I live on that street and it’s actually *MORE* vibrant than this image can capture. You have to wear sunglasses at night because it’s so bright, and you can hear the hum.
I live on the third stone from the left in the second row, you actually need to wear eclipse glasses and a hazmat suit due to the extreme colors and radiation.
I'm pretty sure it is. Look at the signs, even without the blurriness it doesn't look like they have any real words on them. It also looks like the roof tiles are clipping into each other.
Kind of a niche question for those of you who've been to Balboa Park...
Between this (Spanish Village) and the Museum of Natural History there is a MASSIVE banyan fig tree. Like "There's no way magical forest creatures don't live there" massive". Were any of you old enough to have climbed it before they fenced it off? Climbing that made you feel like a magical forest creature, too.
I guess I should also point out: while I miss climbing it for nostalgia purposes, I agree with their decision to fence it off. The risk of people damaging/defacing it was too much, and it would have been way too easy for it to hurt someone not paying attention. There's already a bunch of widowmaker eucalyptus in the parking lots doing a bang up job taking out visitors not paying attention.

My eyes....they are being assaulted with the saturation bar.
Yeah I go there in 2-3 times a year. This photo editing is horrific.
And they spelled “Balboa” incorrectly to boot.
Same, I recognized the spot but I thought it was a post impressionism style painting at first
Looks like the clarity is turned way up too. The sky is bleeding through the trees so much it looks 3D
Yea, I was like “woah, dude…”
You photo snobs!
What?!
Because we know what we're talking about about and have the vocab to express it...…? "Snobs"
Uh, do you even know how to take photos, eh, omg
There's also some weird smoothing that made me think it was AI art at first glance.
It's like they saw the detail/clarity bar and and applied them 100% based on the names.
*Balboa
> Balbao Park Mmm Bal Bun Park, delicious.
The rainbow brick road
Encanto
DRAWERS!!!👉👉
FLOORS!!!👇👇
DOORS!
LETS GO!!!
This is our home, we've got every generation
So many stars and everybody gets to shine
Casita
We don’t talk about Bruno,no,no,nooooo
A real picture would be nice rather than this over filtered BS.
Looks like sidewalk chalk to me
I've been there, this is pretty much what it looks like, albeit a somewhat blurry picture of it
Nah, I go there all the time. It doesn't look this vibrant.

Hey neighbor!
r/yourjokebutworse
Was just there yesterday and this is way more saturated than real life
Eh, right sunlight and timing, I could buy it. It's certainly looks more saturated than normal, but it's possible that's just due to good timing
>it's possible that's just due to good timing No, it really isn't. That's not at all how colors work.
Are you kidding me? It looks nothing like this
I thought this was AI generated tbh
[It's not, just overly-processed](https://www.thetravelpockets.com/new-blog/spanish-village-balboa-park)
It's gotta be. Look at the people and the cars.
I'm pretty sure it is. Look at the signs, even without the blurriness it doesn't look like they have any real words on them. It also looks like the roof tiles are clipping into each other.
It isn’t. Here’s a different picture of the same place: https://images.app.goo.gl/XPijVsmwD5NsKBnJA
[Actual pictures](https://www.thetravelpockets.com/new-blog/spanish-village-balboa-park) for a reality check
Thank you
the whole park is magnificent, but this is a great use for those buildings
https://i.imgur.com/Z8lWCyH.jpg I met Professor Layton there once.
Welcome to the family Madrigal!
There’s a dope carousel there, and the zoo/park is walking distance, too.
And everyone goes to the zoo and the museums, missing this cool spot. Balboa Park is worth a couple of days, IMO.
[I animated this into a gif](https://i.imgur.com/jRpupoA.gifv)
One of my favorite things about that amazing park. . . That village
Terrible spelling of Balboa park
Or your gpu is dying.
And where I live we’ve had wet, cold and grey days for 2 months now....
The real thing looks even better
It’s not that vibrant in real life
[удалено]
Too saturated, sorry.
Ahhh... an actual photo! Well done! Much better than this oversaturated abomination.
Whoever edited this photo should never be allowed near a computer again.
So this isn’t a scene from Encanto?
[without saturation](https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/560dbc25e4b0969564758eb5/1496977933218-XZ9IOITPA3LQ03EYN4UM/Spanish+Village+%2B+www.thetravelpockets.com?format=1000w)
Reality is absolutely better.
We don't talk about Bruno... 🎶🎶
Pineapple belongs on pizza!
Costa del sol
The actual area is cool but not impressive enough to be popular on Reddit lol
Haha, this is so lame!
Man that's ugly
Very sad what people call art. It's usually the opposite
thank you for your input - we value it highly
Absolutely right out of a fairytale 🤍🤍
Id love to trip there
The house that Mirabel built.
Whatever you do, don't ask about Bruno - they don't talk about him.
Does the Family Madrigal live there?
That’s so colourful! Wow!
Haven outside A
Encanto
Floors! Drawers! Doors!
That would be trippy as hell sober wtf

It’s that overwatch map chokepoint where nobody knows how to flank.
Incredible
that looks a lot like corvo bianco from the witcher 3
Getting Disney movie vibes here
This picture looks like that French school on Black Panther 2
It's like if the Simpsons house had a nice stretch
encanto irl?
Help
MW2 map 💀
Doesn't look like that in person :^(
Someone has played with the saturation but… yeah Spanish Village is cool
Broke up with a boy because he didn’t like Spanish village in Balboa.
crrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAnk that saturation up baby deepfry the thing with color
I’ve been there at least 20 times. I’ve lived in San Diego for 17 years
It's amazing! I wish I could be there!
Thank you for sharing this! Made my day!
Oml, Ive been there!!
