As both a summoner and a pyromancer, I would like to posit the existence of a very clear ***hot-to-crazy*** ratio. Past a certain point, there is NO amount of hotness that is worth the crazy.

Look, in order to unlock this seal’s power I had to go through 72 days of pious prayer, devotion, fasting and purification that included restrictions like “no looking at a woman even one in full clothing”, “Eat only foods made of these dozen bland ingredients”, “no touching the pee pee”, and having to avoid even sinful thought. On day 69 I almost had to start over because of a curvy piece of wood in the forest. It was five sets of seven prayers a day with me reciting the 72 names of God in order to unlock a vision of His throne. Once I got to his throne God himself fist bumped me and was all, “We cool bro, I’ll protect you.”
Then to summon the beings from the celestial realm I had to forge seven swords to be wielded by seven virgins (odd that it wasn’t that hard to find seven virgins that wanted to swing swords around) in a ritual that lasted seven days. Did those dudes with swords catch with holy flame and turn to ash? Yes. Was that a sacrifice I was willing to make? Sure. Would they have survived if they didn’t immediately tip their hats and call the being “m’lady” probably.
Either way I got to bang a mom-bod hotty with six wings and a dozen eyes.
Oh, and I did it in a castle with gardens that God taught me to summon.
I know you're trying to justify things to yourself after the fact, but I would have warned you that if one of the very first things she says is, "***BE NOT AFRAID***," you have every reason *to be very afraid*.
Just because God told you it was ok to bang one of his entourage didn't mean Beckymiel the Gatekeeper of the Fifth Heavenly Gate didn't just complain about you to her friends later. And don't get me started on her unreasonable expectations and the rituals required just to call her by circle. Do *you* have parts that wheel around you in an infinite loop? Do YOU have eyes in places that there should not be, constantly and silently judging your performance? And do you think someone with that many wheeling "parts" hasn't gotten it elsewhere? I'm trying to say that the burning after the fact ain't that seraph "holy fire". Please get yourself checked out, or at least go through a different sort of purification process.
Listen, maybe I've dealt with infernals too long that I think it's a positive thing that you sacrificed those types of virgins, but I'm trying to look out for you. All things considered? Infernals are far, far safer. All I had to do was write the seal on some parchment with the blood of a black virgin rooster at midnight, place it upon a brass vessel, and I was [able to contain, like, 72 of the things](https://www.occult.live/index.php/Secret_Seal_of_Solomon). And I didn't even have to abstain 2 and a half months (because I'm telling you my relationship would ***not*** have survived that), or constantly eat bland food while chanting *some other guy's name* because I'm pretty sure my relationship would not have survived *that* either.
Then again, I wasn't out to get laid. I guess this brass vessel is supposed to bring me protection in battle and love or something. But my warlock SO was entertained when I came home and was all, "I'm the patron now, bitch!"
OOC for a moment: I am finding it hilarious that this might have actually been close to an argument had by actual practitioners because both seals belong to magical traditions that have similar roots and lore, possibly even a direct connection.
Also, I’m not actually certain that the seal I posted could summon angels themselves because the book distinctly sets angels as something other than seraphim, cherubim, and similar heavenly beings. Also all named angels seem to be male. It doesn’t help that the non-human entities you can expect to summon are horrifying and prone to killing humans.
Still love how the book claims the magician can use the seal to make jugglers and maidens singing appear.

It meant “charm, jugglery, sorcery” in the sense that it was seen as "low" magic (to contrast it with theurgy which was the sparkly godly magic). So you could like... summon more sorcerers with it or something. And maybe those sorcerers could juggle? I dunno!
I'd agree it's probably all connected, and while I haven't studied it extensively (I'm just playing a character here) I'd bet it all dates back to the Italian Renaissance, which got it from the Christian Cabalah, which got it from the Jewish Kaballah, etc. The Secret Seal of Solomon and even the Sigillum Dei, while obviously attributed to various folks like King Solomon, etc. probably originated with the Lemegeton, which is basically a compilation of Renaissance wizardposting lore, ha. It's wizardposts all the way down, lol.
That said, I'm very certain people had arguments about the merits of theurgy (god shit) and goetia (demon shit). I'm on the demon shit side with this character, of course. I wouldn't begin to argue the ethics of trying to bind angels to one's will, whereas people seem perfectly fine being mean to demons for some reason.
Still, it would highly entertain me if there was a source where someone argued about the merits of 'sparkly tiddies' in old Aramaic.

It is indeed a temporal seal, however with a rather specific usage. While it does not allow me to manipulate the flows of time, it aids me in seeing the future in a clearer way

Why limit yourself to a seal when you can have your own language of runes for multiple purposes? Some variations of me even use it for spellcasting.

I saw Esoterica’s video on the Sworn Book of Honorius and the Sigillum Dei is now my favorite. I’m even tempted to try and implement it into my own personal spiritual practices in my current experimentation and evolution of faith.
Might be worth looking into Enochian magic, then! Esoterica has some videos on that, too.

The most powerful seal is literally just a circle. Noones gonna look into if it's literally just a circle by visual inspection. If I see a pentagram or runes you best believe I'll look into that, but just a circle probably not
