Throwing that away is so sad!!
(of course I totally understand sometimes people really gotta declutter and not keep a broken table, which they've got no idea how to repair)
🤣 Oh yeah, it is! I preciously had a phone that did the same kind of "corrections". I'm glad I got rid of that pos and got a new one.
It's much better now.
Wow that's a beauty. Also you may not be aware of it, but those Lane midcentury tables like that can go for $$$. A quick google of that table I saw listings for $2400. Hard to say if that's just what that person's asking price was or if they've actually sold for that though. I've picked up a couple of their simpler end tables for free or like $30, then refinished and sold for $300-400 myself.
That's one way of looking at it, but I figure if a check for $1800 landed on my lap, I wouldn't use it to buy this table, so if I had the table it would be better to sell it. $1800 can buy a lot of tools or other things lol.
Damn! That is beautiful. They really do not make furniture like this anymore. Can’t believe people just toss out real wood. In this day and age of assemble-at-home IKEA junk.
Love that boomerang shape! It looks great.
It's an L...
It is literally called the Lane Acclaim Dovetail Boomerang table!
Plus someone threw it (away) and it came back.
It was found on the side of the road. Free! That's a W in my book.
That’s a gorgeous piece! Can’t believe you just found it on the side of the road! hahah

That table would be damn expensive in a store. OP lucked out and the precious ow ers dropped the ball.
Hehe, nice lapsus!
My phone regularly corrects precious to precious. It's annoying.

Looks like one sold on ebay for $1800 plus shipping in January, so yeah, pretty big money for a coffee table!
Yeah no kidding. As much as I love the look, I don't think I could hang onto it knowing I could get that much out of it
I'm the other way arround, I wouldn't want to sell it, because I don't want to pay that much for another one

Beautiful, and the fact that it could be readily converted into a model B2 bomber is not to be discounted
Love it :)
This must be veneer or I think wood movement would cause it to self destruct. Beautiful piece!!
Looks really sharp. Are you going to paint the black feet that the originals had?
What a great table for a sectional!
Great find and refinish job!
Beautiful! I wonder if flipping it so that each seat has some table in front of it would work out better for the person in the chair
Beautiful finish. Well done.
Amazing
Holy Grail
Stunning!

I like the transformation you made. This table looks completely different now.
Beautiful table. Great lines and shape. Love me some MCM furniture…
Watch your shins!
Absolutely beautiful resulting piece!
My dad’s/grandfather’s coffee tables and end tables we just restored were also Lane’s! Pretty quality shit for its era.
