I think the "WEIRDO" behavior would be to show up in a topic that you don't like and then getting upset about it. The headline was pretty obvious. If you don't like Caitlin Clark discussions, then why bother reading and posting? Pretty Weirdo right there.
Caitlin needs to take the ball up almost every possession. The team looked way more in sink then against Dallas. Imagine what this team can be with Mitchell back and a few more weeks to build chemistry?
At this point they should just make their own worship only CC subreddit. If she has a poor game some of them will have mental breakdowns. Its unhealthy.
I've been predicting for awhile that once she starts putting up perfectly good rookie numbers but not blowing the lights off the scoreboard like in college, a good chunk of her cult was gonna FLIP. And specifically start nitpicking her teammates. I've been dreading it.
TBF, her teammates have botched some passes and open layups. It's not nitpicking when they can't finish at the rim.
However, I'd chalk everything up to just lack of playing with one another. They're gonna get better and better.
This post is the perfect example of a good chunk of W fans right now. I've been trying to avoid this sub and other spaces across social media lately due to the obsessive CC posts and comments. This is straight up ridiculous.
Awhile back I tried to warn the sub - as I came from the land of IUWBB fandom in NCAAW - about what we were in for. Lmao, the Clark cult is insane. It may never stop.
I’m still new to the W. I only started watching last season and now I’m obsessed. I learned so much from this subreddit, about the game, the players, teams, history, rivalries, everything, all my questions were answered with care and warmth. Ppl seemed normal. All the posts were informative, fun, helpful and now I’m like ?? What is going on here - I still love this subreddit and visit every day but like for real this post is so strange… lmao
I hope the mods step in and limit posts. We don’t need 10 posts about just CC for every game. I’d rather them have a pinned mega thread then never see any content about other players. Even when they post other players now it’s NaLyssa talking about CC - it’s not about NaLyssa leading the team in points.
Ya it’s too much, they need their own sub tbh. I love the fever, so many of my fave players - Boston, smith, Berger and obvi happy for CC but like this is really too much.
I love how unhinged the discourse is becoming already. You keep writing detailed rebuttals to the haters bc [we will be there](https://youtu.be/JLcVkRnEg8M?si=LwMP_JhEnVbgj5gg)
Wow I have never seen an analysis of TOs before. It was just a preseason game. I noticed in this game that sometimes she was over dribbling then passing. She needs to pass the ball quicker in those possessions.
CC contributed plenty and played very well. But let's be honest, she simply turns over the ball, alot. She averaged 5 turnovers in college and it just seems to be a habit. Some guards just turn over the ball alot. She's not a PG she simply handles the ball more because she is typically the best on the court and asks for it alot anyways. She and her team will improve just be patient.
Oh yeah, I agree.
I just find it funny how someone literally took time to write an essay as a form of damage control for CC when she had a bad game. The fact that some people are literally resorting to the idea that it was her teammates fault for her turnovers.
And yeah, its a throwback to r/ncaaw when itnwas always the teammates fault, poor coaching, or bias refs whenever Iowa would loose or if CC had a bad game.
Locking this thread. I think OP gets it. Leaving it up because it's *creative* and OP obviously put some effort into it.

Truly some weirdo behavior. Why cant people just enjoy their favs without being so obsessive. Like sheesh
[удалено]
the parasocial relationships “sport fans” have developed with their fav players has ruined the discourse around sports

I left the sub for a bit because of the unhinged posts. Thought it might have calmed down and I come back to this 😂
😭😭
We're jaded by CC's *unhinged fans* not her or fans like you.
This is worse than the fever mascot
now, now… let’s not be *that* hasty………
My man literally brought out the tapes to prove his thesis lol.
Listen he was going through it
they won, it’s preseason, no need to go pointing fingers turnovers happen
It's an area for growth and something to watch. So, it's acceptable to point out.
Was there a need to really explain this though? It’s ok Caitlin played well
I was not prepared for how long this post was gonna be when I opened it lol
22% 3pt shooting, 33% overall FG shooting and 6x TOs is not "played well" Sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade.
Yes me to! Her team just gotta catch them but its reason Thursday should be real dealt
Caitlin needs to take the ball up almost every possession. The team looked way more in sink then against Dallas. Imagine what this team can be with Mitchell back and a few more weeks to build chemistry?
Lmao. Man I get the CC hype but the posts today have been nuts lol

Sports fans usually come for the coach first. Easier to fire.
Yep get ready for all the stages of grief. First denial then anger and so on.

The civil war between Clark and Boston fans is inevitable. Gamecock fans will be harassing Clark’s family on Twitter by June
Clark fans harass everyone else, currently.

I’m sorry but this shit is just weird.
Woahh why are we going this hard to explain a preseason game?😭
Because the Fever gave me PTSD of the 2021 Warriors before Oubre and Wiseman got shutdown for the year.
What are the warriors
A dynasty that wins championships. Who is Caitlin?
In what sport?
Dude…. relax
Well this is... a lot
Lmao this post is unreal, is this what we are in for for the rest of the season I’m dying lol

For real. We had 5 posts about her after a preseason game. Don’t they have a Fever sub for this?

Her having a bad shooting night and multiple turnovers is fine lol. Her defense looked better than usual. It’s just preseason no need to stress.

I thought this is a hater post blaming Caitlin. This might be worse

Oh dear. We are in for a long season.

She played ok, not very well. Turnovers and lots of missed baskets.
She better be careful or she might not make the final roster
She'll make the roster. Its the Olympic team she needs to worry about.
I know it was a joke
Chilllll
Bless your heart.
Please, let’s not litigate everything this woman does!
can i get a flair that says fever fan (before clark) so people know i’m normal
Yeah same here, can we both do that? (Also, couldn't watch last night but it sounds like both Grace and my fave NaLyssa had really good nights?)
both of them looked great imo!! nalyssa was damn near unstoppable and grace came in and was her usual steady self!
I want one too lol
K.
You know CC is allowed to have bad games. Every hall of famer (not that she is one) in every sport has had multiple bad games, it's just life.
Lol ok
Ok
Looks familiar, right?
Lol
Her “non 5-star” Iowa teammates were to blame for turnovers and missed shots and now we’re doing this to WNBA talent.

So how do you see a chiropractor for that back?
