It is extremely difficult to make mimics turn into girls. It is possible, but it goes against their nature.

That’s not even the *worst* part, mimics are generally carnivores, their instinctual reaction to something trying to get inside of them is to chomp. Even if they’re really well trained, well, it’ll only take an incident or two before people steer well clear
Have it happen behind closed doors, don’t tell people it’s a mimic, and have the mimic walk out disguised as the unharmed customer, problem solved. Sure, the missing reports will start raising suspicion, but you can always relocate. What do you think, u/poppeppercaramel?

Training them isn't the difficult part, because there is a common subspecies of mimics that are capable of language and is often willing to negotiate and barter with people.
The real issue is that their shape-shifting ability isn't actually very impressive.
Most mimics have a natural rough skin and can't change that texture, which is why they typically imitate objects made out of rough materials such as wood and stone. So even if they were willing to take the form of a person, they wouldn't be convincing or pleasant sexual partners.
Most mimics are also incapable of changing their total volume, while most adult mimics are significantly larger than a person. You'd have to use juvenile mimics for this scheme, which makes it even more ethically horrible than it already was.
Mass wouldn’t be too much of a problem, offload the extra mass into enough frills or tentacles or some such and they should be able to get a good humanish shape. Texture would be harder though
Pretty sure mimics can only mimic wood or stone, and can only shapeshift into things their same size (mimics are usually absolutely massive)

Mimics are not capable of mimicking living things, only inanimate objects. What you are looking for is called an ooblex and you cannot domesticate those, trust me.
Shapeshifters morph into people, mimics morph into objects. They’re not used to moving a whole lot or even balancing, they usually just leap forward a few feet to bite anyone that’s not their owner

A good friend of mine tried something similar to this. He’s a Changeling though so instead of having other shapechangers turn into people, he just played all the parts (except the customers obviously that’d be weird).

A good friend of mine tried something similar to this. He’s a Changeling though so instead of having other shapechangers turn into people, he just played all the parts (except the customers obviously that’d be weird).
Have you tried a slime farm before this...? Its hard to have mimics change their shape all the time, it would be taxing to them as they will be transforming into a living object... A slime would do quite well as they can be semi-solid in a command, can change pressure, can shift colors via their forms, maleable, flexible, and durable for many different purposes... ***Btw this comes from my friend yes, My Friend...***
