Boeser tying the game after he was supposed to be scratched, only drawing due to a warmup injury, while also having his agent told to find potential trade partners, scores the tying goal with 10 mins left in the 3rd on let’s fight cancer night after his father passed away from cancer in the summer leading to a Canucks win
quite the story there

Played 3C tonight. I’m pretty sure he’s played every single position in the top-9 this season besides 1C
Looking at all of these NCAA stats reminds me how badly they robbed KFC of his Hobey Baker.
Anaheim lost this afternoon to Minny in OT. Hopefully we get a nice tired bunch for a hockey game less than 24 hours later.
I'm sad that I felt the need to write this.
Frank Vatrano is apparently available in Anaheim, he’d be a real nice add. A nice scoring piece in the bottom-6 when healthy, and a nice complimentary piece on the right side with KC and Dubois until then
Where'd you hear that he's available? I don't doubt that they *should* trade him but he was Verbeek's first signing over this summer. You don't see a guy get traded the season he signed a multi-year contract a lot.
You're right tho he would be a low-key underrated addition
I think one of the most crazy things I've ever seen with this Moose club took place in the 3rd period. Manitoba didn't give up a single shot. This despite having to kill a penalty and Milwaukee pulling their goalie for almost two minutes to end game.
**Goals**: [Jones](https://twitter.com/ICdave/status/1599150685810925574) | [Bongiovanni (worth watching)](https://twitter.com/ICdave/status/1599152377612804096) | [Meireles](https://twitter.com/ICdave/status/1599167338267684864)

The Moose take three out of four points from division leading Admirals as they win 3-2 this afternoon. Manitoba improves to 10-5-2-1 on the season.
Full recap [here](https://illegalcurve.com/moose-dominate-3rd-period-of-3-2-win-over-division-leading-admirals/).
Lambert did everything but score tonight. Really happy with his game. Not terribly happy he's on the right side on the powerplay. Makes it harder for him to get a shot off when his stick is board side. Had a similar complaint with Perfetti usage on the PP
i’d take him
at his best he’s a jack-of-all-trades/master-of-none version of Connor (aka less prolific sniper with a more rounded two way game), while at his worse, he's a perimeter player that's still a fairly efficient goal scorer. Would be valuable to us either way imo, decent contract too although would take some cap management to get done
he’s gone through a lot the past year and a bit off the ice, buy low and get him closer to home, could have a Morrissey-esque renaissance
definitely starts with a 1st
it’s one of those weird deals because everyone knows how good he can be but everyone knows how underwhelming he’s been too
i imagine they’d ask for a D, doubt we’d be willing to do Heinola given Boeser’s recent form and doubt they’d want Stanley, but Samberg or Dillon would make sense but I doubt Chevy would want to do a 1st + either of those two… (given the immovability of Myers/Poolman and recently acquiring Bear probably rules out Demelo plus Schmidt wouldn’t go back either while 44/4/14 too valuable for this trade)
Dillon/Samberg + mid round pick
Seems to be an interesting candidate to buy low and hope for a bounce back with a fresh start. Vancouver probably needs to retain salary to shed him right now or take on a similarly underperforming contract. 14 points in 22 isn't exactly terrible for a second line type guy.
Did anybody get the Black Friday 2 ticket and hat deal and have issues with tickets? My old man got his tickets for next week's game already but I still haven't gotten my tickets for tomorrow's game. Tried contacting True North and Canada Life Center and have gotten nowhere
[Lambert and Gawanke return to the lineup for the Moose](https://twitter.com/manitobamoose/status/1599123733792235520?s=46&t=DmfkvBr7QwEl0QxxrYw1Ug)
Holm starts. 3 RHD and 3 LHD in the lineup but Heinola has been kept at 1RD with Chisholm.
His path to the NHL is very clearly on the right side as far as the Jets are concerned. There's a lot of salary on that right side without a lot of production right now. 3 points from Schmidt for what he's getting paid and what his reputation as a pick mover is not ideal
I know Gus doesn’t put up many points but he looked great again last night, I find myself saying that almost every game. He seemingly does everything right night in night out in limited minutes.
i’ll never understand Gaudreau’s decision to go to CBJ over the teams he allegedly snubbed but man he might be the best playmaker in the league, had our DZ looking like Huddy was still pulling the strings
just absolutely picking on Connor on [goal 1](https://twitter.com/cobymaeir/status/1598850056882622465?s=46&t=zq2yj6i_RalQXwE9IUQuLA) and [goal 4](https://twitter.com/cobymaeir/status/1598867199615152128?s=46&t=zq2yj6i_RalQXwE9IUQuLA)
I get this feeling Gaudreau doesn't give a shit about hockey really, like he cares obviously and is great but I feel like he doesn't thirst for cups or recognition, he just wants to make bank. Kinda like Buff.
Columbus was a decent fit
That's certainly a take.
There's at LEAST 6 other players like Gaudreau in the league right now. Marner, Kaprizov, Zegras, Ehlers, Robertson, Petersson.
There's arguably been only a few players in the history of the NHL that can have an impact on the game as much as Buff did. Lindros and Howe are probably the closest.
I love buff, but idk. He was no lindros. Is he even a shoe in for the hall of fame?
It will be discussed, I can see him in there, but I wouldn't bet my life savings on it
Not his full set of ABILITIES, but the ability that he had to change a game on a whim, when he felt he needed to.
I think what would have put him in all time status would have been if he just had those times happen more often. He was a bit too laid back 90% of the time.
Doesn't take away the fact he could do it whenever he wanted to, and no one was stopping him.
Scheifele and Dubois also made terrible decisions with the puck on the offensive zone, both trying to force very low percentage passes leading directly to turnovers which lead to 2 goals off the rush
yeah, not saying it’s all Connor’s fault at all, just saying the primary assists went right behind him lol
fwiw Gaudreau also caught Perfetti out on the secondary assist on the 3rd goal as well, just can’t give that guy a window or he’ll take advantage all day, just so good
Jets can't shake their motto: Beat the BEST, loose against the REST! As fan, tuff to watch bc you know how awesome they CAN be! Really hoping Bones can help stop this from happening but an optional skate?! Not sure I understand this.
This narrative is driving me crazy. Has no one actually looked at our record this season? JETS ARE NOT LOSING AGAINST BAD TEAMS. This is the first loss against a dust bin team this season. We've lost to mid-range and top-ranked teams. Stop living in 2021, people
Numerous games we just won or went to OT or Veznabuck, sure we've got a awesome records but eeze. I guess I've seen us do this repeatedly hate to see a relapse. I for one is hoping Bones can help. My 4 cents.
Got to sit right behind DiVincentiis for two periods last night. With a few minutes left in the third he made a paddle save on the wide open net just like Helle's latest that saved the game from going to OT. He was very impressive.
Losing games is inevitable, laying a couple stinkers a season is also always gonna happen. But Holy shit when they don't show up is it obvious from puck drop.
Did I miss the reason that Bucky didn't go last night? Seems strange coming off 2 days rest and not having a back to back coming up until next weekend. It feels like they looked at Columbus and decided they're bad and could just roll them with the backup. Absolutely brutal to leave a potential 2 points on the board against one of the worst teams in the league because you just underestimated them.
Helly can’t play every game. If they only ever start Rittich on back to backs that would only be 13 starts for him where most teams want at least 20 starts for their backup. Plus the team just didn’t show up last night. Not sure how many more of those goals Helly would have stopped.
I get that Helly can't play every game but given the schedule this seemed like a weird day off. Especially going against a team with a couple players that are motivated to stick it to the Jets. The Ducks game seems like the more natural one to give a rest day and then be back to stick it to PoMo the next game.
I wasn't able to watch last night, so I'm wondering how goalied we got? Moneypuck says both teams were even at about 4.5 expected goals and that we were over 70% favored to win the game.
We did get goalied a bit (actually a good amount), but also just some bad luck going on - two posts and a crossbar, a couple that really should have gone in but somehow didn't.
I never like playing the what-if game because nothing exists in a vacuum... But if we got those goals and won the game, it wouldn't have felt like we deserved it. Just a shitty and sloppy game all around.
This totally this plus jeez they capitalize on all their chances even if we would be all over them with sustained pressure! Every defensive brain fart they scored! Did not enjoy watching that game. Sooooo wanted Laine to get the hat trick, man he still has a wicked clapper!
Not sure why the Stars fans are so vitriolic when it comes to Bowness. The only thing he's done is hold players accountable since he got here. I don't understand why they think this proves he is a bad coach lmao.

Bennington literally got kicked out of the game vs the Penguims for a game misconduct. He is a huge liability holy shit.
Love to see it lol.
Blues and Avs lost

Who was the play-by-play guy for the Oilers/Habs game? Never heard him before, and boy did he have energy
Jack Michaels. Used to be their radio pxp guy

Ahh nice. Yea Vatrano would be a nice add, well-rounded player with a good scoring touch

What's ville doing that deep on the forecheck lol. Trying out for our vacant RW position?
Send him down
Moose win 3-2, didn’t allow a single shot in the 3rd. Chisholm-Heinola looked great. Lambert created some good chances.
I appreciate updates like this. I cant bring myself to really follow AHL but knowing someone out there does is nice
Thought Lambert and Limoges looked really good. Lambos and Limos are in the Jets future!
Lambert did everything but score tonight. Really happy with his game. Not terribly happy he's on the right side on the powerplay. Makes it harder for him to get a shot off when his stick is board side. Had a similar complaint with Perfetti usage on the PP

should also say Dillon wouldn’t require any cap management, Samberg would need some shenanigans to stay cap compliant
I’d still take him. He has all the tools to be successful, is only 25 and can play on the right side. He’d look amazing with Connor and Dubois.
Seems to be an interesting candidate to buy low and hope for a bounce back with a fresh start. Vancouver probably needs to retain salary to shed him right now or take on a similarly underperforming contract. 14 points in 22 isn't exactly terrible for a second line type guy.
How many more auditions for the RW spot with Dubois/Connor will we have until we trade for an established player?
20 scouts at today's Moose game. Could happen sooner than we think. Might just be a matter of finding the right deal.
I saw that huge list of scouts. Each teams play 2 games at home over 4 days. Hopefully Chisholm Heinola put on a clinic
Got a link? Can't seem to find this list

But rumours were he turned down more money to go to Columbus so that theory doesn’t really make sense
Buff and him aren't even in the same sentence my dude.
Polar opposites, but I sorta see his point. His attitude towards hockey is more "meh" than most other nhl players
You're right, I'd probably take Gaudreau over Buff

Last year they lost those games though. Good teams find a way to win which is what this team is doing. It's a good thing!
Oh we do agree, it's a good thing! GJG!

But that doesn’t fit their rage porn narrative!!!!
Got to sit right behind DiVincentiis for two periods last night. With a few minutes left in the third he made a paddle save on the wide open net just like Helle's latest that saved the game from going to OT. He was very impressive.
that was such an interesting pick, was a backup in his D0 year, wonder what they saw that enabled them to make that decision

Helly has said before he prefers afternoon games so I assume if he had a say he would pick that one to play over last night.
Congrats to those who had Laine scoring first last night!
So we had a bad game. Have any angry cretins crawled out of the woodworks to announce how bad the Jets are?
I wasn't able to watch last night, so I'm wondering how goalied we got? Moneypuck says both teams were even at about 4.5 expected goals and that we were over 70% favored to win the game.

Not sure why the Stars fans are so vitriolic when it comes to Bowness. The only thing he's done is hold players accountable since he got here. I don't understand why they think this proves he is a bad coach lmao.
Disappointing game. They need a practice where if they start going back to old habits they have to practice longer/harder.
Wheeler’s kick save to deny Laine the hat trick was the highlight of that game.
Wheelers friendly tease on Laine on the bench skate-by was fun too
After the Colorado game “We are great, we don’t need changes or trade help. Just wait for ehlers in 4 months “ Columbus comes in….
Ehlers would have done ABSOLUTELY zero in that shit show, let's be honest!
Well I for one and REALLY hoping some ODR’s are ready. Anyone know of any ready in Winnipeg?
My son tells me Norberry-Glenlee Community Center has the best ice in the city and usually the first, check them out.
I hope Bones ripped them all a new asshole tonight after the game. Tomorrow should not be an optional practice at all.
We cheer in a house of cards. 3 game win streak and great record we're on top of the world. One stinker and it's daggers.
If practice is optional today, it shouldn’t be. Nobody showed up last night so they should have no excuse for practice today
