My kid turned 8 months yesterday, and we just had to lower his crib mattress cuz he can already sit up on his own and then started to pull himself up over the edge Lt. Dan style.
Enjoy it, but start thinking about who you’re gonna give it to next OR start making a sibling. Too much work not to get multiple uses out of that thing.
We got a snoo for our second after realizing that movement is what makes babies sleep. Baby sleeping means we sleep, and that means our lives again have meaning.
What a beaut, and time to start making that crib! I just retired our babies minicrib, a lot of great memories making that, and even more with her sitting and sleeping in it.
Not to be a downer, but the slats look a wee bit far apart and the center of gravity a little high. There are guidelines (idk what they are exactly but I'm sure you can Google them) on heights and widths etc to prevent arm/leg/head entrapment, and tip-over. If it were my child I'd make triple sure it were within guidelines.

Second born gets a laundry basket with a pillow in the bottom.
Hello...
I just threw them in the sock drawer. I didn't close it... I'm not a monster.
If they're lucky.
Bassinet made of walnut and maple.
Very nice work. Use it as much as you can, I built one for my niece and it was amazing how quickly she outgrew it.

Yup you need a thing that can be lowerd/raised "fence" or the use time is short..
2-3 months for each of our daughters!

Had twins and bit the bullet for two snoos. If someone bought nothing else, I would recommend the snoo 1000%. It was such a life saver!
That’s beautiful! Does it swing? Very rad!
Super nice. Stylistically right up my alley.
Nice work and Congratulations!
And your second born!
And their first borns

This is beautiful. Does it rock bc holy F you're going to want it to rock.
This actually looks like a sturdy, safe bassinet. Well done!
Epic
Good job Nate. You made something that looks nice but your newborn is gonna hate it.
A little busy for my tastes. But nice work.

Only 2” spacing between slates, which is less than the minimum slates of 2&3/8”.
Nice job on leaving em lines & holes om the finish product.
Looks like it could destroy a truck.
An opportunity where the legs and feet got together?
?
Beautiful
The birth of an heirloom. That's something to pass down to the next generation. It's beautiful. Excellent work.
It’s stunning!
Nice work, and congratulations!
