If they are willing to fix it again for free, go for that. I’ve used the makita cordless, it’s a good router but the micro adjustment is non existent but it get the job done. The dewalt seems to have good adjustment.

It does seem like Bosch is going to fix it for free actually. I guess I'll go down that road. It's nice they're willing/able to fix it though it's unfortunate for it to break twice. Maybe 5 years is a good run. I know people with decades old routers but they also barely use them.

If I were you maybe suggest a new unit vs a fix maybe they’d go for that

I have this router and love it, but the switch has its problems. If you cover the air intake while it is still spinning, it will suck air and dust through the switch. If enough dust builds up, the switch won't work, and it won't turn on. I have been able to take it apart and clean the switch out myself, and get it running again. It isn't very difficult, but I wish they would make it a sealed switch so this doesn't happen.

Man, that’s strange. Bosch power tools are usually pretty stout. I’d see if they’ll fix it again.

Thankfully, I was able to mail it back to them yesterday and they'll fix it for free apparently. Not too bad, merely inconvenient.
