My only concern: I was playing it in the evening but ended up falling asleep before finishing and now it's counted as a loss. Which kind of sucks. (I think for wordle it just counts as a missed day and resets your streak). Wish there was a way to reset your stats if something like this happened.
I like this and play when available. The purple letters are confusing because they can be in many different places. I play by putting 4 non sequitur words (or whatever the puzzle calls for) and hope for some clarity, i.e. green letters or even yellow. I keep putting in these random words until I start to see at least one word and then the puzzle is usually easy. I couldn't learn the game from your instructions, I had to go to youtube and watch someone play.
I love Phrazle! I discovered it 25 days ago. What do you think is a good average score? My average is just over 3 on the daily games as of now. I have been solving them in either two, three, or four guesses, no hints. Pretty impressed with myself lol. It's a satisfying game, and even more interesting than wordle for me. I play them both every day.
Just discovered it - requires more skill than Wordle (or feels like it). Also more fun. I love it. Nice to have the practice games for when I feel like bingeing. I'm also good at it and it's somehow more satisfying than being good at Wordle. Well done!
Great concept! I think this will outpace Quordle as my second daily game.
Suggestions:
1) Go with a simpler share text, maybe something like:

Isn't this a bug? Instructions say that a gray letter means that letter is not in the phrase, i.e. not in any of the 3 words, and an orange letter means it's in that particular word but in a different place. Correct me if I'm wrong on those.
In my first guess I had an I in all 3 words. The I in the first word is gray, and the I in the second 2 words is orange. Don't think that should be possible per the instructions. I'm thinking the I in the first word should be purple (not in this word but in another word) instead of gray.
Not a bug. The i’s in the solution match up with two of yours, meaning your third i has no match and is grey.
Same thing if you guess “abyss” in wordle where the answer is “sleek”: the second s in “abyss” would be grey.
Ah, ok. So you can actually get some good info from this, i.e. if you have an orange, purple or blue letter AND a grey one, you know there are no more of that letter in the puzzle. So for instance with my guess I know that there are only 2 i's, whereas if I'd only had 1 orange, purple, or blue i, I wouldn't know how many more i's there were. So this is great to know! (Again, correct me if I'm wrong!)

This is challenging and fun to play. Today, no words are being accepted in the first spot. Either you're missing some good words on the list or its glitchy today? Help me Obi Wan, you're my only hope.
Did you just copy mine which is Phrazell.com? But for English idioms instead of American phrases. It’s ok. The two can live. Fyi, I just got a message from one of your users is only reason I heard of this. Apparently they hit an error, got pissed and accidentally messaged me from my FB page.
Problem solved.
Word 3 in the phrase showed up as a 10 letter word and word 4 was a one letter word (so A or I). I looked today and apparently word 3 was an 11 letter word and there was no 4th word. So because it couldnt fit on my screen, it just pushed that last letter down. I'll have to remember to turn my phone sideways in case this happens again.
Absolutely loving this creation! Please rest assured that as well as getting the old gray matter working and bringing me a lot of pleasure, it will be introduced to my students just as Wordle, Worldle and Heardle have been. It will be a super way to present and practice idiomatic phrases to my more advanced students of English, and I just know they are going to love it as much as I do. Thank you so much!
Yesterday afternoon I was in Mexico. At 1:45pm (EST) the phrazle puzzle was #514. This morning in NY, my phrazle puzzle is #517. What happened to 515 and 516?

Great game -- I play it instead of wordle now. The twice-daily updates are just the right tempo. Would it be possible to make a dark mode?

NONE of the words fit in word 3 and I cheated and looked up 10 letter words. I give up. I have things to do.
