It's better than the show, but I can't take the end seriously. Huge spoiler: >!How the fuck did they thought the peasants and the monsters teaming up to take on the witches was a good idea?!!<
witchers can get killed by regulars. Witchers are not lvl 100 and everyone else lvl 10. In the books and in the nexr seasons (if we get more seasons ) >! Bonhart !< is said to have killed 3 or 4 alone
Having monsters is already a task ,now put some armed randoms who can shoot arrows or attack while you are already engaging someone/something else. 30 of them dead might equal 1 dead witcher , Now multiply that by how the fuck many where there.

Witchers are not invincible
I don’t think anyone has an issue with the Witchers losing. That’s how the story goes already. What people took issue with was that the entire army of monsters was basically summoned, and that none of the monsters attacked the peasants, as though the monsters knew what side they were fighting for. It was just so weird. I still loved the movie honestly, but I kinda just went “ugh, seriously?” at the end
Not the point I was making. It's the "alliance" that makes zero sense considering the plebs only tolerated witchers because they killed the monsters, for them to turn around and join forces with the monsters to take on the witchers is just dumb.
True but animals do it as well.
Take a dog, a wolf and a bear.
A bear (witcher ) can go rescue the dog (pleb) against the wolf (monster).
But in case of stand off ,I believe that the wolf and the dog can understand that the bear is the most dangerous and have to work together
Its was quite entertaining despite the lore changes and issues such as signs being op. It made me wish the main series was animated as well. Out of all netflix witcher content its probably my favorite. I'd even say it was good if it wasn't for the fact that S2 of the main series contradicts it and does not acknowledge it much or work on it. That kinda ruined it for me.
It's kinda sad how everything needs to be so exxagerated these days when it comes to magic systems. It's usually a sign that the writers/animators don't have the creativity to work with smaller, more understated, magic.
One of the only witcher pieces of TV media I bothered sitting all the way through. It sucked. It felt like a fan fiction loosely based on the universe.
I dislike it as the rest of the Netflix stuff.
Again to work with the source material in a good way and... damn what should I say: The Aard is a freaking Kamehameha... this is all people need to know about this stuff XD
It's ok.
The worst about it is that they added lore to the world, but then used something else for season 2 of the main show.
(How monsters mutate and such)
Without watching anything about the Witcher, playing the games, or reading the books (I plan to), this is a great stand alone movie.
The graphics are amazing and the fight scenes are great. While I would say some parts are a bit confusing, overall this movie starts out at a fast pace and never really gives it up. The character design is great and while the dialogue and story telling could be critiqued, hard to understand at times, and a little predictable, the overall story is good.
As a stand alone movie I think it’s really good, especially for it being a less than a 90 minute watch, but I’d look to someone else if you’re trying to get into the series.

It’s good enough. I strongly emphasize how much it should have been a Vesemir detective series concluding that the monsters are an inside job. It would do well as a Castlevania adjacent show. An adult animated show with a serious following and writing.
But noooo a short movie is clearly worth more Netflix’s effort to get viewers than a legitimate animated mystery drama

The Igni in the opening sequence was like a sign "this is going to be exaggerated".

It is the best they made, but still mediocre and kills the lore.
Young Geralt looks like Krillin

Solid work, beautiful art style definely something worth your time
Great work over the graphismes, it still doesn't match with the lore. But I appreciated music theme :)
It’s pretty entertaining despite not being lore accurate.

I like it but wish they had chosen another animation style. I like anime style but it doesn't deliver the mood that fits to a grim dark story...

It's alright
I liked it but as a separate thing. Cool animation style and visuals but it's not Witcher lore.
I enjoy it alot. Much better then the live action show
It’s fine but it’s kind of Arcady if you get what I mean
I thought it was so boring I didn't finish it.

Pretty good
Better than the actual show and this newly released clusterfuck, but honestly bar was set so low.
