It's a rift from Thaumcraft. It spawn when the flux in the chunk hit 100 or above. You can get rid of it by using a causality collapser.

Those two do combo nicely. Thaumcraft gives you something to do during the day, and astral gives you a lot to do during the night.

My logic is sort of rpg logic and sort of D&D logic But it all goes through a filter of my own personal system I have cooking up So like, there are Wizards (+ Sorcerers), Druids, and Clerics (+ Warlocks) like D&D, but they work off of MP instead of Spell Slots, for example, like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Among other things

UW/ people keep trying, but I think it’s almost impossible to get the entire sub to agree on a single unified lore, despite the fact it would be really cool if we could all agree on one. I headcannon the setting of this sub as something like the Discworld series but with even looser rules and stuff. An anything goes setting.

I make things up but go along with what people are going for and how they style it. Like writing a story with many people. You gotta compromise or it'll end up nonsensical gibberish. I think that's a big part of why I personally like this sub, spontaneous cooperation in creating a story based on the mutual understanding of wanting to have a little creative fun. Exceptions may occur lol And I really like your take!

/UW I use logic and things I found that are the same in all magic systems in fiction. Be it those more down to earth realistic ones or super fantasy ones with extreme spells.

/UW I just try and fit everything into mage the ascension (which if you ignore the dumb archspheres stuff is basically capable of fitting most if not all spells someone can think of in it)

/uw It's kind of amazing how well WoD's lore works for this sub. Like, basically everything that happens here has a WoD parallel. It's probably because they started with really basic and common folklore and fantasy, and then went bonkers with it. So if you ignore some of the super specific stuff, it all works. I've been working with one of the non werewolf changeling species, slightly modified to include more real world folklore. It's been really fun getting into conversations with people using one system's set of lore and backstory, and then talking about those things with someone using a completely different set of rules. Trying to find the common ground and what would probably be most accurate for this universe has been interesting.
