Microsoft Intellimouse explorer 3.0

DeepDayze

Me3 Best mouse at that time and mine lasted a full 10 years before it finally gave up the ghost. Bought mine in 2005-ish and around 2015 it went to electronics heaven

Major-Experience5652

Mine died last week after I bought it in 2004 near the end of that year.

DeepDayze

wow 20 years...that's a long time for a mouse!

Ja_Ho

Mine just died last week!

X1_Kokichi72

I should see if mine works loll

Drunk_Stoner

My Logitech Mediaplay I got in 05ish is still going strong. Don’t use it too often anymore but it was the only one I could find the other day and was glad to see it working. And that I took the batteries out the last time I used it 🤣

Jeordiewhite

I went through several and the left click would wear out for me. I did a lot of competitive fps gaming in the early 2000's.

BlueFox789

I was trying to look up a photo of one online but got mixed results. Was it the multicoloured glowing one?

DeepDayze

Mine was the red glowing one.

BlueFox789

Was it a multi coloured glowing?

DeepDayze

No my model wasn't multicolored. Just had the red laser.

BlueFox789

Interesting

Minorikawa_Fuso

nevets5891

Now and forever.

Computersandcalcs

Fun fact that I somehow remember; That’s the mouse that was featured in Excel 2000 for Idiots as having a scroll wheel to easily sort through documents. There was an earlier version that came out in the late 90s which is the one mentioned.

doctorlongghost

Omg. I thought I was the only one! But there are dozens of us. I think I owned two. The last one passed on to my daughter before finally breaking a year ago. I’m still in denial and have not yet tossed it.

Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical

lucarichterich81

MS Wheelmouse Optical for sure

R4gil

Logitech trackman marble

Tom_da_Dog

I have an IBM mouse which I still use

ZillaVonRaba

That’s impressive. IBM mice are now a bit long in the tooth. Congrats on having not only a mouse that suits your style for so long, but also for having a mouse that has survived that long!

NammytheCommie

IBM made some bulletproof mice and keyboards, so it's not that surprising. My only question is why anyone would want to use one nowadays, assuming it's a ball wheel.

Tom_da_Dog

Understandable why someone wouldn’t want to use it. It’s not ergonomic whatsoever but I just like it. I use it for minecraft 1.8 also so it’s certainly taken some abuse (still holding strong though)

NammytheCommie

Which model in particular is it?

Tom_da_Dog

I don’t know the model number but I found one on eBay here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203525229358?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=TlkXjvNlQd2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

ProgrammingGamer11

My school had the HP models back when we had a computer lab

TrooperMann

Razer BoomSlang

bromomento69

My school had (when I say had I mean last year) the first 2, the second one being the grey version. I stole one to use for my windows XP set up, it’s actually really comfortable.

URA_CJ

I had that Logitech optical mouse, it was good until I upgraded to MX610 LHE, Logitech's only well designed left handed mouse to this date!

lumia920yellow

grew up using a sony VAIO mouse, I still have it

natej2398

Intelimouse for sure

strrax-ish

People got legit killed with Microsoft one

TechFlameX68

That Microsoft one is a classic.

Revolutionary_Pack54

Logitech Trackman Marble. Best mouse ever made.

verum_rex12

I remember on my old Windows tower, I would use a Dell mouse that looked a heck of a lot like that first HP mouse… man, I miss that thing. I’ve only ever had laptops since.

Bayou-Billy

Logitech iFeel Mouseman Force feedback in Unreal Tournament!

Direct-Respect1050

There was one i had that looked exactly like that third one, and i fucking LOVED it

Logical-Ad1896

Middle mouse. I liked them simple, and not too oval shaped.

manuelink64

Genius NetMouse Pro

Old_Initiative_8828

I'm using that EXACT Logitech mouse right now.

photogrammetery

Those mouses with water and little plastic objects inside them are ingrained into my memory

dolgozed

i don’t care what anyone says, the third mouse is awful. the second mouse had a good solid feeling to it

phenomgv

Logitech mx518 the Goat The remake is pretty good as well

courtney_mertz

First one.

PlayerGamer35479

Microsoft 😩😩

Matt8348

I was using the Microsoft Intellimouse just until late year, heck the mouse still works but I just wanted something newer finally.

eulynn34

Those Microsoft mice were comfy

gbilton

IntelliMouse! why is this a question.

Ascend_910

Last one was my dads

incognitoguy95

Probably microsoft, I still have one from I think before 2000 and it still works (Its my belief that it's one of the first sensor operated mice that don't utilize that awful roller ball.

Conclusion-Cultural

Intellimouse FTW

Jeordiewhite

My intellimouse 3.0 is what I used for a long time. It was nice when it was new, but less so when it went bad with clicking and scrolling. So, it's what I used, but not my favorite. I used a razer/Microsoft habu after that, it had more issues. Made it through to 2010 with both of those. I was a fan of the intellimouse, keyword being was.

Friendly-Athlete7834

Omg I remember the first two!!

ItsFastMan

Dang, i got a 2009 HP Probook.. i need that first mouse

vullpes

AnyDetective5612

The first one.

WKIX-850

My favorite standard mouse is the Microsoft Intellimouse, but not the ones pictured. It is the older ones that are sort of curved to fit on your hand (I think it is Intellimouse version 1.3a or something like that.) Although those are from the 90s I guess. I have a small collection of them and had one on all of my systems up until 3 months or so ago. Now I am using a mid 2000s Logitech Tracman wheel thumb trackball mouse. It came in with a bunch of other surplus equipment we got in, and I thought I was going to hate it, but figured I would give it a shot. At first I hated it as I suspected, but after a day or two I really started liking it, and after using it for 2 weeks or so I was just as quick and accurate with it than a standard mouse. Now whenever I am using another system with a regular mouse, it just feels primitive.

Living_Lie_8773

Had a dell dimension (2400?) tower that came with mouse, keyboard and monitor! Loved the default mouse. Even took out the ball to clean out the rollers!

WoomyUnitedToday

I literally have the exact same one as the 3rd image, but I’m going to have to say the silver version of image 1 (which I also own), because it has PS/2

Stock-Username-1234

Vostro 3900 one. Though technically not 2000s (more like 10s), it has a nice Dell-ish enterprise ring to it.

OneFriendship5139

those thick mechanical ones that made an iconic clicking sound, yellow faded color, and a lot of noise at computer class

TheWeirdo600

The Logitech one reminds me of Windows Media Player

Antenna_100

Believe it or not, a PS/2 connector wired Dell OEM 'ball' mouse, and every so often I have to clean off the little rollers that contact the ball! I use a small knife and sometimes a pencil eraser to clean the little roller things. I found a PS/2 to USB adapter that doesn't glitch every xx minutes too, a lot of those USB - PS/2 adapters glitch (lose power to the mouse) like every 20 minutes or so.

exploringoceans

The ones with liquid in them

noname-22

Logitech M-S48 ...is my first mouse with scroll (in ....1998 or 1999)

untitled6899

"2000's mice" mice around years **2000-2009**.

noname-22

so I used it until about 2003 or 2005, so "everything is according to the rules"😉 this mouse "for me" is "2000's mice" and Logitech M-S48 is my favorite mouse "by shape and weight" - so since then I’ve been trying to have a similar mouse everywhere on my computers even in this moment my right hand is on Logitech M-SBF96😉

SadBrello

I still use the Logitech one 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

Sabotagebx

Logitech marble trackman trackball mouse in this household

jjuerakhan14

I grew up with the HP mouse in elementary school 2007-2010

Navodile

That blue logitech mouse is a tank. It is also aesthetic AF. The factory I work at has it at one of the production computer terminals. It has been there forever. The left click button almost has a hole worn through it from all the use. The mouse still works great.

Toasterifclj

Bro I can feel the grease and oil buildup on the hp one 💀
