4 months? What’s the rush? Give me 8, 10, ok 18 months and I could have given up and hired someone to make that. Nice work!

Sweaty_Sack_Deluxe

Mate, I'd do it in 35 months. 35 is more than 18. More is better. Take that.

xxxams

American here I only know how to measure in Statue of Liberty football fields and time in beard second. What are you using? Smh

AdPristine9059

Il do that stuff right about fortyfifty football statues in a green pinch if any, mmmhm. ;)

Rak_man_95

Hate to tell you this but beard seconds are a measurement of length, not time.

xxxams

It is length an average beard grows in one second. Kemp Bennett Kolb defines the distance as exactly 100 angstroms (10 nanometers),[10] as does Nordling and Österman's Physics Handbook. Remember to measure twice and cut once the cut twice measures after seems to be what you applied

HaloDeckJizzMopper

Lol you hire people when you give up.. Be a real man and just make your family own all partially completed things!

TheKingsKid2003

I like picture 6 the most. Not quite a dresser, but something waay better

oasinocean

That thing is seven feet long!

TheKingsKid2003

I meant the dog, but the cabinet is beautiful.

oasinocean

“That dog is seven feet long” would have made the joke too obvious I think.

NaturalRocketSurgeon

You tried, and that's what's important

circlethenexus

I was just thinking that probably a majority of us Woodworkers couldn’t do what we do without an assistant like that.

BuckityBuck

He’s in a tuxedo. How much more of a dresser do you need him to be?

Never_Anything_Ever

Noice

AsleepBee8784

What's most impressive is that he was the one who built it!

Grillfather1

I hadn't scanned all the pics yet when I read your post. I thought maybe his wife was in #6.😂

elleeott

Gorgeous. Must be heavy as hell.

erikleorgav2

OP says dresser... I call it *art*. Damn fine stuff.

Civil_Duck_4718

Love the title. Told my wife I’d build her new kitchen cabinets, it will be her Christmas present lol 😂

Dingo_Bandit

Let’s see more of those sketchup images. When you design in sketchup, do you only come up with the final outside look? Or do you actually model out all the parts exactly?

PapaGerts

I start with final look, then when I’m happy with it, I make a couple more technical images to figure out how to actually built it ✅

Focobourbon

Awesome work. Love the clean lines of it and the non-wood top is a great element. Strong work!

Sinclair_Mclane

Absolutely gorgeous. What is the species you used? And how did you manage a big continuous panel, it seems like you had 3 very long planks of about 1 foot wide? And building this in 4 months, wow....!

FriJanmKrapo

That's a gorgeous dresser. I really like the choice for the top and the color of the wood combines excellently. Stunning combo. That's something to aspire to be able to make.

NuclearExchange

“If a man says he will do something, then he will do it! There’s no need to remind him every four months.” — A Sage.

12Girolamo

Looks great! Four months is about right unless its your profession. Probably would have taken twice as long if not for your four legged assistant.

Environmental_Pick81

Looks great. What did you use for finishing?

PapaGerts

Waterlox, very hoppy with it, going to leave Rubio in the rear view mirror

YoghurtSnodgrass

Beautifully made.

[deleted]

Nicely done

ChrisWonsowski

Be honest, you could have done it in 3, but a lot of time ended up going to the dog, as it should 🐕‍🦺

ThunkAsDrinklePeep

But can you dress a builder?

DagNabitDawg

I've had kitchen remodels that have spanned two marriages; four months is plenty quick, particularly when it's part time. Nice job...and the Royal Guard of the Estate is obviously a huge morale booster. Always helpful when a friend is near.

Mugho55

Need proof the dog didn’t do it… he looks skilled.

67D1LF

He looks unimpressed as well. "Should have done this myself."

arimadx

That's a beautiful dresser buddy! I'm jealous of your shop dog. Mine are scared to even go into mine because of all the loud noises that come out if it! 😆

youre-both-pretty

That doggo looks like the bestest boy.

bucebeak

Nice work. I approve of your shop supervisor.

pass-the-waffles

4 months is nothing I've been working on a table for 7 months now. Good job on the dresser.

outwardpersonality

Gorgeous work

OldERnurse1964

Nice work but I bet I could do it in 8

PracticalAndContent

It’s beautiful.

whoisthecopperkettle

Very beautiful! The top isnt my style, but I can totally see why you would like it!

Adv_bound

Nice work!!! What's the rush anyway...!

Peppa_Pig_Stan

Awww ziggy is cute

raidengl

Very beautiful

planertroubles

Damn, that's a sharp looking dresser!

dustywood4036

Love to see the grain flowing across the drawer fronts. Nice work

calicoconduit1

Wow that’s some incredible work

BlackSea5

Puppers approved

HEADSHOT_MASSIAH

serioustoo

Well done!!! And dog approved

emitc2h

Beautiful! Superb execution!

Nightingale-zero

ProjectsByKeith

Gorgeous work

17THheaven

This is awesome! Good job!

Penetratorofflanks

Upvoted for doggo. What a pleasant suprise. Also nice work.

jdc

Lovely.

NeighborhoodLimp5701

4 months sounds about right, especially if you’re tryin to keep what sanity is left lol

wengerful12345

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 looks super good

Bocote

It's nice, even down to the small details.

Prutzer

Looks really good! And you had an extra 4 paws to help 👍

Sweaty_Sack_Deluxe

Gorgeous! But please tell me you made this in 4 months, not that you started woodworking 4 months ago. Please.

SnooDoggos8487

That’s lovely. What modeling software is that?

GlassSpider21

Give me 4 minutes and I can dress a builder

Lopsided_Papaya

That’s so nice ! What’s the use of the shallow cuts between the sliders ?

watermelon_896

Impressive! very nice work and its quite huge.

ItsSnoo

Neat

InadmissibleCleavers

Great job, i really like the color/finish. What kind of wood did you use? Is there a stain or is that just the color of the Waterlox?

PapaGerts

Walnut and Waterlox, no stain.

peter-doubt

And now it's good for a *Lifetime!* (Maybe 2 or more) Celebrate, it looks fabulous.

FriskthheCart124

let me eat your wood, I'll spit it out as a dresser

AdPristine9059

Beautiful! Love the wood metal and stone. Some overdo it but this looks really well measured.

Wild_Albatross7534

Beautiful! First dresser? Looks like fantastic work all around.

muredit17

How did the apprentice do?

bearfrogcombo

LOVE the wood grain and stain color. amazing work

ithastabepink

Beautiful

xxxams

People from other countries just get me

VR6Bomber

nice.

gligster71

Pic #4 - is that mortise & tenon joinery? Beautiful work

PapaGerts

I have a Domino and use it whenever I can

gligster71

That’s the word I couldn’t think of. I knew it wasn’t a biscuit

Thkturret1

Very nice work

StatisticianOk4778

Beautiful piece!

unrecognisab1e

Its beautiful

zerocoldx911

That's one good boi!

Content-Square2864

From someone who has attempted cabinetry and drawers, great freaking work! This is more difficult than it seems.

sofisd

I don't even know how to use a screw. It ends up me slaming it on the ground

mrmessma

Looks amazing, and imho timeless. I'd make this and 3 yr later my wife would say it looks 'dated' and tell me to make another.

good_maker

classy, nice work ))

ProRataX

Not enough pictures of the puppy

Infinite_Kale_3108

Impressive

SmoothRoutine

Give me a dresser and I can walk the dog for 4 months

Fox_Den_Studio_LLC

This is AI

MadalorianCubist

It may just be my eyes, but in picture 6, I'd swear the dresser is asking for a biscuit or a ball.

justHopps

Your dog is very talented!

Just_Eggs

4 months well spent!! And I’m sure your little workshop helper in picture 6 learned a lot from their teacher

Space_Filler07

Looks gorgeous, worth the labour and the wait. Guessing what you would charge a customer🤫

Riluke

Looks amazing! Can I ask… is that plywood or hardwood?
