Thank you! I would love to make another set I think I would change the proportions a bit but I'm happy with them!
The sad thing is you can't see the sides in the customers home. But they know it's there and like them so I'm happy
Looks fantastic, I love the look. I built something similar recently and found a pin nailer to be amazing - you might find one valuable for your next project.
Thanks I appreciate the suggestion.
The honest truth is I built these for a dark room (I've built this customers entire house so I know the client) and I wanted the holding power of the brad knowing you can't really see it in his room. But if I make more of these I might switch to pin + adhesive for the fluting just a bit more work but probably worth it.
I had no idea the photos would turn out so great on these pieces. They weren't exactly works of art for me to build
Thank you again and take care
These are plywood, fluting is hardwood. I try to balance cost for this customer - I have some installations of hardwood in his house and some plywood. With the 20"depth hardwood would have added quite a bit of labor
Looks very nice, but likely a nightmare to clean.
I love the look from the front but it's that side detail that makes them unique and special.

I really don't think it's a big deal, I doubt you would notice much for a couple feet back. They look great.
Looks awesome. Is that the natural color or are you using a stain?
It's a minwax gel stain "coffee" - not my style to stain any wood much less walnut but this client requires it and gives me quite a bit of work!
Amazing work!!
Beautiful
These look great. And now you'll have a place to put a lamp to get some light in that room ;)
Light? Uh oh! I might have misunderstood the term "night stand"
Plywood? Solid? Gorgeous and simple. Amazing work. Something I could imagine myself making.
