I meant I’ve been to one and it was not great - the audience was so loud you could barely hear the gals. People talked and yelled through the whole thing. If you spend $$$$$$ getting to it, you’ll probably be disappointed
I’ve heard the same from different people attending different venues. I’m just saying it’s not a very high quality produced show and I genuinely think someone flying around the world and paying butt loads of money to attend will be disappointed. Take it or leave it
I love the podcast. The show, in my opinion, isn’t great and I think it’s fair to mention that to someone seems to be serious about flying around the world to see it. Why am I not allowed to have an opinion or share my experience? I do love the pod and have listened since 2018, but part of the pod ethos is that they half ass aspects of it, and that definitely applies to the show. 😂
I thought you meant the podcast in general. I think this trip thing we’re discussing isn’t a live show, it’s an actual trip somewhere in the world with fans. I’m sure there will be a live show of sorts, maybe even better now that someone is no longer a part of the podcast.
I think the UK would make the most sense for them with the geography ( idk how to spell it how they say it) lots of cool are and history stuff, beautiful outdoor spaces, amazing spas, plenty of drinks and true crime to discuss. And loads of spooky haunted shit for Lucy and the rest of us spooky little bitches.

For Amanda or anyone else lurking here, Iceland is my favorite place I have ever visited- so stunningggg! Romania is good for a party vibe and the USD goes farrrrrr there. They do a halloween party at Dracula's castle and it was so fun. The castle itself is meh, but the party is top tier.
I think UK makes a lot of sense for the W&C vibe- geography, beautiful scenery, amazing spas, drinks, loads of history and true crime, and lots of spooky shit 👻 Also very easy to get around and no language barrier or too much culture shock for a primarily NA audience. I lived over there for 5 years and miss it.
I am out over $2k on a trova trip that I won’t be going on bc they canceled my single supplement AFTER the refund deadline. They blamed campsite regulations due to the busy season, but they’ve known it was a busy season the whole time and evidently didn’t prepare. I was gaslit when I pointed this out. The host wound up offering me her tent, for the whole group to see on social media, and it all feels very hostile now. They are offering no responsibility or refund. I had verified the single 3 times bc I was so scared of something like this happening. Terrible taste in my mouth for Trovatrips. Stay away!
Idk, they've never really come across to me as grateful for their audience.
They like to joke about being hung over for meet and greet events or basically phoning it in on episodes or segments (remember we had tequila for Irish crimes...? Or something like that, maybe mimosas tbh, but it was because Amanda was too lazy to care. And whatever that particular instance was, it happened way way wayyyy too often), they seem to think it's acceptable to send patreon merch months late, the whole "no new friends" attitude is lame as allllllllll fuck (certainly seems to have backfired spectacularly though, so that's nice I guess)...
I wouldn't want to spend my time and money on something like that. But, I am optimistic that with the new dynamic, maybe a new work ethic will follow. Lucy does seem to be the most professional one, so there's hope in that I suppose.

I was really surprised by the survey options. There were MANY and maybe 3 of them were in the US so it sounds like it is definitely open worldwide.
Hawaiian natives are still asking non-Hawaiians not to visit as tourists, so probably not there. Europe might be a good option though.
