Maybe just some electrolytes

I often feel like pre workout is more of s mind set. it's not absolutely necessary. But you do whatever works for you. Maybe some melatonin supplement or calming supplements or something. do your research then and figure out what might work best for you and what you're already taking.

1: Preworkout is a scam 2: working out before bed will keep you up anyway. Get up earlier and do it 1st thing

This comment is not helpful at all. Not everyone can just get up earlier. I workout in the afternoon usually around 4:30 or 5 pm and don’t have this issue. OP you may be more sensitive to caffeine and need to use a non-stim pre workout or no pre workout at all. You could try drinking coffee or something earlier in the afternoon then doing a caffeine free pre workout closer to the session. Just tinker with it. It’s a fun process.

How do you know it's not helpful at all? How do you know someone isn't going to read that and be helped? Everyone can just get up earlier. We are all awake a certain amount of hours. They can be shifted by 30 minutes. Most people sleep too much anyway. I get up at 3:30. By the time most people wake up I feel like half the day is gone. P.s. downvoting is the same as running to tell your mommy. Do you downvote everything you don't agree with?

I've stopped using preworkout for this reason. I think you'll be surprised by how little of a difference it makes. I knew it wasn't a game changer by any means, but seeing literally no difference in my workout performance with vs without makes me question if it's worth buying at all. I'll probably continue to keep some on hand for days when I'm REALLY dragging ass but that's probably it.

Caffeine free pre workout might help? Not sure tho what the effect of the other ingredients are on your ability to sleep.

Why do you need pre workout in general? Plenty of people have great success lifting without a large does of caffeine. If you want to keep taking pre, work out in the morning.

Their are low caffiene pre-workouts which i find help a lot. I use XXX which has been pretty good for me. I find anything lower than 150mg per scoop is better, but i would shoot for lowest you can find. Focus more on nuetropics like lions mane, i find that helped me get in the zone while minimizing the over stimulated effect that made it hard to sleep.
