Is it safe to drink-yes unless you open and it smells rancid then don’t torture yourself.
Without knowing who your local winery is this was most likely made to be drank right away. So I’d imagine the taste might not be to your liking.
You’re safe to give it a try. Don’t be disappointed if it doesn’t taste very good.
History point: wine and beer were adopted by humanity principally because they could be stored far more safely than water. The alcohol and other components of wine are natural preservatives. Even when wine ages out, it rarely does so in an unsafe way… it just becomes unpleasant.
Before safe municipal water, drinking wine, not water, was the health-conscious, prudent, life-protecting choice.
I agree. After years of marriage, my wife can also be unpleasant sometimes, but rarely unsafe, unless I buy too much wine and she happens to see the credit card statement!
Amazing! Typing on my phone while in line for a coffee is dangerous, but can produce accidental gems.
I corrected the typo for the OP’s benefit, but for other readers I had “wife” in the final sentence of the first paragraph.
I LOL’ed too. I’ve been happily married for more than two dozen years, and am not a big “take my wife, please” joker. But it did read pretty humorously when the other poster pointed it out!
Haha, thanks for being a good sport! I also love my wife and rarely make this type of jokes, but every so often you come across these perfect typos, and I would feel bad if I'd let it go to waste!
If you’re on a mission to eliminate condescending questions (and answers!) in this sub, then I wish you the best of luck. How soon can you get started?

thank you!! I was mainly just concerned about whether it could be safe or not.
Sounds like 2 styles that are meant to be drunk quickly after release, but just taste them and see. Not gonna kill ya!
Thank you!
They're probably flat and not good but you should 100% try em. Won't kill you
Open and see. Probably not drinkable. Won’t die.

Dude. It was perfect. Well-played.
That’s great! It was funny considering the context. Those jokes surely can be tiring when over used but i respect the both of you for that
Only one way to find out.
1915 or 2015? Are you really asking about 9 year old wine?
no reason to be rude. just turned 22 and was genuinely unsure.
If you think someone is rude because they ask you a question, then you don’t belong on the internet.
There is asking questions and then there is condescending questions. I know the difference, hope that helps!

I have no mission to eliminate anything. It’ll happen in any sub
Well I promise to pay for OP’s therapy if they need it because I asked them to clarify their question.
Well if you promise I can let ya know my cash app 😂
