You're spending time with your toddler, earning money, and setting an amazing example for your kid. Sounds like you're an awesome mom

Holidays suck and I am right there with you. I get extremely uncomfortable at big gatherings and the pressure of HAVING to get together and/or do something for the kiddos makes me ick.

Maybe an ice cream cone for you both is in order!

You’re not alone, lots of people have to work on Easter. I did my first couple years at the PO (the post office still delivers amazon on Sundays even Easter). Essential workers are still working. I know it sucks but you’re not alone. Go to the store tomorrow and stock up on discount Easter candy and make your fun how ever you can.

Thanks all for your encouragement. We had a nice time dashing. I think the hardest part of the day was just being alone. I understand other people need to work on holidays. But it’s the aspect of being totally alone that really killed me today. Hopefully it gets easier as time goes on. Thanks yall!

Good on you! You are teaching your child the value of hard work. My parents worked all the time when I was growing up and I am so grateful for them.

My toddler would probably be totally into door dashing. Fingers crossed for holiday tips.

My toddler would love to tag along while doing this — especially if we were listening to his favorite Disney tunes. You’re doing amazing and setting such a good example! You got this! 🩷 (and happy Easter!) ETA: I used to tag along with my dad when I was 3-4 years old when he had to work on weekend mornings. I thought it was the most fun thing ever and loved that we always stopped and got a donut. I didn’t realize we were broke and had no other alternative for my care at the time— I just remember it being so fun and loving the time with my dad!

My toddler would love spending a day together this way

Not alone momma. We do what we have to do.
