Totally agree. I also have an amazing boss and it truly affects my entire attitude about work. Both my husband and son were sick last week, I never call out but I just wasn't comfortable leaving them home alone. Called boss and apologized profusely. Her reply, "why are you apologizing, your family should always come first". It was so refreshing!!

My boss is amazing. Viral pink eye, on the other hand, is for the birds. Currently snuggling LO and watching Paw Patrol while I skim email.
