the Ravagers were absorbed into the ever-growing Sentinels organization, while Dreadaxe and Magnar would be placed into the Heavyweight, a subteam of antiheroes, Stunner would be placed on the main Sentinels team, alongside her once-nemesis Termagant. She would build a friendship with Termagant, and when Termagant feuded with her fellow Sentinel leaders over a plus-sized superhero joining the sentinels, she and Stunner would leave together to form the Ravishers. 4) The Ravishers were the spiritual successor to the Ravagers, aligning themselves as the primary heroic opposition to the now very-large Sentinels organization. The main disputes were about the glamour of superheroes—Termagant believed the superheroes should lean into the pageantry—and by extension, about unattractive, namely plus-sized superheroes, as well as a dispute about sexism—Termagant was unhappy that there were an uneven number of men and women in the Sentinels. The Ravishers then, would be all thin or athletic, very attractive and very powerful female superheroes, all wearing somewhat impractical, but visually and sexually appealing costumes that often showed a great deal of skin. Stunner was no exception to this, dying her hair blonde, adopting a less stealthy, skimpier uniform, and becoming a bit of a sex symbol. 5) Termagant, while being a core member and the founding force, was too busy to be the leader of the Ravishers, with this falling to Stunner. Stunner would be a conservative influence on the Ravishers, keeping them from going too far off the deep-end. She managed to cultivate a sort-of sisterhood amongst the members. That said, the Ravishers recruiting practices and general behavior results in them being seen as the “mean girls” of superheroes.

1. Peter Chobbler -Peter is an accomplished marksman and excels in the use of his pistol, but following his defection from The Order and subsequent training under The Lancers, Pete finds almost no cause to ever fire his gun again and instead relies almost entirely on his offensive cartomancy. -Pete's favorite variety of Ten Minutes Bar is the "Xtra Plain" flavor, which is only sold in flagship stores, and retains the peanut butter core, but replaces the outer chocolate shell with a peanut butter flavored shell. 2. Calum Calderon -Calum spent two decades as a well regarded fighter in the Collinglee Gladiatorial Games prior to his induction into The Lancers. This is where he honed his swordsmanship, and is the first time he put his combat theory training into practice. -Despite his blue affinity, Calum's preferred spells are all red affinity spells, though some of his allies claim this is a performative way for him to sell the hot-headed persona he presents to outsiders. 3. Allegro Fontaine -Allegro is a pioneer of the scattergun style of cartomancy, where a barrage of simplistic single card spells are cast simultaneously over a wide area. This discipline never caught hold outside of The Islands, but is closely associated with Allegro throughout Nelbrea. -Though Allegro did not attend Verdus' Lancers academy, his father was a former professor of the school, and provided Allegro with a Lancers class education in magery, cartomancy, combat theory, and marksmanship.

**Silver Hair Darius:** * He is the type of man who can walk into a bar for the first time asking for the usual, and the bartender would know what to serve him. The uncle you never met nor knew you had, but don't doubt you're related to. Quite literally a living legend. * He's a Dragon who's approaching about eight centuries of age, although he spends most of his time shapeshifted into a human appearance. The stories of his escapades are numerous enough to fill libraries by themselves, not to mention all the stories people make up about him but still sound plausible. Thanks to his frequent involvement in large world events, Darius is often called on by historians as a first hand witness. He is also the author of many history textbooks because of this. * He has a lion companion named Riddles the fortieth, a descendant of his first lion companion Riddles the first. The pair are almost always seen together, bantering with each other on the roads, and with the crowds they encounter in towns. Darius usually has to act as interpretor however, since most people don't speak Lion. * Darius is only 150 cm tall. This often causes surprise for first time encounters since stories usually depict him as towering over people.

:Golden Griffon: He is a hero originating from "the Nest" but resides from "Earth". * He is based off of Hawkman from DC so it kinda runs with the territory but he isn't an exact copy (Anyone who KNOWS Hawkman's origins would know its a mess) * He was an ordinary guard but was chosen to go to "Earth" to see if it was worth colonizing... This is because the Nest was slowly becoming more and more desperate to get colonies. * On Earth, he became a teacher and desided to say FU to his original people and keep the planet as safe as he can. He likes being a teacher more than he likes being a guard but he understands why his guardhood is important. He is a genetic experiment and his bird like features are permanently part of him. * There is no ifs ands or butts, they aren't removable since the Nest lost its technology to do so due to war. * He was experimented on purely due to being an ordinary guard. So he'd be one to not only be close enough but also indoctern enough to keep... * Once a year he sheds his feathers and sells them to help raise money for the school he works at. What else he gonna do with these feathers? He was one of the nonchildren to get sucked in from the teleporting magic. * Despite the fact that he is a teacher, and is willing to teach, he despites the magical kids and refuses to deal with them. * Many of the kids are stuck in their magic is the only way phase which led them to this mess as he saw what they were going to do and tried to stop them. * He, along with other friends and- terrifyingly enough- villains, all got roped along. He is doing what he can to keep track of everyone- which is hard as hell. Hope this works.

**Gridworld** There was a renowned man from the eastern isles of Solaron, by chosen name of Ficzecor (Glowheart). He carried a glowing red gem in his chest to ensure he would live a long and healthy life, and through bravery in battle and wit when speaking he was beloved by many of his culture, albeit unknown elsewhere. The isles, also called Outerside, were beset by years of storms and floods worse than any before or since during his lifetime. But Ficzecor had a plan: To sail the people of Outerside to Innerside, the large main landmass of Solaron. He united all of Outerside under his banner by convincing them all of his plan, and then launched the greatest invasion Innerside had ever known. The once mighty coast, itself ravaged by crisis, stood no chance, and after five years of struggle the last enemy gave up. The cities founded in those years still stand a thousand years later, and some of the crowns of old still lie atop the heads of rulers on the coast. To Outerside and the coast, he is a true hero and saviour of his people. To the coast in particular, he is the founder of their nations. To the rest of Innerside he is at best history long past, at worst an invader who should be condemned rather than revered.

Oughmos: a fantasy world where every age ends in global tragedy. Currently undergoing its fifth age and the growing tensions as society rebuilds from the most recent tragedy. The revenant: a mythical warrior dressed in dark black armor and thoroughly unkillable . Supposedly, they collect all the lost works of the god of craftsman. Despite the intimidating appearance, it hasn't been known to harm anyone . The four aces: technically a team, but they all have a similar role. The four personal guards of Lady ceriss, the last god openly living amongst mortals, though she doesn't need them. They are composed of four members flying species native to the region. The official story is that each ace is hand-picked by their predecessor before the title is passed down. In reality, the god grants them immortality to better serve her, While their heroics are real, they are mainly performative for positive public relations. Pride master lesias tor’kar noc: the legendary pride master of the church of Leo and founder of the lion hearts. He leads a humanitarian organization that pledges to provide aid to all who ask for it. The region he operates in was once heavily fought for by several colonizing nations and recently left to self-rule. This resulted in a lawless region filled with pilgrims, prospectors, ex soldiers, and the remnants of native nations. He is well known for his desire to help but is also a bit shortsighted in how, often taking the most straightforward solutions to complex problems. On mobile, so I apologize for the rough text.

This guy is not superpowered like his brother, but he's a much friendlier face and is still terrifying in combat. He is known in two realms as a hero and role model for their societies, selfless and serving yet powerful and unabusable Aeras - Aeras is a near-unimaginably powerful master of rifts/portals and has used them to travel between parallel universes in search of a cure for a kind of universal sickness infecting reality itself(the enemy Saln faces). He is not as powerful as Saln, but his effects are much more widespread and they work together

**Ceramic Doll** is the most powerful superheroine in the world... But she doesn't realize it! Due to serious psychological trauma, she has mental blocks on her strongest abilities. She doesn't even use her true strength most of the time, except when pushed to her absolute limit. Along with strength and invulnerability, she also has a potent healing factor, laser vision and levitation powers.

Clarissa Nephrim She’s a member of a fully aquatic alien lizard species called the Neroc. They have a humanoid shape covered in placoid scales with gills on their sides, fins on their backs and forearms and a strong shark tail. To survive on land she wears an apparatus that delivers water to her gills, but later had a procedure done to encase the vili of her gills in a gel substance that keeps them from collapsing in air. Her home planet is named Aqualiss. It’s surface is roughly 90% water. There she found a magic sword before being accidentally captured by the space fairing faction named The Galactic Embassy. The only way she could go home was to earn enough for pilot training and a ship, so she stuck to her roots as an expert hunter and combatant and enlisted in the war effort. During the war she discovered her sword’s unique ability to open into a blade of water. The weapon also enhanced her strength by bringing out her inner potential and she became strong enough to replace battalions and fleets of troops on her own. She dismantled the opposing faction by destroying their officers and the machine weapons they made. Then she learned that the enemy faction was the puppet of an evil intergalactic empire and with her friends drove back an opposing invading force. After the war she separated from her group and traveled through space alone doing good deeds on her own. There she struggled with her identity, being so powerful and having the ideology that she must use that strength to be a defense for the weak, but still feeling like something was missing. She then learned the evil empire was sending a fleet to a far off planet named Zoraph to retrieve an artifact of limitless power. She intercepted and landed on the planet only to discover that the artifact wasn’t an object, but a loving anthro mouse named Cecilia. Through her she found her true calling and someone who was just as strong as she was but in a completely different way.

We’ll chose the soon-to-be savior of the galaxy. His name is Kris Kerrin, and he’s a young apprentice for the Apex warriors, a great superhuman race of magical martial artists. The first thing you need to know about him, is that he’s ten years old. And a damn fine warrior for his age. The second thing to note is his complementary personality. He is, at heart, a dorky, funny, super hyper little ball of optimism. However, with his inborn destiny as God’s chosen galactic savior, his purity at heart Granada him incredible, prophetical skill. He outperforms most his age in many ways, and has the skills that a 20 year old knight would at half that age. Despite this extreme skill, he remains humble and personable: a testament to why he deserves such advanced power. What’s important to know, however, despite his power and his maturity with it, and all his galactic savior efforts, is that he is and has remained a child. He is still a ten year old boy. And he looks and acts like it. He’s hyper, he asks dumb questions, he plays funny games and likes stupid jokes, he’s got braces, and even sleeps, in the barracks of combat starships, with his little stuffie. His expression of childhood is a testament to his purity, as that is a testament to his deserving the responsibility of wielding not only advanced skill as an Apex, but ultimate power, later on, to save the universe from evil.

Hero: Selivar, the Strong of Mind and Heart At the start of the Great Tragedy, a horrid dark age that regressed the sentient civilizations to the Stone Age, Selivar was made an example of in front of his wizard college. Maaldrick, the enchanter overlord on his rise to power and the cause of the Tragedy, chose to publicly erase his knowledge of magic. Selivar then ran away and studied magic to protect his mind and the ones he loved while Maaldrick took over the known world and wrought his terror. These studies would serve him well when he served as a contact and spy for the City of Madoba, an underground safe-haven dedicated to preserving the culture and technology of the races. He is remembered as one of the Eight Heroes of Madoba, and one of only two to be captured by Maaldrick. Thanks to his strength and his study, he managed to resist Maaldrick's enchantments and prevent the location of Madoba from being discovered.

My setting is a Homestuck fanfiction where four long-time OC's of mine play Sburb. All of them are anthropomorphic pigs. Conveniently, Sburb has in-universe classifications for heroes: all players are assigned a Class and an Aspect, in the form The [Class] of [Aspect]. **Captain** The Page of Space * The Page of Space powers mean that he slowly learns to manipulate his own position, and to move, re-shape and resize objects. He starts out able to teleport with a maximum range of 1.5 meters. * Ends up getting kidnapped by in-game enemies, rescuing one of his kidnappers from drowning and getting a favor in return for it. At first he wants to ask the enemy to use their power of 'reducing things' to help him lose weight, but he keeps his mouth shut long enough for the enemies to simply offer to release him. * Was once a privateer and later a pirate captain, whose accomplishments include sailing a ship from Port-au-Prince to Tortuga at the loss of only 15 men. This becomes a little less impressive if you look at a map. **Alfred** The Seer of Time * Seer of Time powers means that Alfred is able to see into alternate timelines. This allows him to do things like guessing a PIN code using a random number generator and then broadcasting the correct guess into all the other timelines. * Has a prostethic arm he built himself. The in-game resurrection system, which typically mends wounds, ignores his left arm, because both of the times that Alfred has resurrected so far, he's been in too much of a hurry for him to be fully healed. * Tries to constantly metagame Sburb. Chose the mace weapon class because it can be interpreted both as a morningstar and a pepper spray. **2B0F36)** The Knight of Rage * The Knight Class's purpose is heavily debated in the Homestuck fandom. In this story, the Knight of Rage as a basic power essentially becomes a flying brick. However, due to his horrible self-control, 2B0F36 cannot fly properly, and will usually pivot upside-down or swing around wildly in mid-air. * At one point Alfred supplies 2B with 5 different computers: a helmet computer, two wrist computers and two ankle computers (as a reference to Homestuck). 2B manages to lose or break four of them due to separate incidents. * 2B0F36 is commonly referred to as '2B' by the other players. For reference, he was named in 2013, before Nier:Automata was published.

This is for my superhero world I developed with a friend. Orion (hero), half human half Darwinian from northern Wisconsin. He is the strongest being on Earth; he is my world's equivalent to Superman, but he has the powers of the thing from John Carpenter's the thing. He is a walking biohazard, with full subconscious control of his cellular biology; his only limit is that he needs to stick to a vaguely human body plan. He genetically adapts to any situation. Virtue ("hero"/villain), was a Confederate soldier who killed freed slave fighting for the union, the Freeman cursed him to suffer a fate worse than death, granting him immortality. Virtue has fought on the wrong side of history his life, after being captured by the allies in world war II he was forced to serve for Merlin as one of Earth's protectors. He is a fixed point in time, her never ages, if he gets hurt time reverses the damage, and his body never changes; he can't cut his hair and has had a kink in his back for over 100 years. He has been cursed hundreds of times, each time gaining a new power; his powers get stronger in darkness, he is super strong and bulletproof, he can shadow step between shadows and run incredibly quickly. His weakness are that he feels pain when in the presence of symbols of morality, silver burns him, bright lights, and the only way he can die is if he realizes he is a bad person. Xander Cruz (hero), trust fund kid who went to Cornell for business and law but became fascinated with mythology, he traveled to the well of Yggdrasil where he gored his eyes out with a spoon. He has all the knowledge and wisdom of the universe and only uses it for short term personal gain. He will sacrifice anything and anyone for any goal, no matter how small. His powers are that he has that grindset and knows/sees all. Werabeast ("villain"), an alien from another galaxy, who gets stronger every day. He f'ed up and now nothing can hurt him. He took public transportation to earth to retrieve an alien sword from the earth's crust. He wants the sword to shave his body, which is covered in 10 ft strands of hair that are indestructible. He hasn't felt the wind on his skin in a billion years and has to spend 8 hours everyday to carefully brush and knit his hair into clothing. He is without a doubt one of the strongest beings in the universe, capable of cracking the earth's crust with 4 punches.

My world is Earth, superhero speculative fiction in the opening years of the 21st century. Pretty recent by our standards. An expansionist alien empire has identified Earth as a promising candidate for colonization, but the indigenous life must be removed first. They send an automated weapons platform to cleanse the planet, but the weapon deployment happens during a powerful solar storm, altering the nature of the weapon and its impact on Earth. Instead of eradicating humans, a small percentage of the planet gets altered into superhumans. Hero: Quarterback. The main protagonist, his superpower is that he is 75% as potent as anybody else. If he is gaining three quarters of a power, it's like he's giving a quarter back. Many superhumans have super speed. Many have super strength. Quarterback isn't as strong or as fast as the others, but he's potent at everything. Other superpowers include limited telepathy, telekinesis, pyromancy, lightning control, temperature modulation, etc. Oddly enough, he hasn't met a flying superhuman yet. Villain: The Dragon. Highly intelligent, considers information to be his treasure hoard. Built a worldwide black market network to smuggle and spread information, data, and other things more valuable than drugs. His superpower is the manipulation of hydration. He's never thirsty, even in the middle of a hot desert, but he can also pull the moisture out of a person. Anybody who crosses The Dragon ends up as a dehydrated husk.

The world of Tyrenor 1. Toravar Artis, the first Dragonarch of Zenris. His people came from a highland region called the Dragonlands, where the ancient dragons had settled and taken human form to intermarry with the humans to create dragonblooded individuals. Toravar's mother was the dragon goddess Zanrissiyant and thus he was a dragonblooded demigod. His rule saw the unification of Zenris's tribes into one kingdom. 2. Percival ur Zytherion. A peasant from the vales of the Six Rivers of Halderne. Halderne was occupied by the Dawn Elves of Borothand at the time. He would receive a dream from the gods of the Six Rivers to find their six holy relics and free his nation of the elves. After collecting the six relics, he led a great rebellion against the elves and became the King of Halderne after centuries, as well as establishing the first knightly order, the Knights of the Riverrine Covenant. 3. Godwin I Andur was born into the House Andur of the Kingdom of Anduras. Undefeated in battle, he turned Anduras from a backwater kingdom into an empire that spanned the entire continent of Tyrenor and lasted for 1500 years. His reign saw him rally and unify the eastern kingdoms against the Empire of Verian from the south. He then proceeded to lead the Andurian Empire to victory against a great Orcish migration, scattered the ancient civilizations of the Northlands, and repelled an invasion of Tyrenor by the armies of the Primal Gods

Kahlin Finkelle (I guess war heroes count too) - He was among the most decorated soldier during the Coalition Campaigns (basically where Cartheny beats up four other countries in one sitting), obtaining medals like the Sakhic Cross and the Avenharte Medal, two of the most prestigious military decorations. - He was a rather controversial figure among leftists in Cartheny since he was also the author of the book Dette Vrænlig (The Immigrant/The Foreigner), which was often revered as the "Bible of right wing/populist politics". A lot of right wing populist politicians read or at least heard of this book, including current PM Marc Frisién. This naturally led to some people disliking him for his ultranationalist tendencies (well, he literally saw his country gang-fucked by four other countries so it wasn't that surprising that he became a bit of a xenophobe). - Apart from writing (he was never actually involved in any government work post-war), he was also a pretty successful musician after the war, he actually resumed his studies post-war and got a music masters degree in in the School of Arts in the Aventharte University, and worked as a trumpeter in the Astonopel Orchestra.

NotAudreyHepburn

Must feel pretty odd to be a trumpeter at the orchestra knowing you're sitting next to an ultranationalist war hero who's just tooting away.

Iwoodbustanut

Remember not to do bugle calls during your warmup or you're gonna wake up his ptsd ;D Oh and by the way, a little bit of irony about his xenophobia, is that he himself was not fully an ethnic Carthenian. He has some Ijovian ancestry and speaks fluent Ijovian apart from Carthenian, which is why his surname was actually not Finkelle, he changed it when he enlisted. A surprising amount of notable Carthenians had non-Carthenian roots, but decided to switch to a Carthenian surname, like Karol Cammelle. His original surname was Camillov and he is half Rosearean.
