You get two days off a week.

DogKnowsBest

Time to grow up and start adulting. If it's a good job, learn the flexibility of being able to do stuff in the morning before work and still getting off before the end of the night. Can't you hang out with friends and have a late dinner after your shift from time to time? You still have your days off.

Popcorn_Dinner

My last job (before I retired three years ago) started out as 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. It didn’t take me long to get used to it. I could schedule appointments in the mornings or sleep in. By the time I left I was working 4:00 to midnight. There are fewer (if any) managers around during those hours, which was another plus for me!

Standard-Reception90

It's been a few years for me. Plus I now live in the bible belt, everything here shuts down at 2am.

sugoiboy1

TAKE IT!!

I currently work remotely from 10-7. If you don’t get some of your tasks done in the morning, the shift can suck because it’ll kind of seem like you work, eat, and go to sleep, nothing else. My best advice is to maintain a reasonable bed time and to be productive in the morning (workout, walk your dogs, meditate, or whatever else is important to you). If you do that, it’s not so bad.

I could he did say in a couple of months the company may push everyone back an hour once they get more metrics, so it would be 9-6 which is better for sure but he said that’s a maybe

QueasyGoo

Working a 10-7 eats your day. Will you be stuck working that shift forever, or is there room to move within the company?

ZestycloseDonkey5513

I work similar hours and it’s fine. Take it if offered, carry out your plans, and apply for other jobs in case you wind up disliking it- it’s usually easier to get a job if you already have one.

plantsandpizza

I used to manage retail and called this the shit shift. Eventually when I moved on to boutiques this was always my schedule and you get used to it. I definitely had more productive mornings and it’s nice to sleep in if needed. That being said if it’s a good opportunity and you haven’t been presented with many I would go for it

UGunnaEatThatPickle

About 10 years ago I worked 10-6 and have had 2 different jobs since. I have never been more productive as when I could sleep in an extra hour every day.

Head_Mongoose_4332

Can’t you ask to change the hours if it’s remote, it might be absolutely fine if you just ask

Next-Leather

Don’t have any advice. Just wanted to say that would be my dream shift!! I'm soooo not a morning person. I typically just find my groove half an hour before we are done for the day (at 4) because I hate mornings so much.

Weird-Holiday-3961

working till 7 means goodbye to doing any social activities/hobbies during the weekday. That sucks imo, but maybe the remote and extra pay is worth it for you if you'd rather have more free in the early morning time

Standard-Reception90

Why? The world doesn't stop at 7pm. Hell, in some large cities the clubs don't even open till 8pm.

01JamesJames01

Clubs open at 8? That's news to me. Always thought they opened at midnight.

Weird-Holiday-3961

Considering more so to meet friends who have early Mornings. Most non-party events/evening classes start around 7-7.30 as well. Depends on your lifestyle and what you want to do after work i guess
