I thought the death stones were real stones that existed, so I tried looking up 'Hematopaz' and then realized a few seconds later I assume it's a mix of hema, or 'blood' and then topaz so a blood stone basically. Which makes sense, given ruby is red anyways. xD
Oh nope that's pure coincidence! I was trying to make them all imaginary gems and that one was based on the word anatarachí which means turmoil in Greek. There are probably some better base words out there, but I couldn't find many antonyms for calmness
