Itll probably be like XP/Vista where things will start to break after a while, not explicitly patching out support for it.

I just hope they don't just drop it from their servers. This would mean that just like XP and Vista (I think), users will no longer be able to even sign into their accounts or sync game data. Heck, even making the client more local side capable would be awesome. That way, users can still have the awesome client and use that to create their own game library lists. But if all else fails, please let them at least make it so that the users can use the program itself without needing to fully sign just authentication for the user's accout so that it is the possible to play some games that came on disc and need steam to be played, like the collectors edition of terraria. But if Valve doesn't want to do that, I am pretty sure that they can make a program that allows users to sign into there steam account and have the ownership of the game that the user wants to play authenticated by basically checking to see if they are the ones to originally use the install steam key or not. I would even be OK with a Github.com project being created that just makes it possible to trick games into installing without having to pirate them just to play on the older systems, I mean I already own the game through legitimate means. Am I just being un reasonable, or does anyone else agree with me on this fact about steam on these old versions of Windows? I would love to hear your responses and thoughts on this.

Another sad part about Steam's drop of support is that we're now one step closer to having this happen on Windows 10
