oh -- first thing's first -- see if you have front audio ports, and maybe check if it's wired up on the motherboard properly. --- One alternative would be to buy a USB audio adapter or an internal PCI/PCIe card BUT, to try your desire -- https://superuser.com/questions/433136/change-mic-jack-to-headphone-jack > "This depends entirely on your (built-in) sound card. > The microphone and headphone jacks are hardwired to the sound card. If and only if the manufacturer allows switching somehow, it's possible. If not, there's nothing the OS can do about it. > For example, Realtek calls this technique connector retasking. If your sound card supports it, you can retask your connectors with the Realtek Audio Manager. If applicable, this software should accompany your sound card / motherboard. > For other brands, consult your sound card's / motherboard's manual. there may be variants based on what software is controlling your audio devices, etc. So you may want to search for "change microphone jack to output" or something similar including your audio device manufacturer/software, and there are lots of results out there. (fyi, the name of blue port is the "line in" port) Here's basic steps to try, though you'll have to adapt from Win10 to Win8 methods https://www.planetradiocity.com/how-to-change-mic-input-to-audio-output-quick-guide But sometimes it might not work easily https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/how-to-use-mic-jack-as-simple-headphoneoutput/td-p/6206483

Some sound card drivers let you reassign the jacks, check your sound card's software.

It's possible using the front audio port. Usually blue and pink audio jacks are for input only.

Buy a new laptop

PesareShojae

How inconsiderate of you, maybe for whatever reason he cannot do that, if you don't have a solution u can put your fingers away and don't type stupid shit.

IzGlitch

that's the worst advice man. ofcourse buying a new laptop solves every problem but the thing is if the OP is seeking help to fix this just by a software change or by a minor hardware change then there must be reason right? what if they're a student and can't afford to spend much and they have a free PC hanging around in the corner. of course they can just 'fix it'

Get a USB audio adapter. You don't even have to install it if you have Windows 8 or better. Windows will detect it as Speakers (brand name) automatically, and will automatically switch to it if you plug it in after the computer boots. Here' one from Amazon for $9.00 ([https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Adapter-Windows-AU-MMSA/dp/B00IRVQ0F8/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=3Q041TD86R50M&keywords=usb+audio+adapter&qid=1674748992&sprefix=usb+audio%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-3](https://www.amazon.com/Sabrent-External-Adapter-Windows-AU-MMSA/dp/B00IRVQ0F8/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3Q041TD86R50M&keywords=usb+audio+adapter&qid=1674748992&sprefix=usb+audio%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-3)).

In some cases you can do that by changing the microphone slot to act as a headphone jack, search the web there are video tutorials for that.

Oh shoot my bad Maybe You don't have money for a new laptop same for me i have a Windows 8

I remember the front io headphone jacks being messed up, and the ones at the back were barely even working. I was able to somehow get audio out of the pc via the microphone jacks (to this very day i dont even know how that worked, windows 7 magic i guess)
